We are looking for a Software Product Owner to own the direction, quality, prioritisation, and execution of our software tooling ecosystem, with a primary focus on SDKs, evaluation kits (EVKs), developer tools, and supporting software applications. This role sits at the intersection of customers, Applications, Product Management, and Software Engineering. You will act as the voice of the user, ensuring our software tools solve real customer problems while enabling engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases efficiently. You will be responsible for translating customer feedback, business priorities, and technical requirements into a clear product roadmap and well-prioritised backlog. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a software engineering background who has moved into product ownership, technical project management, or software delivery leadership. WE WILL TRUST YOU WITH: PRODUCT OWNERSHIP * Own the roadmap, backlog, and prioritisation of SDK and software tooling initiatives * Define the direction of developer-facing tools & SDKs based on customer needs and business objectives * Balance new feature development, bug fixing, technical debt, and release commitments * Drive alignment between Applications, Product, Management, and Software Engineering teams * Ensure stakeholders have clear visibility of priorities, capacity, risks, and progress CUSTOMER & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT * Act as the voice of the customer within the development organisation * Gather, analyse, and prioritise feedback from customers, FAEs, and internal users * Translate customer requirements into actionable development plans * Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery * Support customer discussions when technical product expertise is required SOFTWARE DELIVERY & RELEASE MANAGEMENT * Coordinate software releases across multiple development teams * Oversee SDK deployment, versioning, distribution, and documentation processes * Monitor release quality, regression issues, and delivery performance * Drive continuous improvements in software development and release processes PROCESS & PERFORMANCE * Track and improve key operational metrics, including: * Open ticket volume * Resolution times * Release frequency * Regression rates * Development throughput * Identify bottlenecks and unblock teams where necessary * Create structure and clarity in ambiguous environments WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: * Experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Technical Project Manager, Software Project Manager, or similar role * Ability to read and understand C/C++ and Python code * Experience working closely with software engineering teams * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills * Experience gathering and prioritising customer requirements * Proven ability to make prioritisation decisions under resource constraints * Experience working with Jira and Confluence * Experience working with Git * Strong ownership mindset and attention to quality * Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving and ambiguous environments NICE-TO-HAVES: * Experience within semiconductor, embedded systems, high-tech, or design-house environments * Software development background with exposure to: * SDKs * Developer tools * Toolchains * Software applications * Embedded or low-level software environments * Experience with SDK release management * Experience with package distribution platforms such as PyPI * Experience managing software documentation and developer experience improvements * Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies WHY JOIN INNATERA? Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you’ll act as a trusted partner to leaders while driving strategic People & Culture initiatives that support Innatera’s business objectives. KEY PILLARS OF OWNERSHIP: STRATEGIC PEOPLE INITIATIVES * Develop a deep understanding of the business and translate organisational needs into effective people solutions. * Own and continuously evolve key strategic people initiatives aligned with business objectives, including performance & development management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, and organisational design. * Manage the scope, stakeholders, budget, and external partners related to assigned initiatives, ensuring effective delivery and sustainable business impact. * Use people data, feedback, and business insights to assess what is working, identify risks and opportunities, and drive informed decision-making. LEADERSHIP BUSINESS PARTNERING * Act as a trusted strategic partner to team leads, helping them build strong, engaged, and high-performing teams. * Provide ongoing guidance on leadership, team dynamics, and culture-related topics through coaching, training, and individual support. * Own and coordinate key manager lifecycle moments, including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, team transitions, performance conversations, and organisational changes. * Help identify capability gaps, leadership challenges, and organisational risks, and work with the Head of People & Culture to address them proactively. LEGAL COMPLIANCE AND CULTURE * Ensure compliance with Dutch labour law and internal policies, working closely with legal advisors where needed. * Review, create, and maintain fair, business-aligned people policies that reduce risk and support both employees and the organisation. * Oversee sensitive individual cases, including illness, underperformance, conflict, terminations, and other complex employee relations topics. * Lead and support the coordination and development of Innatera’s Works Council in collaboration with the People Operations team. * Support a culture of well-being, psychological safety, inclusion, accountability, continuous learning, and ownership. * Participate in other People & Culture projects and activities as necessary. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: * Solid experience in a senior HR / People role, such as HR Business Partner, People Business Partner, People & Culture Manager, or similar, with strong hands-on involvement in leadership partnering and employee relations. * Experience working in a fast-growing, international, preferably technology-driven environment where you have supported leaders through growth, change, and evolving people processes. * Strong coaching and advisory skills. * Proven experience supporting managers and employees through complex people topics, including performance, development, conflict, feedback, illness, and terminations. * Experience running or improving core people processes, such as performance reviews, development cycles, goal setting, feedback, calibration, or manager enablement. * Ability to bring structure to ambiguity: taking a broad people topic, shaping a practical approach, aligning stakeholders, and helping move it into execution. * Good understanding of Dutch employment law and internal policy frameworks, with the judgement to know when to involve legal or escalate sensitive cases. * A hands-on, collaborative mindset combined with structured thinking — comfortable moving between strategic topics and operational execution. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain people topics clearly, pragmatically, and with good judgement. * You embody Innatera’s core values: We are innovators, we care for our people, we are one, we are competitive, we build value for our customers, and we have a growth mindset. NICE-TO-HAVES: * A MSs degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business Administration, Management, Organisational Psychology, or a related field. * Experience with organisational development topics, such as change management, leadership development, team effectiveness, organisational design, or culture shaping. * Experience supporting or developing Works Councils. * Experience with international labour regulations and supporting distributed or hybrid teams across multiple countries. * Experience in semiconductor, neuromorphic computing, deep-tech, hardware, embedded systems, edge AI, or another complex technical environment. * Experience with HR systems, people analytics, and tooling, with the ability to use data to identify risks, support decisions, and improve people processes.
