About Modo Energy
The energy transition is the biggest infrastructure buildout in human history. Modo Energy is the data platform at the centre of
it.
We build the benchmarking, forecasting, and valuation tools that the world's most serious energy investors, developers, and
operators depend on to make decisions. If a battery gets financed, built, or traded anywhere in the world, there's a good chance
Modo data was in the room.
Founded in 2019, we're 80+ people across London, New York, Sydney, and Madrid; $30M Series B, AI-native, and moving fast.
This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally.
From the Founder
"I care deeply about talent. I will never compromise on the bar. Every bad hire costs us money, time, and reputation. I need a
recruiter who feels the same way — who can spot A-players instantly, say 'no' to mediocrity, and help us scale without lowering
our standards."
The Role
We're a small People team, and we're hiring a Recruiter to help us scale through the next phase. This is a full-cycle generalist
role: you'll own searches across both technical and commercial functions, from sourcing to close.
You'll report to and work directly with the Head of Operations, partnering with hiring managers across engineering, product, pre
and post-sales. This is a real seat at the table: you'll advise on what good looks like, push back when a role isn't ready, and
hold the bar.
What You'll Do
them
What You Bring
care too
Modo, and there’s a chance that this could grow into a People leadership role.

About Modo Energy The energy transition is the biggest infrastructure buildout in human history. Modo Energy is the data platform at the centre of it. Founded in 2019, we're 80+ people across London, New York, Sydney, and Madrid; $30M Series B, AI-native, and moving fast. This is a rare chance to join a category-defining company at the moment it's scaling globally. RECRUITING AT MODO ENERGY Modo Energy is the data and analytics platform for the battery energy storage industry. We help developers, investors, operators, and utilities understand and act on the battery storage markets that are reshaping how electricity systems work. We're growing fast, across every function, and the bar for who joins goes up every quarter, not down. Recruiting is one of the highest-leverage things happening at Modo right now, and the person in this seat will shape who this company becomes. THE ROLE We're hiring a Recruiter to own full-cycle hiring across multiple functions and geographies - commercial, analyst, and operational roles today, with the mix evolving as we scale. You'll work closely with hiring managers and leadership (including direct partnership with our CEO on senior searches). The best person for this role can map a market, build a real point of view on who's in the top decile of a given talent pool, and run a process disciplined enough to close them - while keeping pipeline hygiene, candidate experience, and hiring-manager communication tight throughout. WHAT YOU'LL DO Sourcing and market mapping * Partner closely with technical leadership to deeply understand hiring needs while providing strategic guidance on recruiting best practices * Build and nurture a strong pipeline of talent * Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to engage top-tier, passive candidates across various technical disciplines * Use AI as a core part of your daily workflow: for research, candidate identification, personalized outreach drafting, call summarization, and surfacing signal from messy data. This isn't optional or a novelty at Modo; it's how the role works * Stay on top of market trends, comp benchmarks, and where the talent pool is moving Full-cycle ownership * Own the entire recruiting lifecycle from intake through offer close, across our functions and geographies * Run intake meetings with hiring managers and interviewers to build a shared, precise picture of the role and evaluation criteria before sourcing starts * Ask first-principles and self-starter questions live in interviews - we're evaluating how people think, not just what they've done * Push back when a search is mis-scoped, surface comp reality early, and turn hiring-manager wishlists into a concrete profile within days * Close candidates who have competing offers - build conviction, sequence references well, and win on substance Process, tools, and experience * Maintain the ATS (GreenHouse) with real pipeline discipline, so reporting and funnel metrics are trustworthy * Run debriefs after each hire (and each miss) and feed learnings back into how we hire * Own creation of job descriptions and interview scorecards * Manage relationships with our external recruiting agency partners * Deliver a fair, transparent, and fast candidate experience - clear feedback, offers that move in days rather than weeks * Support employer brand work, campus/lateral recruiting events, and other ad-hoc talent projects * Contribute to comp benchmarking and broader improvements to how Modo evaluates talent WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR The Essentials * 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, somewhere high-growth or fast-paced where the