Data is at the heart of everything we do at Rovio. It enables us to continually improve our games and provide incredible experiences for the millions of users who play our games every day. All of this data is only valuable if it can be used to guide our day to day operations and the mission of the Data and Analytics craft is to turn that raw data into actionable insights.
We are now looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our flagship Angry Birds 2 game in the Stockholm studio. Coming into this role, you will build an understanding of the game and different business levers and use that knowledge to build new game features, optimising existing ones, structure vague problem statements in collaboration with key stakeholders. You will be working as a part of a live ops pod, supporting it as a dedicated team member.
The team is located in our studio in the centre of Stockholm and works in a hybrid mode (3 days per week onsite). Currently not based in Sweden? No problem at all, we will help you with the relocation and work permit if needed!

Stockholm studio is home to Rovio’s largest title Angry Birds 2 and we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the team here and work together with our Performance marketing team to help us shape our user acquisition strategy and bring new players to support the growth of our title. You will play a vital role in optimizing our User Acquisition performance, focusing on channel efficiency, campaign impact and creative testing. You will thrive in this role if you have the ability to combine domain knowledge with analytical methods and collaborate with stakeholders from various backgrounds, always keeping return of investment on the top of your mind. You will use your skills to discover opportunities, objectively evaluate what works, and make actionable recommendations to improve the performance of our UA activities. The role is located in our Stockholm studio: not in Sweden - we can support your relocation.

You will have impact and fun at work by: Working with the team members of your pod, participating in the end to end process of new feature development from planning, research and testing to launch and post launch evaluation Bringing an objective perspective and recommendations to all phases of decision making, leveraging your technical skills to mine raw data for valuable information Constantly designing and running in-game A/B test experiments, helping the team to find options leading to better game monetization performance and higher audience satisfaction Creating dashboards and reports to help the game team understand your findings Proactively working with data exploration and looking for opportunities to improve gameplay experience Working closely with peer Data Analysts, Product Managers, Designers and Producers to continuously improve how we are interpreting game metrics and making decisions Coaching and sharing best practices between colleagues in the data craft and whole game team Experience and skills we are looking for: High proficiency in SQL Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or R Solid understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing, regression, analysing bias) Experience in product analysis and experiments design including A/B testing Excellent presentation and collaboration skills with proven ability to present data and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders Prior experience as an analyst in mobile games or apps with large audiences Passion for playing games and understanding what makes a successful feature You'll work in a hybrid setup with two to three days at the office per week. We're looking for an enthusiastic Analytics Manager to join our Central Data Team and guide our central analytics sub-craft. In this hybrid player-coach role, you'll be the heart of our data strategy, helping our studio and central teams understand their data needs while staying close to the craft you love. You'll directly support and mentor a wonderful team of six analysts, including a trainee, fostering a welcoming space where everyone can learn and grow together. As a key strategic partner, you'll connect closely with our games-as-a-service platform (Beacon), our direct-to-consumer team, and our user acquisition tooling teams. Together, you'll help shape our business unit planning and turn complex data into clear, compassionate insights that support our internal game teams.
