Description Position at Pilgrim's Pay: $15.91/hour during training 1st Shift Hours 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. *To maintain an

immaculate work area meeting FDA and ADEM compliance while practicing good housekeeping habits. *Assemble and inspect all cleaning

tools and equipment. Replace anything substandard. Incudes high pressure water and air hoses, various squeegees and brushes,

heavy duty mop handle and mop heads, roll around mop bucket and ringer, 36" dust mop, various shovels, roll around barrel and

trash cans and assorted heavy duty trash bags. *Insure all equipment is in proper place and easy to reach as needed. *Check scales

and grounds first. *Clean off the scales using high pressure air hoses, brushes, etc *Clean out the drug room, and ingredient

storage rooms. Contact Quality Assurance to dispose of spillage properly. *Clean the warehouse floors removing empty pallets,

cleaning up spills, and restacking items to eliminate clutter. *Clean the bendix level. *Clean around truck receiving by removing

all trash, cleaning up spills, laying down absorbent litter to pick up oil, and other oil based fluids. *Clean and maintain the

hammer mill. *Be prepared to clean any spill that is reported. This involves having the proper cleaning equipment ready at all

times. Nothing should be washed off and allowed to simply drain. Most every spill must be contained, mopped or swept up, and

disposed of in the proper containers. *Clean the grounds and around the equipment related to barge receiving. This includes the

marine leg, the auger system, the surrounding grounds. *Operate the "bobcat"(a loading vehicle) when needed. *Clean up the

basement. *Take the empty trash bags out of the ingredient and drug rooms. *Tour the grounds and the truck scale area to insure

everything is in order. *Check the ingredient room, drug room, and the mixing room to insure everything is stocked and well kept.

Walk through the office area to make sure everything is fine. *Clean the break area. *Store all the cleaning equipment in their

proper place. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Repetitive motion includes back shoulder, arm, wrist, hand, and finger movement. Employee

must be able to lift 100 lbs. from floor level to full extension of the arm and forearm above the head 30 times in a three-hour

period. Must be able to walk distances exceeding 100 feet one way 30 times in a three hour period and covering an area that

exceeds S acres. Must be able to ascend and descend a 30-tread staircase 30 times in a three-hour period. Must be able to work in

confined or restricted work areas 3 hours in duration. Must be able to work in wet to arid working conditions with temperature

ranges 0 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit for a ten-hour period of time. Must be able to work at heights exceeding 200 feet with little or

Description Position at Pilgrim's Tuscumbia Feed Mill Maintenance The team member is given an area of responsibility in which they must show evidence of mechanical attitude and display improvement in skill and knowledge in two or more areas. Know and utilize all safety procedures. Good housekeeping habits. Know how to hook up single and three phase motors using the connection data on the motor. Be able to identify a “burned up” motor. Know how to run single phase circuits (household wiring). Know how to check fuses and reset and/or replace thermal heater units. Know how to use an amp probe, volt meter, and continuity tester. Know usage of and replacement procedures for magnetic starters, safety switches, and H.O.A. (hand off automatic) Switches. Know lock out procedures. Expectations: Plumbing Know the different sizes and compositions of piping and their applications. Know the common types of fittings for pipe and tube (per #1). Know how to install pipes with minimum flow restrictions and no leaks. Know how to read the different gages and meters used in the mill. Learn what pumps are and what they do (i.e. positive displacement and centrifugal). Expectations: Mechanical Know size and types of conveyor, power transmission chains, and how to separate and replace to repair. Know size and types of belts, power transmission chains, and how to replace or repair. This includes roll pulleys and tensioners. Learn general lubrication requirements. Expectations: Welding and Cutting Know and utilize all safety procedures. This includes safeguards against property loss. Good housekeeping habits. Be able to make serviceable welds on steel and aluminum using electric welder. Use suitable electrode, flux, preparatory and procedure. Know proper welding applications in the mill. Know how to use a cutting torch. Know how to soft solder. Be able to identify hot-rolled, cold-rolled, stainless or coated steel. Expectations: Shop Tools Know how to use drill press, fixed and portable grinders, arbor and hydraulic presses, bending brakes and tools, vises, etc. Know how to maintain own tools, and keep work area clean. Know personnel protective equipment requirements. Use and follow a blueprint or similar drawing after explanation or advance review. Expectations: Educational Reference the startup procedures and the preventative maintenance procedures for the area. Read as much material currently available on the assigned area. Work with maintenance men who know the area, and have more experience with the equipment. Answer calls to the assigned area that Is the first priority, but working outside that area on other calls in not uncommon. Return production to optimal speed as soon as possible. Whenever possible, replace the defective part with a new one (rebuilt) and carry the rest to the maintenance room. In the room, begin repairs on the defective part. If repairs are successful, return the rebuild part or equipment to inventory until it is needed. Some parts, or equipment, may require being sent off for specialized repairs (such as rewinding motors). Some parts may be thrown away because either repairs will exceed cost of new, or the part cannot be brought back to dependability. Expectations: End of Day Get with the incoming maintenance personnel and communicate the day’s events. There may be some task they will be able to complete. In addition, it may be helpful to know what has happened in the day so they can keep an eye on it. Sweep and clean the maintenance shop. Clean off worktables of all debris. Return all unused parts to the proper place in the parts room. Make sure all paperwork generated during the day is filed. This includes all documentation taken on machinery performance, preventive maintenance forms, order forms, etc. If it is not to be filed, make sure the Maintenance Manager has it in the office. Clean off individual locker. Store everything away. Repetitive motion includes back, shoulders, arm, wrist, hand, and finger movement. Employee must be to lift at least 100 lbs. from the floor level to heights not less than full extension of the arm and forearm above the head not less than 30 times in a three hour period. Must be able to walk distances exceeding 100 feet one-way not less than 30 times in a three hour period, and covering an area that exceeds 5 acres. Must be able to ascend and descend staircases with at least 30 stair treads not less than 30 times in a 3 hour duration. Must be able to work in confined or restricted work areas not less than 3 hours in duration.
