TransferGo is a growing fintech scale-up on a mission to champion financial freedom with care. We strive to provide tailored, more affordable financial services that make people's hard-earned money go further. Now in our 14th year, with close to 400 employees in offices across Europe and the UK, we’re crafting a brilliant, relevant product that makes a difference in people's lives and the well-being of their families. We’ve come this far by building a talented, diverse workforce on a fair culture and our strong values. Having this strong team of employees, we can serve those who really need our product to make their lives better. ROLE OVERVIEW Pricing & Monetisation Strategy Lead is a new, senior individual contributor role and TransferGo's first dedicated pricing strategist. Sitting within Commercial and reporting directly to the CCO, this role owns the end-to-end commercial logic underpinning how TransferGo prices its products, manages take rate, and monetises across its corridor network and customer segments. This is a high-autonomy position. The successful candidate will work extensively across the organisation without close supervision, partnering with Product, Finance, Growth, Marketing, and Operations to embed pricing intelligence into every significant commercial decision. Their closest day-to-day partners will be the Pricing Product Manager and the Pricing Data Science Team. The role suits someone who is simultaneously a strategist, a financial modeller, and a cross-functional operator - as comfortable challenging a corridor pricing assumption at CCO level as they are building the scenario model that underpins it. Here’s what you’ll be doing as Pricing & Monetisation Strategy Lead Pricing Strategy & Architecture: * Own TransferGo's global and corridor pricing strategies ( fee structures, FX spread, promotional mechanics, and competitive positioning) ensuring alignment with growth and margin targets. * Develop long-term pricing roadmaps that anticipate shifts in customer behaviour, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements. * Translate high-level commercial goals into sequenced pricing initiatives deliverable in partnership with Product and Data Science. * Pressure-test and land the business case for pricing and monetisation changes at CCO and Executive Team level, with the confidence to defend recommendations under scrutiny. * Continuously evaluate whether TransferGo's commercial architecture is fit for purpose and proactively propose structural changes (new fee mechanics, promotional frameworks, LTV-optimising approaches) ahead of competitive necessity. Revenue Modelling & Commercial Analytics: * Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to simulate revenue, margin, and take rate impact of proposed pricing changes across corridors, segments, and time horizons - operating independently, without reliance on Finance or Data teams. * Partner day-to-day with the Pricing Data Science Team - aligning on analytical priorities, translating data outputs into commercial insight, and directing the analytical infrastructure at the right pricing questions. * Establish and own a continuous take rate monitoring framework, with clear escalation processes and rapid commercial response capability when performance deviates from plan. * Embed cohort-level analysis and LTV modelling as a core operating rhythm, ensuring pricing decisions are evaluated on long-run customer value as well as immediate margin impact. Pricing Experimentation & Optimisation: * Design and lead a structured programme of pricing experiments (hypotheses, test designs, success metrics, and kill criteria) in partnership with the Pricing PM and Data Science Team. * Synthesise experiment results into clear, actionable recommendations; every test should generate a documented insight that informs future strategy. * Develop monitoring guardrails and early-warning indicators to identify margin erosion risks and own the response process when competitive or cost dynamics shift. * Evaluate, design, and refine promotional and incentive structures (introductory offers, loyalty mechanics, referral pricing) ensuring they accelerate conversion without creating structural floor problems or long-term margin erosion. Cross-Functional Commercial Leadership: * Act as TransferGo's senior pricing SME - partnering with Product, Finance, Growth/Marketing, and Operations to ensure pricing considerations are embedded in key commercial decisions. * Serve as the primary advisor to the CCO and senior leadership on all pricing and monetisation matters, providing recommendations with analytical rigour and executive-level clarity. * Collaborate day-to-day with the Pricing PM to ensure changes are operationally viable - from pricing engine capabilities, technical billing and product configuration through to financial reporting and customer communication. * Partner with Growth and Marketing to align promotional pricing with acquisition, retention, and lifecycle objectives across corridors and customer segments. Competitive Intelligence & Market Positioning: * Build and maintain a live, structured view of the competitive pricing landscape across TransferGo's key corridors and markets - a continuously refreshed intelligence base, not a periodic report. * Translate competitor intelligence into strategic pricing responses, ensuring TransferGo's value proposition remains compelling, differentiated, and defensible. * Monitor fee, FX spread, and regulatory trends across the remittance industry to inform pricing guardrails and ensure strategy is never caught off-guard by a shift that was visible in advance. Here’s what we’d love from our new Pricing & Monetisation Strategy Lead role: * 7+ years of experience in pricing, monetisation strategy, or commercial finance, with a demonstrable track record of delivering large-scale pricing strategies with measurable revenue and margin outcomes. Fintech, payments, remittance, or financial services experience strongly preferred. * Proven ability to build and interrogate complex financial scenario models independently, without support from Finance or Data teams. This is a hard requirement. * Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy in a matrix organisation and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite, through data-driven reasoning and well-constructed commercial arguments. * Track record of working effectively across Product, Engineering, Finance, Growth, and Marketing - driving decisions in a cross-functional environment without formal authority. * Experience working closely with Product and Engineering to embed pricing logic into product infrastructure; understands pricing as a product feature and can engage credibly on billing, metering, and fee configuration. * Hands-on experience with pricing experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis, funnel diagnostics) and a demonstrated ability to run a structured programme with analytical rigour. * Strong analytical skills; comfortable with SQL or equivalent. Able to draw cohesive commercial strategy from fragmented data and translate complex analysis into clear executive narratives. And if you can also do this stuff, even better: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a quantitative field. MBA or equivalent is a plus. WHAT WE OFFER: * Competitive Salary: Starting from €5,050 - €7,570 (gross) per month, depending on experience. Salary is just one part of the conversation – if you’re excited about the role but the range feels slightly off, don’t hesitate to apply. We’re open to discussing based on your experience and potential. * Comprehensive Benefits: Including a generous holiday allowance, competitive healthcare insurance, and a wellbeing package from day one. * Annual Development Budget: €1,000 to invest in your personal and professional growth. * Hybrid Working Environment: Flexibility to work from home and in the office, with most team members in the office two days a week. * Pet-Friendly Office: If you’re near one of our offices, bring your furry friend along! * Inclusive Culture: Regular in-person events, fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration. At TransferGo, we are committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees. We will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, marriage, civil partnership or any other protected category. We are proud of our diverse and inclusive culture and we strongly encourage suitably qualified applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply and join TransferGo. We look forward to meeting you! Please note that all data collected will be handled in accordance with our candidates privacy policy (https://www.transfergo.com/privacy-policy/overview) and will only be used for the purpose of evaluating your candidacy. The data will be securely stored and deleted according to retention timeframe set in the candidates privacy policy.
