Sr. Fullstack Engineer – Frontend | Content Experience
At TV4, technology, innovation, news journalism, sports and entertainment come together.
Every week, around eight million people use TV4 Play and MTV Katsomo. How users find, discover and engage with content is central
to the overall experience, from the first search to the next recommendation.
We are now looking for a Sr Fullstack Engineer with a frontend focus to join Content Experience, the area responsible for helping
people find the right content, at the right time, on the right platform.
WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
Content Experience is the part of TV4 Play and MTV Katsomo that users interact with when looking for something to watch. A large
and constantly changing catalogue of content needs to be easy to discover, navigate and choose from.
The experience needs to be fast and intuitive for millions of users across different screens and platforms. This places high
demands on both the technical solutions and our understanding of how people actually use our products.
You will work close to the actual user experience and solve technically complex problems where the result of what you build is
directly visible to the user.
WHY YOU MIGHT WANT TO JOIN US
You want to work closely with product and design and like seeing a clear connection between technical decisions and what actually
reaches the user.
Your technical strength is in frontend, but you see yourself as a software engineer rather than a specialist in one particular
part of the stack. You are comfortable moving across the stack when the problem requires it and want to understand the systems
behind the experience you are building.
You enjoy combining technical depth with product understanding and taking responsibility from idea and hypothesis through
implementation, follow up and continued development.
You see AI as a natural part of modern software development and are curious about how new tools and ways of working can help you
and the team build better products.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Content Experience is a cross functional team where engineering works closely with product and design. We also collaborate with
other engineering teams to connect our solutions with the rest of TV4's technical platform.
The team has significant technical ownership and is responsible for its solutions all the way to production. The work is
characterised by a high degree of autonomy and a close connection between technical decisions, product and users.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build and evolve user experiences in React and TypeScript
Take technical responsibility for frontend architecture, quality, performance and long term sustainability
Work across the stack, from client and APIs to backend services when the problem requires it
Build solutions that help users discover, navigate and choose content
Drive technical initiatives and contribute to architecture and technology decisions
Turn user needs into working technical solutions together with product and design
Use AI tools as a natural part of the development process
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced fullstack engineer with a clear focus on modern frontend development and mature engineering judgement. You
can move from a user problem to a technical solution, understand what actually needs to be solved and make well founded technical
decisions even when the problem is not fully defined.
We believe you:
Have deep experience with React, TypeScript and modern web development
Are comfortable with backend development, APIs and integrations
Have a strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance, quality and long term sustainability
Have experience working in modern cloud based product environments
Understand how frontend applications interact with underlying services and systems
Can move between the bigger picture and technical detail
Communicate clearly and work well in a cross functional product team
It is a plus if you have experience with:
React Native
Go
GraphQL
Streaming or media platforms
Search, recommendation systems or personalised user experiences
High traffic consumer products

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
The role is based in Stockholm
TV4 is office first, and we normally work from the office four days per week
This is a permanent position with a six month probationary period
The position is covered by our collective agreement with Unionen
