About the Role
As Field Deployment Engineer, you are responsible for the end-to-end deployment, installation, commissioning, and sustainment of
the company's technical systems at client sites. You own system functionality in the field from initial site survey through
on-site acceptance — across both hardware and software. You are also the expert operator on-site: you develop deep mastery of the
system, operate it proficiently in the field, and train client teams toward full autonomy.
This is an engineer-level role with a strong field and hardware lean — not a pure developer role, not a technician role. The dual
hardware and software capability is essential. High travel and extended on-site campaigns are core to this position.

About the Role As Field Deployment Lead, you are the senior technical authority on-site for the deployment of our advanced technology systems. You own end-to-end system functionality across hardware and software, lead a team of deployment engineers, and serve as the primary expert operator and trainer — driving customer teams to full operational autonomy. This role combines deep technical ownership with field leadership and a direct customer-facing responsibility in high-stakes environments. Responsibilities * Deployment Leadership: Lead on-site deployment of technical systems — including core hardware units, ground infrastructure, and control software — from site survey through customer acceptance. * Technical Authority: Own end-to-end system functionality in the field across hardware and software layers; serve as the senior escalation point for technical issues. * Team Management: Guide and coordinate a team of Field Deployment Engineers; ensure execution quality, task allocation, and team development on-site. * Commissioning & Acceptance: Oversee system configuration, testing, and validation; own the acceptance process through to customer sign-off. * Operator Training: Deliver expert-level training to customer teams on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting — driving autonomy and operational readiness. * Troubleshooting & Escalation: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and integration issues in the field; escalate unresolved blockers with structured documentation. * Cross-functional Coordination: Act as the primary field interface with engineering, programme, and product teams; relay field findings to support iteration and improvement. * Documentation: Produce rigorous deployment, acceptance, and training documentation; maintain structured records of site configurations, issues, and resolutions. Candidate Requirements * 5+ years of experience in field deployment, systems integration, or technical commissioning on enterprise-grade or complex electronics systems. * Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers in field or operational environments. * Hands-on experience with hardware/software integration in operational environments — experience with complex integrated sensing or control systems is a strong plus. * Strong systems-level understanding: ability to troubleshoot and own resolution across hardware, software, and connectivity layers. * Proven ability to train and bring customer teams — including technical end-users — to operational autonomy on complex systems. * High degree of field autonomy and composure in high-stakes, time-sensitive environments. * Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organisational skills. * Comfortable with a dynamic schedule requiring frequent international presence. * Fluency in English required; French and Arabic is a plus. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a hands-on, product-side Integration Software Engineer to join our Software Engineering team. In this role, your core mission is to develop, validate, harden, and fold software interfaces into our core product line, enabling our advanced systems to connect seamlessly with third-party and customer-provided data streams. This is a role for a focused, skilled coder who builds robust connectors rather than a systems-engineering generalist. You will own a multi-data-stream scope built to extend from one integration family to others over time, operating with a reusable-capability mindset so that each new integration is faster and more reliable than the last. You will sit at a key architectural boundary: you ensure the data gets into the system correctly (while integration engineering teams make sense of it), and you build the software capability (while Deployment Engineers manage site installation and commissioning). Note: This position is primarily office-based, requiring episodic travel to customer operational sites for integration validation and commissioning phases rather than a permanent forward-deployed site presence. RESPONSIBILITIES * Interface Analysis: Rigorously study third-party data interfaces and explicitly define how external data feeds will robustly flow into our software architecture. * Connector Development: Design, code, and deploy the critical software interfaces and backend connectors required to ingest and translate raw external data into our system's expected internal format. * Data Handling: Manage complex data ingestion architectures with absolute stability—ensuring high performance across data formatting, framing, coordinate frame transformations, precise timing/latency, and resilient error handling. * Validation & Testing: Test integrations end-to-end against highly representative data simulators, and travel to field sites to verify real-world correctness, latency bounds, and operational reliability. * Hardening & Productization: Harden all developed integrations, folding durable and reusable software capabilities directly back into the core product baseline to avoid per-deployment one-offs. * Regression Protection: Continuously support and build automated regression testing workflows for external integrations to guarantee that new core product releases never break active deployed connections. * Collaboration & Roadmap Feedback: Partner closely with integration engineering, product, and field deployment teams to surface critical integration requirements and drive them directly into the core product roadmap. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS * Educational Background: A strong academic record—ideally in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or a highly quantitative discipline). * Software Engineering Background: Deep, practical experience in software engineering (experience with C++ or Rust are a plus), specifically focused on systems integration, backend data-interface engineering, and connector development. This role requires an active coder. * Data Interface Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with structured data feeds, framing/parsing algorithms, real-time streaming, or embedded data-exchange protocols. * Systems Thinking & Complex Projects: An avid learner with a demonstrated capacity to handle large-scale, complex systems spanning multiple subsystems, third-party systems, and external hardware-adjacent interfaces. * Linux & Operations: Highly comfortable operating in Linux environments; proficient at deploying, configuring, and debugging software stacks within demanding, operational settings. * Adaptability, Mobility & Field-Willingness: Thrives under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; embraces a "no-task-is-too-small" mentality. About the Role As a System Engineer, you will own the architecture, system definition and implementation of one of our robotic systems — from concept to field deployment. You will work hand-in-hand with project managers and technical leads to translate mission needs into system-level designs, coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensure overall system performance, robustness, and reliability. Responsibilities * System Architecture: Transform system requirements into architectures solutions. * Technical Coordination: Lead cross-functional design across mechanical, electrical, software, GNC, and ML teams. * Trade-Off & Design Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off analyses, and system-level simulations to guide technical choices. * Integration & Validation: Oversee system integration, prototyping, and validation, ensuring performance targets are achieved. * System Reviews: Drive design and architecture reviews, maintaining consistency between requirements, design, and testing. * Continuous Improvement: Implement processes to enhance requirements traceability, system documentation, and validation workflows. Candidate Requirements * 10+ years of experience in system engineering within robotics, aerospace, or defense sectors. * MSc in Engineering (any field); PhD is a plus. * Proven experience leading full system lifecycles (concept → prototype → validation). * Strong background in system architecture, requirements engineering, and trade-off analysis. * Broad engineering culture with understanding of mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems. * Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing technical interfaces. * Rigorous, structured, and mission-driven mindset with strong analytical skills. * Excellent communication and documentation abilities. * Bonus: Experience with UAS or defense systems.
