About Modo Energy
The energy transition is the biggest infrastructure buildout in human history. Modo Energy is the data platform at the centre of
it.
We build the benchmarking, forecasting, and valuation tools that the world's most serious energy investors, developers, and
operators depend on to make decisions. If a battery gets financed, built, or traded anywhere in the world, there's a good chance
Modo data was in the room.
Founded in 2019, we're 80+ people across London, New York, Sydney, and Madrid; $30M Series B, AI-native, and moving fast.
This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally.
At Modo Energy, we're building the global standard for benchmarking and valuing the world's electrification assets: batteries,
solar, wind, and data centres. Our mission is to make the energy transition understandable, and we believe great design is core to
that mission. We want complex information to feel simple, elegant, and a joy to use.
The Role
We're looking for a Designer to join our London team and work across both marketing and product design. This is a generalist role;
one week you might be designing a landing page, the next you're designing UI for The Modo Energy Terminal platform or creating
assets for a conference stand.
We move fast and have strong product opinions; what we need is someone who can bring those to life beautifully, and over time help
us raise the bar on craft and design thinking across the company.
You'll sit within the Product Operations team as an early designer hire, with direct cross-functional touch points across product
and engineering. This is an entry to mid-level role with real room to grow: Modo is still early and the design function is being
built, which means your work will have outsized impact from day one.

Monday and Friday flexible. We offer top-of-market compensation, equity for every employee, and the space to take your career
wherever you want it to go.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Strong product design craft across interaction, visual design and prototyping, with clear attention to detail and quality. * Experience working on or contributing to digital products or design systems, with an understanding of how systems scale across teams and platforms. * Experience designing across web and mobile, including familiarity with iOS and Android platform conventions and hybrid environments. * Confidence applying accessibility standards in practice. * The ability to communicate ideas clearly and document work in a way that supports both design and engineering, with a working understanding of HTML, CSS and accessible, semantic markup. * A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships across product, engineering, editorial and brand teams. * Comfortable collaborating with others through feedback, contribution and shared ways of working. * An understanding of how individual design decisions contribute to broader system quality, consistency and maintainability. AI AND EMERGING TOOLING * Up to date with and interested in how AI is shaping design and development workflows. * Experience using or exploring AI-assisted tools, with an understanding of how systems can support these workflows. * Interest in applying AI in practical ways to improve speed, quality and consistency.
