In this role, you will combine technical expertise, customer collaboration, and research-driven development to support a new and growing business area. You will contribute to solutions that reduce environmental impact in the construction and infrastructure sector. Your opportunity As a Business Development Specialist within cement binders and concrete applications, you will play a key role in advancing the SCMentum business. You will work at the intersection of material science, construction technology, and business development, contributing to the development, application, and market adoption of new solutions. The role involves close collaboration with customers, research partners, and internal stakeholders. You will drive application testing, support product development, and contribute to standardization efforts. Your work will help translate technical innovation into practical and scalable solutions for the construction industry, while being supported by experienced colleagues across functions. Who you will work with You will be part of the Business Development team within Boliden. The team consists of specialists in materials, research, and business development, working together to advance the SCMentum concept. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in production, sales, and management, as well as external stakeholders such as customers, research institutes, and industry organizations. What you will do Drive and ensure the quality of application testing with customers Identify knowledge gaps and initiate research and development activities Collaborate with customers and partners within construction and infrastructure Contribute to national and European standardization efforts Support development and optimization of product properties Communicate the value and application of cementitious materials to different stakeholders Monitor industry trends, competing technologies, and innovations

We are looking for someone who has: An academic degree in a relevant field (e.g., materials science, chemistry, civil engineering) Experience from the cement or concrete industry Knowledge of applications within construction and infrastructure Experience working with technical solutions in collaboration with customers or partners Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders Ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken A valid B driver’s license
Meriting qualifications It is considered an advantage if you have: A PhD in a relevant field Experience from research and development or product development Experience with standardization processes An established network within the cement or concrete industry Experience working in a matrix organization Ability to communicate effectively in Swedish