bar was genuinely non-negotiable * A startup background - you know how to hire well without much infrastructure behind you * Comfort using AI in your day-to-day recruiting workflow already, or genuine eagerness to make it core to how you work * Demonstrated closing skill against competing offers * High-agency operating mode: you own outcomes, flag problems early, and don't wait to be told what's next * Excellent written communication - your outbound and candidate updates are part of the work product and should read that way * Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-autonomy, low-process environment across multiple time zones and countries * Based in NY and able to work hybrid, in-office Tuesday–Thursday Nice to Have * Experience recruiting commercial or GTM roles (AE, AM, CSM) at a high-growth SaaS, data, fintech, or energy company * Experience recruiting analyst or technical roles alongside commercial ones * Experience building or contributing to an AI-augmented sourcing or screening workflow * Familiarity with Greenhouse, plus LinkedIn Recruiter, Notion, and Slack * Experience hiring across multiple countries simultaneously WHAT COMES WITH THE ROLE The salary range for this role is $160-180k * A seat at the table on hiring decisions that genuinely shape the company - not a coordinator role * Full autonomy: we expect people to operate independently within a few months, not to be managed step by step * Direct, honest feedback culture - the best argument wins regardless of seniority * Compensation benchmarked to pay top of your personal market, reviewed twice a year * All employees receive share options * Hybrid working, in-office Tuesday-Thursday, across our London, New York, Madrid, and Sydney offices * A small, high-leverage team where your work is visible and matters immediately EQUAL OPPORTUNITY & LEGAL Modo Energy is an equal opportunity employer. We evaluate all candidates on merit and fit for the role, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law. If you need a reasonable accommodation at any stage of the interview process, let us know. What You Can Expect From Us At Modo Energy, we believe that exceptional work deserves exceptional reward. ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Technical Recruiter to join our truly global Talent team at ElevenLabs. This is not a conventional recruiter role — you’ll own complex, high-impact technical hiring end to end, from shaping the search strategy through to closing truly exceptional talent. You’ll partner deeply with engineering, research, and leadership teams to re-imagine what great technical hiring looks like at scale. You’ll be a key member of a small, high-powered team that’s redefining quality of hire and pushing the boundaries of how world-class technical talent is found, engaged, and hired. This role sits at the intersection of deep technical specialization, high velocity, and an uncompromising bar. If you’re energized by ownership, creative problem-solving, and building hiring systems that scale — this role will stretch and level up your career. WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE * Owning full-cycle recruiting for highly technical roles across product engineering, ML/AI, infrastructure, research, and beyond. * Partnering closely with hiring managers to deeply understand problems, calibrate on signals, and continuously raise the hiring bar. * Designing and executing thoughtful search strategies — from market mapping and outreach to interview design and closing. * Managing multiple complex searches simultaneously without sacrificing candidate experience or quality. * Acting as a trusted advisor to candidates, guiding them through a rigorous process with clarity, empathy, and conviction. * Serving as an ambassador for ElevenLabs — every interaction reflects our values and sets the tone for the candidate experience. * Continuously improving how we hire by iterating on processes, tooling, and data-driven insights. REQUIREMENTS * Proven experience hiring top-tier engineering and technical talent in competitive markets (we’d love to see ~3+ years, but impact matters more than years). * Experience running full-cycle technical recruiting, including sourcing strategy, stakeholder management, and closing. * Strong ability to manage high-complexity searches with many moving parts — you stay structured, adaptable, and focused. * Skilled at translating technical and business needs into clear hiring strategies and compelling candidate narratives. * Excellent written and verbal communication — you build trust with both deeply technical candidates and senior stakeholders. * Comfortable operating in fast-paced, remote-first environments and collaborating across global time zones. * Curious, creative, and genuinely interested in engineering, AI, and how exceptional teams are built. Bonus: * Experience hiring for research, infrastructure, systems, or other deeply technical roles. * Experience recruiting globally across multiple regions. * Background in high-growth startups or similarly fast-moving environments. * A builder’s mindset: you experiment, learn quickly, spot patterns, and continuously refine recruiting playbooks and processes. LOCATION This role is remote and can be executed globally. If you prefer, you can work from our offices in Bangalore, Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Warsaw. #LI-remote
