THE ROLE We’re looking for experienced Deployment Lead / DevOps Consultant to join our customer-facing teams, serving as the critical bridge between PhysicsX and our customers. In this role, you’ll be responsible for owning the end-to-end deployment of our platform into diverse, customer-owned infrastructure environments. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their unique requirements, constraints, and environments, whilst ensuring seamless platform adoption and deployment success.   This is a hands-on technical role that combines deep infrastructure expertise with strong customer relationship skills. You’ll be a trusted advisor who guides customers through complex deployments whilst collaborating internally with our platform teams to ensure our platform meets real-world deployment challenges.   WHAT YOU’LL DO * Partner directly with customers to assess their infrastructure requirements, security constraints, and deployment preferences, serving as the primary technical point of contact throughout the deployment lifecycle * Build and maintain strong relationships with customer technical teams and stakeholders * Gather customer feedback and requirements to inform platform development priorities * Design and execute deployment strategies for customer-owned cloud and on-premise infrastructure * Troubleshoot complex deployment issues across diverse infrastructure environments, understanding the difference between application and infrastructure bugs and triage internally * Act as a system validator to ensure our platform works within customer infrastructure * Continuously apply and improve deployment best practices and standards, and coach colleagues in their adoption * Travel to customer sites in APAC for an average of 3-4 weeks per quarter, where you'll collaborate closely with customers to build solutions on-site   WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Experience in deploying Kubernetes clusters across a range of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and on-premise infrastructure * Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, preferably Crossplane, Terraform, and Helm * Understanding of networking, security, and observability in containerised environments * Proven track record of working directly with external customers or clients * Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including managing expectations and delivering on commitments * Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset * Comfortable presenting to technical and business stakeholders * Self-motivated with strong project management and organisational skills to empower internal and external teams to prioritise effectively * Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across various teams * Experience in a customer-led, customer success, professional services, or solutions engineering role is a plus * Experience in regulated industries or high-security environments is a plus   What we offer Build what actually matters Help shape an AI-native engineering company at a formative stage, tackling problems that genuinely matter for industry and society. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As part of our team, you will work closely with clients on a variety of challenging and high-impact engagements, including: * Shaping a new model for power trading: Create a comprehensive business operating model and target architecture for a successful merger of two power trading organisations. * Opening up a new power market: Develop and implement custom trading tools, processes and strategies, enabling a utility to effectively compete in a newly restructured national power trading market. * Business restructuring: Designing and implementing operating models for complex global organizations that cover the full trading and commodity lifecycle. * Digital Transformation: Working with clients to mature their digital capabilities and embed ML and AI into their architectures, including improving commercial decision-making and trader decision support tooling in use. * Trading solution transformations: Leading implementations, upgrades, and system selections for market-leading trading organizations, including new and innovative products.   YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE   A well-rounded candidate should demonstrate a balance of strengths and experience across the following key areas: * Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or related field. * Experience: Internships (graduates welcome) or up to five years of experience in consulting or a relevant industry role, including exposure to Commodities & Energy Trading initiatives. * Energy & Power Trading: A strong understanding of power markets and trading mechanisms (e.g. day‑ahead, intraday/real‑time, bilateral and OTC markets), including how electricity prices are formed. * Business & Process Analysis: The ability to identify and structure business problems, understand value drivers, and translate requirements into practical, impactful solutions. * Project Delivery: A proven track record of delivering projects end‑to‑end, adapting to different roles across the project lifecycle and working effectively within complex delivery environments. * Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
