About The Company GROPYUS is a technology-based construction company focused on building multi-story residential buildings. Thanks to its prefabricated building system with various design options, industrial offsite construction, and fully digitalized processes, the company manufactures aspirational, sustainable, and affordable homes using timber construction methods. GROPYUS is using scalable construction and manufacturing solutions to tap into a future market, boost Europe's strength in innovation, while also playing a substantial role in improving sustainability. ABOUT THE ROLE: You will join the new Tech Infrastructure team at GROPYUS - the foundation that enables all our technical teams to deliver, from cloud environments to production facilities to construction sites. As Senior Network Engineer, you'll own our network infrastructure across multiple locations: planning, deploying, and operating everything from firewalls and VPNs to Wifi and switches. You'll work with physical hardware at our sites while also integrating with cloud environments, ensuring reliable connectivity for all GROPYUS teams. This is a role for someone who enjoys both the strategic side of network architecture and the hands-on work of getting hardware installed and running. You'll have real impact on how we connect our locations and enable secure, reliable access to all our services. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: * Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure across all GROPYUS sites — including firewalls, VPN, Wi-Fi, and switching * Planning and executing physical network deployments: site surveys, rack planning, cabling, and hardware installation * Ensuring network security, segmentation, and access control across corporate and operational technology environments * Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues * Collaborating with the Tech Infrastructure team on standardized, automated approaches to network management * Documenting network architecture and maintaining configuration standards WHAT YOU BRING: * You're an experienced network engineer with a strong background in enterprise network infrastructure * You have hands-on experience with network hardware — you're comfortable planning rack layouts, running cables, and deploying equipment at physical sites * You've worked with firewalls, VPN solutions, enterprise Wi-Fi, and managed switches (experience with Palo Alto, Meraki, or Unifi is a plus) * You understand network security principles: segmentation, access control, and secure remote access * You're familiar with network monitoring tools and enjoy digging into performance issues * You bring a service-oriented mindset: you think about reliability and making network infrastructure easy for others to use * You're comfortable with automation and scripting to reduce manual configuration work * You're based in Germany and open to occasional travel to our sites for deployments and support What We Offer * An unlimited contract with 30 vacation days. * Flexible, hybrid work: You can work from home or come into the office on the schedule that works best for you. Feel like traveling and working from another location? No problem. Tune into meetings and work from abroad for up to 40 days per year. In addition, flex hours allow you to prioritize important moments in your day. * Attractive perks and benefits: We offer a company pension scheme, language courses (English/German), and employee discounts with selected sustainable brands. Furthermore, our external partners in mental health support you in strengthening your mental health through anonymous private/group sessions. * Virtual Shares Program: Participate in the success of GROPYUS through our Virtual Share Program. * Ownership: You can truly make your mark with your work and contributions – on all our organizational levels. Find your solutions, drive and test them. * The chance to be part of something big: Our mission is to rethink an entire industry. Join us in reinventing construction and fostering sustainable, affordable living. * A diverse and enriching work environment: Become a valued member of a wonderfully diverse team of individuals from over 50 countries.
