Nordic Investin has been engaged by a partner company to find a Senior Integration Architect. You see integration architecture as
the design of dependable business relationships between systems, teams and data owners.
The partner is modernising a fragmented integration estate spanning cloud services, SaaS platforms and established enterprise
systems. You will define target patterns and guide migrations toward clearer APIs and event flows.
The work spans organisational boundaries and requires both technical understanding and disciplined communication. Decisions must
remain useful when they reach delivery teams, suppliers and operational owners.
HOW YOU WILL WORK
You will work across teams with different incentives, technical histories and decision rights. The partner expects concise
preparation, visible dependencies and follow through after meetings. Strong performance means that people understand what was
decided, why it matters and what they now own.
As a senior colleague, you will own substantial outcomes and help others make stronger decisions. You are expected to recognise
risk early, communicate it without drama and move work forward with practical alternatives. The role still includes hands on
delivery; seniority here means broader judgement, not distance from the work.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Define API, event and batch integration architecture.
Establish contract, versioning and ownership principles.
Guide platform choices and reusable integration services.
Review critical designs for security and failure handling.
Plan migration from legacy middleware and point to point connections.
Support delivery teams with patterns and technical decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Senior integration engineering or architecture experience.
Strong API, messaging and distributed systems knowledge.
Experience with cloud integration platforms.
Understanding of identity, data governance and observability.
Ability to create incremental migration paths.
Clear communication across business and technical domains.
EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD ADD VALUE
Kafka or enterprise event streaming.
Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft or Boomi.
SAP, Salesforce or supply chain integration.
A BACKGROUND THAT CAN SUCCEED HERE
You may have built integrations in code, led middleware platforms or designed service architectures. The partner values architects
who can discuss a failed message at implementation level and the organisational ownership behind it.
