We’re now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Team Intelligence — a growing team of Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts responsible for analytics products, reporting capabilities, and the data foundations that enable trusted decision-making across our platform. Your primary mission will be to help the team grow and succeed, while also contributing to the technical direction of our analytics platform together with architects and senior engineers. You’ll work closely with Area Lead Robin Bodin, an experienced engineering leader, who will support you in both your leadership journey and the continued development of Team Intelligence. ABOUT THE ROLE As Engineering Manager for Team Intelligence, you’ll lead a team working at the intersection of analytics, data and AI. You’ll be responsible for creating an environment where people can do their best work, ensuring sustainable delivery, and helping the team develop both their capabilities and ways of working. At the same time, you’ll stay close to the technology, supporting technical discussions and helping guide decisions around data products, analytics platforms, and modern data architecture. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: * Lead, coach, and support Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts through regular 1:1s, feedback, and development conversations. * Create clarity around priorities, ownership and team ways of working. * Partner with architects and area leads to help shape technical direction and long-term improvements. * Support technical decision-making and help balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability. * Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture. * Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the org. Also someone who is comfortable navigating technical discussions and contributing to decisions around data products, analytics platforms, and modern data architecture. While this is first and foremost a leadership role, we believe great leadership in this environment comes from understanding the challenges your team faces and being able to provide both support and technical guidance when needed. We also believe you have: * A strong technical background within Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering or Data Analytics. * Experience leading people formally or informally as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, Team Lead, or similar. * An interest in coaching, mentoring, and helping others develop. * The ability to contribute to discussions around data modelling, analytics engineering, semantic layers, data products, and modern data architectures. * Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills. * dbt, Databricks, Spark SQL, or similar technologies. * BI and analytics platforms. * AI, ML, or data product environments. About the team The Solutions Architecture team serves as trusted advisors, helping customers identify and prioritize impactful use cases across their industries. Our team provides expert technical guidance to drive Data and AI solutions from concept to production. About the role A Digital Native Business Solution Architect Leader is a senior technical and strategic role focused on designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions tailored for digital native companies—businesses born in the digital era, often leveraging cloud, APIs, and modern data platforms. This leader not only understands data solutions but also leads and mentors a team of solution architects to deliver impactful customer outcomes. You’ll empower companies to innovate and grow together with your team. The impact you will have / Key Responsibilities: * Technical Leadership: * Guide customers through competitive landscapes, best practices, and implementation strategies. * Provide technical leadership to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems. * Team Leadership & Mentorship: * Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team of solution architects. * Drive exceptional customer outcomes demonstrated by production applications and increased adoption of APIs and platforms. * Develop technical champions within customer organizations. * Customer Engagement & Strategy: * Partner closely with sales teams to develop account strategies and align on plans that help our customers to achieve their business goals. * Lead technical win strategies and support technical account management for strategic customers. * Engage with end-user and developer communities to understand needs and tailor solutions accordingly. If you are excited about this role and have related experience, we encourage you to apply.* * Have 8+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role, managing C-level technical and business relationships with complex global organizations. * Have 2+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales teams with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage technical teams. * Strong understanding of digital native business models and their technology and business requirements. * Extensive experience (often 5+ years) in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, networking, and IT development or consulting within software or internet industries. * Have a proven ability to lead technical teams and an operational and strategic mindset in doing this. * Have strong communication skills with excellent presentation and negotiation skills, both in-person and written.  * Have experience in pre-sales activities, such as solution design and business value selling. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional proficiency in English (knowledge of any Nordic language is a plus, but not a hard requirement).