ABOUT APRON Apron is building something game-changing. Founded in 2021, Apron set out to help SMBs win. Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, yet the systems they rely on — particularly around payments — are slow, manual and not built for them. The biggest threat to a small business is cash flow, often stemming from a gap between the demands payments put on owners and their ability to make those payments effectively. Apron changes that. We're closing the gap by digitising and simplifying the payments process: capturing invoices, issuing expense cards, paying and getting paid, all in one place. We've grown fast over the past few years, expanding our team to circa 100 people across the UK, Germany, Spain and beyond. We're backed by Index Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Zinal Growth and Tony Fadell, having raised $50m to date. The ambition from here isn't incremental. Apron is building a category-defining, global fintech business with a clear path to significant revenue scale and international expansion. Getting there takes more than a great product — it takes a world-class team, and that starts with how we hire. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a mid level Tech Recruiter to join our Talent team on a full-time basis and help power Apron's next stage of growth. Apron was named the #1 fastest growing fintech (Sifted 100) across the UK & Ireland in 2026, and as we scale further, we need a sharp, sourcing-led recruiter who can take real ownership of our hiring. This is a great role for someone who's already comfortable running full-cycle technical recruitment and wants more autonomy, more variety, and a seat closer to the business — without the need of managing a team. You'll work closely with our hiring managers across Engineering, Product and Data, owning searches end-to-end and helping shape how we find, engage and close great people in a competitive market. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Own full-cycle recruitment for a portfolio of technical and product roles — including Backend, Frontend, Mobile and ML Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers and Data Analysts. * Partner closely with hiring managers to understand team needs, define role briefs, and agree hiring criteria and process. * Proactively source and engage candidates through outbound channels — building strong pipelines, actively exploring new candidate sources. * Manage the candidate experience from first contact through offer, keeping communication sharp, timely and human. * Use hiring data (funnel conversion, time-to-hire, source effectiveness) to flag bottlenecks and suggest improvements to hiring managers and the wider Talent team. * Build and nurture a talent pool of strong candidates for future roles, keeping warm relationships going even when the timing isn't right. * Stay close to the market — salary benchmarks, competitor hiring activity, and candidate sentiment — and share insight with the team. * Support employer brand initiatives that help Apron stand out to engineering talent (content, events, careers page, job ads). WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR * Continous experience in a talent acquisition or recruitment role, with solid exposure to technical/engineering hiring (in-house or agency background both welcome). * Confidence running full-cycle recruitment independently, from brief to offer. * Hands-on sourcing skills — you know your way around LinkedIn Recruiter, online communities and crafting messages that actually get replies. * Experience recruiting within a startup, scaleup or fintech environment, ideally in London, where speed and adaptability are the norm. * A genuine interest in tech and product, and the ability to speak credibly with engineers about their work. * Comfortable using an ATS and interpreting hiring data to inform decisions. * Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple live roles and hiring managers at once. * A collaborative, low-ego approach — you're building your career in recruitment and want to learn from a small, experienced team while taking real ownership. Nice to have: experience hiring in a regulated or payments-adjacent business, or exposure to recruiting for AI/ML roles WHAT WE OFFER 💷 Competitive salary + meaningful stock options 📈 Pension plan with Nest 🏥 Health insurance (including optical and dental cover), life assurance 🚼 Enhanced parental leave 🥗 Weekly Deliveroo allowance 🌴 29 days holiday (on top of bank holidays) ☕ Flexible working hours 📍 Hybrid working — 3 days a week in our London (Liverpool Street) office 🚲 Cycle to Work scheme, Electric Vehicle scheme OUR HIRING PROCESS Straightforward, transparent, and run at your pace — with feedback within 24 hours at every stage. 1. Intro call with our Recruiter (30 min) 2. Task/case study — a real sourcing or hiring scenario 3. Interview with a future hiring manager (60 min) 4. Final interview with Leadership (45 min) 5. Offer 🔥
