The Site Coordinator is responsible for performing assigned Site Study tasks, working to facilitate the Principal Investigator
(PI) job, contributing to the quality of the study, providing appropriate support to reach the milestones, pro-actively recruiting
new patients and speeding up any data-entry process.

POSITION SUMMARY: The full-time Hybrid OTA Site Coordinator faculty member facilitates meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment. Faculty provide education through a hybrid delivery model that combines on-ground and online learning, enabling graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) marketplace. The Hybrid OTA Site Coordinator faculty member encourages a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, life-long learning and ethics, as well as personal and professional development. In addition to instructional duties, the faculty member serves as the Hybrid Site Coordinator for the Orlando instructional site. The Hybrid Site Coordinator is a full-time occupational therapy practitioner responsible for ensuring uniform implementation of the OTA Program and for maintaining ongoing communication with the Program Director regarding academic quality, student success, and program integrity at the Orlando instructional site. The Hybrid Site Coordinator will receive a 25% reduction in classroom instruction duties to ensure adequate time allocation for the completion of site coordination responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Instructional Duties: 1. Performs instructional duties as assigned and/or as outlined in the Academic Faculty job description and in accordance with the provisions of the Faculty Supplement to the South University Employee Handbook. 2. Provides competency-based education which aligns with the South University model of curricula and supports hybrid delivery methods. 3. Designs and delivers class instruction that incorporates student learning outcomes and accreditation standards, creating activities that promote critical thinking across online and on-ground environments. 4. Promotes student success by demonstrating flexibility, passion for teaching, and effective facilitation of student engagement. 5. Evaluates student performance against course syllabi and rubrics; provides advising to students in the Pre-Professional and Professional Hybrid Curricula. 6. Maintains accurate records and reports, enforces policies, and contributes to campus and hybrid program culture through meetings, events, and committees. Site Coordination-Orlando Instructional Site 1. Serves as the designated full-time faculty Hybrid Site Coordinator at the Orlando instructional site, as required by accreditation standards. 2. Ensures uniform implementation of the Hybrid OTA curriculum, policies, and procedures between the Tampa primary campus and Orlando instructional site. 3. Maintains ongoing communication with the Program Director regarding hybrid instructional quality, student outcomes, and resource needs at Orlando. 4. Provides faculty leadership, serving as the primary faculty contact at the Orlando site. 5. Collaborates with Tampa-based faculty and staff to ensure consistency in hybrid teaching, lab instruction, and student assessment. 6. Supports program assessment, accreditation activities, and data collection at the Orlando site. Lab and Faculty Oversight: 1. Oversees a teaching/lab assistant, as appropriate to course(s), at the Orlando instructional location; orients assistants to roles, responsibilities, safety procedures, and course/lab concepts. Other Responsibilities 1. Maintains standards of the profession, including rules and regulations of licensing and certification. 2. Pursues professional development, scholarly activity, and service consistent with faculty expectations. 3. Performs other duties as determined by the Program Director and/or the Campus Dean of Academic Affairs and Operations. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * For OTRs: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master's degree or doctoral degree in another field awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, required; Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with teaching experience or a Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, preferred. * For COTAs: Minimum of Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Bachelor’s degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE recognized institutional accrediting agency, required. * Zero to two years of experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution. Experience with hybrid course instruction and delivery is preferred. * Minimum of two years of experience as an occupational therapist or certified occupational therapy assistant, required. * Membership in a professional association, preferably linked to area of instruction, preferred. * Must be eligible for licensure, currently licensed or otherwise credentialed according to regulations in the state or jurisdiction in which the program is located. * Current knowledge in area of practice, ethical standards and standards of practice, required. * Eligible for a driver’s license or currently holds a valid driver’s license in the state in which the program is located, required. * Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build successful relationships with diverse stakeholders. * Demonstrates outstanding conflict resolution skills. * Demonstrates time management and detail-oriented skills. * Demonstrates excellence in organization and attention to detail. * Demonstrates effective computer skills (e.g., software, analytical, report writing). * Demonstrates clinical competency and compliance with professional standards of practice. * Able to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines. * Able to develop a professional rapport with diverse stakeholders. * Able to develop and complete projects without continuous direct supervision. * Able to learn from students' participation, demonstrates fair and consistent behavior in all matters, and shows compassion without being ineffectual. * Able to perform responsibilities within legal and ethical boundaries. * Able to lift 20 pounds when performing job responsibilities. * Able to stand for extended periods of time (e.g., one hour or more) when teaching, facilitating labs or on fieldtrips. * Able to demonstrate techniques specific to the practice of occupational therapy. * Able to travel between the Tampa primary campus and the Orlando instructional site to fulfill instructional responsibilities. The opportunity HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems. For our HVDC upgrade projects we are looking for a person that will plan and coordinate our site activities in HVDC Service. This is a role with many interfaces and interesting work tasks, with the possibility to take on shorter site assignments and extended responsibilities within site management, construction, and commissioning activities. How you’ll make an impact • Site coordination involves detailed planning of the schedule for site operations – installation and commissioning – and preparation of project-specific QA documents (quality assurance). • Support site execution and, when required, take on coordination responsibilities aligned with Site Manager tasks during shorter assignments or critical project phases. • Act as an interface between site, project management, customers, and the home organization to ensure smooth communication and alignment. • Staffing the HVDC site, monitoring required training (e.g. electrical safety), and handling travel preparations as well as providing information to staff before travelling to site. • Coordinate subcontractor activities and support follow-up of their performance and compliance with scope, quality, and HSE requirements. • Ordering tools and instruments needed during the site activities and ensuring readiness for execution. • HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) site preparations and supporting a culture of safe execution in line with company, customer, and local requirements. • Contribute to site execution planning, risk identification, and mitigation activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery. • Ensure structured documentation handling, including use of latest revisions, and support as-built documentation processes. • Creating documentation for contractor procurement and taking an active part in the procurement process. • Support financial follow-up of the field operation activities and contribute to cost awareness. • Tendering work to develop cost calculations for work to be carried out on site and in future projects. • Support commissioning coordination and readiness, including alignment of installation, testing, and handover activities. • Contribute to continuous improvement, lessons learned, and sharing of best practices across projects. • The role is based at the Project Support home office in Ludvika, Sweden, and acts as the site’s contact point towards the home organization. Your Background • You have proven experience of working in a project context in HVDC/electric power transmission projects. Experience from site activities such as installation, commissioning, or coordination is a strong merit. • Understanding of site execution, subcontractor coordination, or construction/commissioning processes is considered an advantage. • The work requires computer skills, including MS Office package (Word and Excel). • As a person, you are structured, persistent, calm, and able to build and maintain good relationships with multiple stakeholders. • You are a proactive team player with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to take initiative. • You enjoy working in an international environment and collaborating across functions. • The work involves global contacts, which requires that you master English, both orally and in writing.
