Job overview This is a fantastic role suited to a fully qualified accountant with strong excel skills and experience working in a multinational environment. You will be part of a high performing and expanding team, working closely with the Group Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller to produce monthly-consolidated accounts. Key responsibilities * Working with Group entitles to report the accounting data monthly, ensuring the group reporting deadlines are clearly communicated and met. Analyse and understand local data to ensure accuracy and completeness, consistent reporting and mapping to the Group chart of accounts. * Work on specific areas on the month end close including intercompany, group balance sheet reconciliations, customer data consolidation and analysis and debtor/creditor reporting and analysis. * Supporting the establishment and implementation of Group accounting, reporting and control policies across the Group, ensuring their consistent application across all subsidiaries (e.g. revenue and cost recognition, foreign exchange transactions, activity-based costing etc.) * Supporting the preparation of Group weekly cashflow forecasts. * Assisting with external audits and coordination of information. * Supporting on quarterly covenant checks and other compliance reporting. * Support budget and forecast process. * Doing ad-hoc reviews on different areas of spend depending on business needs. * Getting involved in the accounting of certain key areas such as investments, leases and hedging. * Be involved and supporting on the implementation of Microsoft Business Central across the Group. * Supporting the data entry for smaller entities / holding companies in the Group. Essential skills and experience * Fully qualified accountant (Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA /CA). * Strong technical skills and experience with UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS standards. * Strong excel skills, experience with data manipulation and wrangling. * Be meticulous, thorough, and able to spot discrepancies. * Exceptional communication skills, report writing and presentation skills and be able to communicate to a range of people including non-finance and also in other countries. * The position will work across an international footprint and will therefore need to work closely with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds so foreign languages skills would be an advantage to the role. Senior Financial Accountant | 📍London | 💰Competitive Salary + Benefits About the Role We're looking for a qualified Senior Financial Accountant to join our Financial Control team, supporting our Buyagift and Red Letter Days brands. Based in London, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and providing valuable insight that helps drive business decisions. THE ROLE We're seeking a Management Accountant, preferably based in the UK (London) and fluent in English (other languages such as Italian or Spanish would be a plus). You will support in managing Group-owned fund entities end to end – accounting is currently outsourced but can be in-housed in the future and be part of the scope of your role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES This will be an integral role in the Group Finance team with the following responsibilities: * Review Quarterly Management Accounts from external administrators * Review loan workings on quarterly basis * Review Quarterly Capital Account Statements from external administrators * Calculation of both monthly and quarterly inter-group invoicing in line with transfer pricing guidelines * Management of the year-end Financial Statements for all corporate fund entities * Manipulate and upload corporate fund entities data into NetSuite (Accounting software) * Ad-hoc direct bookkeeping in NetSuite * Daily collaboration and communication with outsourced administrators and various third-party providers * Review the information provided by the outsourced provider * Assist in consolidating the fund entities * Assist in improving month end close process and management * Manage payment and approvals for corporate fund entities * Manage monthly cashflow forecasting for corporate fund entities including CapAd calculations performed * Manage monthly cash sweeping mechanism for corporate fund entities * Maintenance of monthly cash concentration loan interest file * Manage payment requests for corporate fund entities * Review and approve quarterly Notices; GPS/Rebate workings and Equalisation workings in collaboration with Fund Team * Maintain invoice register and bank reconciliations for fund entities * Maintain shared files * Assist with co-sec activities and loan documentation between group entities * Assist with FCA reporting throughout the year * Track fund fees and rebate in the summary workbook * Provide a degree of control over fund commitments * Ad hoc activities as required by group finance SKILLS & COMPETENCIES To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: * Time management & prioritization skills - things can get a little hectic, so the ability to effectively manage yourself and your workload is critical * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in English or/and other European languages) - you must be able to organize your thoughts in a way that others find clear and compelling. You will be expected to together well-written, grammatically correct emails and other communications.
