As a Product Design Manager on the Dashboard team, you will manage a multidisciplinary team of product designers and a researcher,
leading design efforts across multiple product areas at Plaid. As a member of each area’s cross-functional leadership team, you
will partner closely with product and engineering to shape direction and outcomes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include
coaching individual contributors, driving high-quality design execution, and collaborating with PM leads to develop product
strategy. Alongside owning near-term delivery, you and your team will also define and advance the long-term vision for how Plaid’s
products evolve.
On the Dashboard team, we focus on shipping experiences and elevating the UX quality of Plaid’s Dashboard— a key surface area for
customers and data partners. The Dashboard provides a variety of features and tools for launching with Plaid, integration
monitoring, and account management and is the home of emerging insights products for payments and risk assessment.

Description of the team * The Dashboard Foundations team is the product platform team that stewards the Plaid Dashboard (dashboard.plaid.com). As both the portal for applying for production access and also the host for many products, the Dashboard is a critical touchpoint for our customers. * Our mission is to build the platform of every product engineer’s dreams, with rich tooling, abstractions, and resources available to support every phase of the software development lifecycle so that developing a high quality, secure product is fast and easy. * Our customers are over a dozen teams building in the Dashboard, representing products in areas such as Fraud, Credit, Signal, Account Verification, Transfer products, and more. * We are a full stack team made up of former product engineers, drawing upon our experience to set our north star vision. We have in-person members in New York and San Francisco as well as some members distributed in various locations across the United States. Responsibilities * You will lead a team of 8 engineers, ranging from Junior to Staff, developing them through clear goal setting, coaching, and feedback. * You’ll define and drive the long-term strategy for this foundational area, in close partnership with technical and product leaders across Plaid. * You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify high-leverage opportunities, shape the roadmap, and dive deep into technical design and execution details to ensure consistent delivery of high-impact business outcomes. * You’ll uphold a high bar for technical quality and delivery velocity, leading by example. Qualifications * 8+ years of industry experience, that includes time as a Staff-level engineer before transitioning into management. * 1+ years of engineering management experience * Deep experience designing scalable, reliable architectures that support real-world products at scale. * Track record of building and growing high performing engineering teams (either as an engineer or a manager). This includes Link, Plaid’s flagship product, which has been used by over half of all US adults to share their information safely and securely with financial applications. As part of Plaid’s first Consumer team, you will lead product development and execution within a startup-like environment at Plaid. The Technical Account Management function at Plaid is a team of individuals passionate about helping customers connect their technical goals and challenges with Plaid solutions. We play a crucial role in a customer's success by providing proactive strategic and technical guidance, which enables growth, expansion, and deeper customer relationships. Our goal is to ensure every customer becomes a lifelong Plaid champion and advocate. This is a strategic, high-impact technical leadership position. You’ll own the long-term technical success of some of the most innovative FinTech companies in the world, influencing how millions of users experience financial connectivity. You will be a product expert in Plaid's offerings, owning many customer relationships simultaneously and stay up to date on Plaid's technological improvements and new product offerings. You’ll be the technical voice and advocate for your customers internally, helping to shape Plaid’s product direction based on real-world feedback and impact. You will work in partnership with Account Manager(s) and several other cross-functional teams to be the primary driver of the design and execution of technical strategies that help our customers achieve their goals. Responsibilities: * Work with Plaid’s most tech-savvy customers in the FinTech segment and collaborate as a technical expert on leveraging Plaid to accomplish their business + technical goals and objectives * Own the post-sales technical strategy and alignment with customers, ensuring our mutual roadmaps are understood and communicated * Proactively identify opportunities to optimize customer integrations and drive adoption of Plaid’s newest technical features and requirements, aligning each to measurable customer outcomes (e.g., increased conversion, error reduction, expanded coverage). * Establish and own deep relationships with every level of technical stakeholder from Engineers to CPOs / CTOs, ensuring Plaid remains top-of-mind as a trusted partner * Be a champion for our customers and work with our internal Plaid teams to translate customer feedback into product insights; partner with key customer stakeholders to ensure alignment between their business and product priorities and Plaid’s * Serve as the escalation point for technical incidents and / or issues that have surfaced beyond the normal Plaid support channels. * Track customer integration health and feature adoption metrics, surfacing insights to improve product performance and shape future roadmap discussions * Collaborate with Account Managers to define, track, and deliver quarterly technical account goals that directly grow and expand product adoption and customer value Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in a client-facing and technology-focused role where business experience and technical acumen was combined. * Experience managing customer relationships independently and building / executing technical strategies to make customers successful with new technologies. * Demonstrated ability to tie technical solutions to business objectives, KPIs, and revenue outcomes * Excellent project management and communication skills with a strong ability to provide technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences, simplifying complexities in a clear and concise manner * Have a deep understanding of APIs, databases, system infrastructures, and architecture * Experience with tools like Postman, SQL, and monitoring/logging dashboards a plus * Self-starter who takes initiative and possesses strong troubleshooting skills to guide customers through complex or escalated issues * Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with different teams, levels of seniority, and influence structure / process to ensure everyone can meet their goals and timelines.
