We're looking for an experienced operational leader to own our Capital Management domain, leading the teams responsible for delivering capital calls, distributions, treasury operations and ongoing fund operations across multiple European markets. This isn't a traditional operations leadership role. You'll lead experienced operational teams while partnering daily with Product and Engineering to continuously redesign how fund operations should work. YOUR ROLE As Head of Fund Operations, you'll lead our Capital Management domain, the cross-functional organisation responsible for delivering capital calls, distributions, treasury services and day-to-day fund operations across our European markets. You'll lead experienced managers and senior specialists, helping them scale high-performing teams while continuously improving service quality, efficiency and customer experience. Together with your Product Manager and Engineering Manager, you'll shape the future of fund operations, balancing operational excellence with product innovation. You'll be responsible for: * Leading managers and senior operational experts across multiple markets. * Owning operational delivery for capital calls, distributions, treasury operations, investor support and fund-related operational services. * Driving operational excellence across quality, efficiency, customer satisfaction and scalability. * Coaching experienced fund operations professionals through complex operational, legal and fund-specific challenges. * Setting clear priorities, allocating capacity and ensuring your organisation scales alongside company growth. * Partnering closely with Product and Engineering to automate manual work, improve internal tooling and influence product direction. * Working cross-functionally with Fund Accounting, Investor Onboarding, Fund Implementations and Customer Success to deliver a seamless customer experience. * Hiring, developing and retaining exceptional operational talent. * Leading through ambiguity, resolving escalations and ensuring consistent execution across multiple teams and markets. ABOUT YOU We're looking for someone who combines deep operational expertise with outstanding leadership. You'll likely have: * Significant leadership experience within fund administration, private equity, venture capital or another complex financial operations environment. * Experience leading managers and building high-performing organisations across multiple teams. * Strong expertise in fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, investor servicing and treasury processes. * The credibility to coach experienced operators through complex fund structures, LP agreements and operational challenges. * A systems mindset. You naturally think about automation, process design and scalable operating models. * Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams to improve operational tooling or strong interest in building technology-enabled services. * Strong commercial judgement with the ability to balance customer experience, operational quality and efficiency. * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams. * A bias for ownership. You’ll work closely with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, Product and senior leadership to enable growth, simplify our structure, and manage risk with clarity and speed. Your role As our Head of Taxation, you’ll own the end‑to‑end tax strategy and execution across Europe, Iceland and the UK, spanning VAT, corporate taxes, transfer pricing, effective tax planning, and support for tax accounting. This is a high‑impact leadership role ideal for someone with a strong background in payments and banking, based in London. In this role, you’ll get to * Lead the Group’s tax strategy, governance and operations across Europe, Iceland and the UK, covering VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and effective tax planning. * Ensure on‑time, accurate tax compliance and reporting across jurisdictions, with robust controls and audit‑ready documentation. * Drive tax‑efficient, well‑governed planning that sustainably optimises ETR and cash tax while aligning to our business model and regulatory expectations. * Oversee tax accounting support, including current and deferred tax provisions, ETR analysis, disclosures and audit coordination. * Set and operationalise transfer pricing policies and documentation (Master/Local files), manage intercompany arrangements and defend positions as needed. * Identify and manage key tax risks; implement controls, monitoring and escalation routines that prioritise what matters most for the business. * Partner with Legal on entity simplification, reorganisations and tax‑efficient restructures; ensure clean execution and documentation. * Translate complex tax topics into clear, decision‑ready insights for senior stakeholders; frame trade‑offs and prioritise business risk. * Support M&A and strategic transactions (structuring, diligence, integration, post‑deal TP and compliance setup). * Build a scalable operating model across in‑house, advisors and technology; develop and coach a high‑performing team. Your story * Senior tax leader with deep experience in payments and/or banking, operating across multiple European jurisdictions including Iceland and the UK. * Expert knowledge of VAT, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and cross‑border structuring, with a track record of delivering effective tax planning under strong governance. * Proven leadership of tax accounting processes (IAS 12/local GAAP provisions, ETR analysis, disclosures) and clean audit outcomes. * Exceptional senior stakeholder skills: you simplify complex tax matters, enable decisions, and prioritise business risks. * Strong partnership with Legal on simplification, reorganisations and restructures. * Experience managing tax authority interactions, audits and controversy to pragmatic resolutions. * Builder mindset: scalable processes, controls and operating models; comfortable with tax tech, data and automation. * Professional qualification preferred (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
