We’re looking for a Design Director to join our Singapore studio, someone with the ambition, experience and creative conviction to
shape category-defining brands and lead teams to deliver exceptional work across the region and beyond.
This is a senior creative leadership role for someone who combines strategic thinking with outstanding creative judgement and
craft. You’ll lead projects from insight through to execution, guiding teams to develop distinctive brand worlds, packaging
systems and communication ideas that are both commercially effective and creatively ambitious. While the role spans broader brand
and identity work, a significant focus will be on healthcare and pharmaceutical packaging, requiring deep experience navigating
complex product architectures, regulatory realities and highly considered consumer experiences.
You’ll work closely with Creative Directors, strategists, and client leadership teams to define strong creative directions and
ensure ideas are delivered with clarity, consistency, and impact across every touchpoint. You’ll help shape the creative culture
of the Singapore studio, raising the standard of thinking and execution while creating an environment where designers can grow,
contribute and do the best work of their careers.
We’re looking for someone who understands that great design creates confidence and emotional connection, particularly in
categories where clarity and credibility matter most. Someone who can balance strategic rigour with creative imagination, bringing
together packaging, identity, verbal expression, digital and experience to build brands that people believe in.
You’ll lead client relationships at a senior level, presenting work with authority and clarity while building confidence through
thoughtful rationale and creative vision. You’ll mentor and inspire designers across multiple levels, helping teams navigate
complexity while maintaining a strong point of view and commitment to craft. Above all, you’ll help create work that delivers
meaningful impact for clients, consumers and culture.
You are an experienced design leader with exceptional conceptual ability, strong creative instincts and a portfolio that
demonstrates both strategic depth and world-class execution. You have significant experience in packaging design, particularly
within healthcare, wellness or pharmaceutical categories, and understand how to create brands that feel human, emotionally
resonant and commercially effective within regulated environments.
You know how to lead creative teams through ambiguity, helping shape ideas from early thinking through to delivery without losing
clarity or ambition along the way. You’re comfortable balancing hands-on creative involvement with broader leadership
responsibilities, and you know when to guide, challenge or empower the people around you.
You’re an articulate and persuasive presenter who can build trusted client relationships and lead conversations with confidence.
You ask thoughtful questions, push briefs beyond the expected and champion ideas with conviction while remaining collaborative and
open-minded. You lead by example, elevate those around you, and bring generosity, curiosity, and positive energy into the studio.
International experience across global brands, healthcare, FMCG or culturally relevant organisations is highly valued, as is an
understanding of how brands need to evolve within contemporary Asian and global markets.

Brands that last. The Role Bold's Stockholm studio is currently looking for a new Design Director to join the team. This is a senior creative leadership position. You'll take ownership of projects from first brief to final delivery. Setting direction, maintaining standards, guiding teams, and earning the trust of clients over the course of an engagement. You'll be the person in the room who can articulate why something works and what it still needs. But you'll also still be making things. The best design directors we know haven't stopped designing. They've just gotten better at knowing when to get out of the way and when to step in. Expect to be working across brand strategy, brand identity, design systems, and brand activations. For clients that range from established names looking to transform, to ambitious new ones looking to announce themselves. Experience from gaming, entertainment, or other experience-driven industries is a bonus. Qualities Creative leadership. You've led projects and people ideally for 10 or more years, and you know the difference between managing and inspiring. You give feedback that moves work forward. You create conditions where designers can do their best work. A strong point of view. You have opinions about what makes a brand great. You can articulate them clearly, defend them confidently, and update them when you're wrong. Strategic depth. You understand why brand matters, commercially and culturally, and you can connect that understanding to every decision in the work. You're as comfortable thinking about a brand's positioning as you are about its typeface. Craft and rigour. You have high standards and you set them for the team around you. Details matter to you. Systems matter to you. Work that lasts matters to you. Client presence. You can lead a room. You build trust through clarity and conviction, not by telling clients what they want to hear, but by helping them understand what their brand actually needs.
