The AWS Cloud Engineering Team provides a scalable, performant and best practice platform for QRT’s application and core teams to
utilize in deploying cloud native services. This team is critical in ensuring that applications are built on a strong AWS
foundation from the perspective of governance, security and connectivity.

Your future role within QRT: As a Windows Platform Server Engineer, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and virtualization infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of core IT services that underpin research technology, trading platforms, market execution, and data processing. Responsibilities * Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and security. * Build, manage, and deploy all technologies related to the on-premises Windows Server stack, including OS, observability, backups, and identity services. * Configure and maintain monitoring and dashboarding tools to track server and application performance. * Build, manage, and deploy Windows Server environments (2022–2025). * Build, deploy, and monitor a globally distributed, multi-forest Active Directory environment. * Manage and configure tools such as Splunk, * Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID integration to enforce security and access policies. * Automate server management using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance. * Optimise and troubleshoot server backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness. * Utilise SIEM tools to monitor and manage server security and performance. * Work with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) to ensure efficient integration and high availability. * Build manage and deploy VMMware ESXi services, clustering, infrastructure and network concepts. * Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, and support materials. * Solid understanding of networking concepts * Support and optimise Citrix DaaS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune environments. * Provide 2nd-line support and act as 3rd-line escalation for all Windows Server and application-related issues. * Provide cross-functional troubleshooting support when required. * Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to identify strategic improvement opportunities. Your present skillset: * Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing Windows Server environments, including large-scale enterprise migrations. * Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS design, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting. * Advanced PowerShell scripting skills for automation, OS builds, patching, and infrastructure optimisation. * Deep understanding of Windows Update processes, enterprise patch management, and security hardening best practices. * Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible. * Experience with backup tools such as Veem. * Experience managing cloud infrastructure, including AWS EC2 and Azure. * Strong troubleshooting expertise across Windows 10/11 client operating systems. * Solid cloud platform experience with Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Intune. * Experience supporting and optimising Citrix DaaS / VDI environments. * Experience supporting and optimising ESXi environments. * Strong knowledge of networking concepts, certificate services (PKI), and infrastructure security. * Experience with performance monitoring and optimisation of Windows servers, desktops, and virtual machines. * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and contribute effectively to cross-functional projects Occasional weekend shifts and out-of-hours coverage may be required to ensure continuous support. As an Infrastructure Support Engineer (AWS), you will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and securing cloud infrastructure to support critical business operations. The team works closely with development teams, DevOps, and system administrators to ensure seamless cloud functionality. Your future role at QRT: * Design and implement custom AWS architectures to enhance the quantitative research and modelling processes of the desk * Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to AWS infrastructure. * Collaborate with quantitative researchers, developers, and data scientists to understand their needs and translate them into scalable, flexible, and secure cloud solutions * Design and implement custom AWS architectures to enhance the quantitative research and modelling processes of the desk * Develop automation scripts using Terraform, CloudFormation, and other tools to improve cloud management and efficiency. * Work on continuous monitoring and optimizing performance and cost-effectiveness of cloud infrastructure. * Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve the reliability, scalability, and security of the company's cloud infrastructure Your present skillset: * Troubleshooting should be core to your skill set and will be extremely useful to have ability to dive into issues without much context and troubleshoot the way to resolution. * 8+ years' experience as a Cloud Architect or Engineer with a strong focus on AWS technologies. * In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and others * Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash) * Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible, Terraform). * Experience with containers and orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) * Experience with monitoring and performance tuning in cloud environments. * Familiarity with agile software development methodologies * Experience debugging with software development tools. * Experience with working and troubleshooting with Windows and Linux OS administration. * The ability to duplicate specific software error or AWS configuration to define the cause. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interpret and answer complex technical questions, provide and ensure user follow-up and contribute to knowledge base content. * Maintain patience and composure as you help end users through their issues. * AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc) are a plus QRT is an equal opportunity employer. Your future role within QRT We are seeking a motivated and versatile Production Support Engineer to join the HK office. This permanent role is ideal for candidates who thrive in dynamic environments, are eager to support multiple technology areas (Trading tools or Market Access), and possess a strong drive for both operational excellence and development innovation. Key Responsibilities Production Support (50%) * Provide comprehensive user and system support across all technology streams. * Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot production systems to ensure stability and reliability, with a particular emphasis on data platforms and processes. * Respond promptly to incidents and service requests, diagnosing and resolving issues affecting data flows, trading applications, and related infrastructure. * Perform daily health checks and validation of trading and data systems before market open, ensuring all components are operational. * Manage and support static and dynamic databases, including troubleshooting data integrity issues and performing routine maintenance. * Coordinate with development and business teams to resolve “pretrade” related issues and implement fixes or enhancements. * Support release management activities, including deployment, verification, and rollback procedures for data and trading applications. * Maintain and update documentation for operational procedures, incident response, and data workflows. * Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and best practices for data management and system support. * Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, focusing on continuous improvement of data stream reliability and performance. * Collaborate with global support teams to share knowledge, escalate issues, and drive resolution of complex data stream problems. * Support evening and weekend operations as required, ensuring critical data and trading systems remain available and performant. Development & Automation (50%) * Design and implement automation tools to streamline operational workflows. * Develop scripts and applications for data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and recovery processes. * Work on projects involving cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization. Required Skills & Experience * 3+ years in a technical support role, ideally within trading/market access * Experience with Python, Bash and PowerShell scripting (with or without Copilot). * Experience with Windows desktop/server and Linux OS administration. * Strong relational database skills (SQL Server, Postgres). * Experience supporting trading platforms and infrastructure. * Strong problem-solving and business analytics capabilities. * Ownership mindset with a commitment to issue resolution. * Excellent written and oral communication skills.
