Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the
world’s leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start:
So far, we’ve rebuilt the Big Three consumer finance products from scratch: loans, credit cards and car finance. We get money into
our customers’ hands in minutes instead of days.
We’re growing fast, and there’s a lot more to do: we’re going after the two biggest Western markets (UK and US) where trillions
worth of financial products are held by big banks with dated systems and painful processes.
1. Take ownership across a broad remit. You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and
success of Lendable from day 1
2. Work in small teams of exceptional people, who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than
the status quo
3. Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting
We’re entering a once-in-a-company moment: a major step-change in our D2C marketing investment, a full rebrand of the company and
product under the Zable brand, and a marketing function being built out at pace under a newly-appointed CMO. This is one of the
most exciting marketing builds in UK fintech right now, with the financial strength, customer base, and product depth to back it
up.
We’re building out our SEO function for the first time and need a strong technical operator to make our sites the fastest,
cleanest and most crawlable in UK fintech. We’re looking for a Senior Technical SEO to own technical SEO across Zable. Reporting
to a Head of SEO we’re hiring in parallel, you’ll partner with engineering and product to ship the work that unlocks compounding
organic growth, site architecture, performance, schema, indexation and AI search readiness.
This role goes beyond traditional technical SEO. Some of our biggest organic opportunities will come from building SEO-led product
surfaces, calculators, comparison tools, interactive guides, and more ambitious full-stack products designed to capture
high-volume search demand. You'll scope, ship and continuously improve those builds, bringing the SEO lens to every launch and
helping us decide where the biggest organic bets are worth a product investment, not just a content one. In order to do this you
will have strong technical and AI capabilities, enabling you to take a product from plan to brief to design and from build to
launch with a high level of autonomy.

JOIN PROTON AND BUILD A BETTER INTERNET WHERE PRIVACY IS THE DEFAULT Proton was founded in 2014 by scientists from CERN on a simple truth: privacy is a fundamental human right. Since then, we've built the world's largest encrypted email service (Proton Mail) and expanded into Proton VPN, Proton Drive, Proton Pass, and Proton Calendar — tools used by millions globally to protect their freedom, fight censorship, and keep their data safe. In some situations, Proton has literally helped save lives. We are profitable, independent (no VC control), and selectively hire from the top ~1% of applicants. Our 700+ team members across 50+ countries come from leading organizations and elite academic backgrounds. We move fast, keep hierarchy light, and prioritize impact over optics. If you want to do meaningful work with exceptionally high-caliber people, this is it. Check our open-source projects here. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE ORGANIC GROWTH TEAM The Organic Growth team owns Proton's SEO strategy across all products and markets — one of our highest-leverage acquisition channels. We operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing: we don't just recommend changes, we ship them. The team works directly with engineers to influence how our platform is built and treats search as a technical discipline first, not a content afterthought. You'll have real autonomy, real data, and a real seat at the table. If you're used to fighting to get SEO taken seriously, this will feel different. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT YOU'LL OWN This is not a "tweak meta tags" job. You will solve real technical challenges, work with large datasets, and influence how our platform is built. We are not treating SEO as an afterthought. You will have autonomy to shape strategy backed by a team that invests in organic search. You'll own SEO from strategy through execution, working closely with product and engineering teams to drive measurable business growth. Your responsibilities include: * Own the SEO roadmap, from identifying opportunities to prioritising initiatives and measuring impact. * Lead technical SEO initiatives across crawling, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, rendering, and JavaScript SEO. * Analyse organic performance using Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Oncrawl, Screaming Frog, and other SEO tools. * Work with large datasets (SQL and BigQuery are a plus) to uncover opportunities beyond standard reporting. * Partner with engineering and product teams to ship technical improvements that move the needle. * Drive international SEO strategy, including hreflang implementation and scalable site architecture. * Collaborate with content teams to identify search intent and prioritise high-impact content opportunities. * Support authority growth through digital PR and strategic link acquisition. * Build reporting that connects SEO performance to traffic, revenue, and business growth. * Design, run, and evaluate SEO experiments to continuously improve performance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who brings most of the following: * Proven experience growing organic traffic through SEO. * Strong understanding of technical SEO and how modern websites work. * Experience working with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or similar SEO platforms. * Confidence working with data to turn complex problems into clear, actionable insights. * Experience collaborating with engineering, product, or development teams. * A naturally curious mindset—you enjoy understanding why something happens, not just what to change. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NICE TO HAVE * Experience working on large-scale websites such as ecommerce, SaaS, marketplaces, or publisher platforms. * SQL and/or BigQuery experience. * Deep expertise in site architecture, crawl optimisation, and JavaScript SEO. * Experience with BI tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI. * Familiarity with SEO testing or experimentation frameworks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT YOU'LL GET * Real ownership without having to fight for SEO to be taken seriously. * Interesting technical challenges beyond content optimisation. * The tools, data, and engineering support needed to do great work. * Close collaboration with product, engineering, and marketing teams. * A direct line between your work and measurable business outcomes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHO THRIVES HERE You're curious, analytical, and enjoy digging into complex problems. You're just as comfortable thinking strategically as you are getting hands-on with implementation. You challenge assumptions with data, enjoy working across teams, and care more about impact than activity. If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT WE OFFER * Work that Matters: Millions of people trust Proton with their privacy. We answer only to our users — not advertisers, not investors with conflicting agendas, not governments. * A Great Team: Diverse, collaborative, and tight-knit, with people from MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Caltech, Cambridge, ETH, and more. * Technology: The right hardware and software to do your best work. * Learning & Development: We invest in your growth. Proton is one of the fastest ways to accelerate your career — real challenges, real ownership, from day one. * Employee Benefits: Strong health coverage, solid retirement options, generous leave, and wellness support. * Stock Options: From day one, you have a real stake in what we're building. When Proton wins, you win. * In-Person Collaboration: Offices across Geneva, Zürich, Barcelona, London, and more. You'll spend most of your time collaborating face-to-face. * Food: Lunch and snacks on us every day in the office. * Transport: We cover public transport, bike allowances, or parking — whichever works for you. * Flexible Working: You own your schedule. Outcomes matter more than clock-in times. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION At Proton, we believe diversity drives innovation and strengthens our mission to provide privacy as a default for all. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all individuals — regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical ability, or socio-economic background — feel valued and empowered. If you need any extra support or reasonable adjustments during the hiring process, please let your talent partner know. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE When you apply for a position at Proton Technologies AG, your information is stored in Greenhouse in accordance with its Service Privacy Policy.
