Rare Beauty Brands is a fast-growing portfolio of innovative beauty and skincare brands, including Kate Somerville and Patchology.
We combine the agility of a startup with the discipline of a performance-driven organization, scaling brands that inspire
confidence, deliver results, and consistently outperform their categories. Our teams move quickly, test boldly, and operate with a
deep commitment to data, creativity, and collaboration.
Kate Somerville is seeking a fractional Shopify expert to serve as the hands-on technical owner of our DTC ecommerce platform for
a focused six-month period. The one qualification we won't trade away is deep, real Shopify mastery: someone who already lives
inside Liquid, metafields, metaobjects, and a heavily customized, multi-layered theme, and doesn't need ramp-up time to learn the
backend.
Strategic thinking is genuinely welcome here, not just tolerated. If this person sees a smarter merchandising approach or a better
way to sequence a promotion, we want to hear it. But we're not hiring for strategy first and hoping the technical skill follows;
we're hiring for technical mastery first, and strategic instinct is the bonus round.
The six-month window is intentional. Kate Somerville is in the middle of shaping a broader connected commerce strategy (spanning
loyalty, personalization, subscription, and marketplace), and this engagement is structured to stabilize and improve the current
Shopify environment while that longer-term architecture is decided. A strong fit here could extend or evolve as that roadmap
solidifies.
The Mindset We're Hiring For
Every hire on this team gets measured against one trait first: does this person find a way to win? We're looking for builders and
tinkerers, not people who wait for the perfect brief. Specifically, that means:
waiting.
into, not a reason to punt.
a customer.

This is a 3-6 month fractional or contract engagement, structured around scope rather than a fixed weekly hour count. Cadence and
time commitment will flex based on the promotional calendar and project load and can be discussed directly with candidates who are
the right technical fit. Extension beyond six months is possible. Los Angeles area preferred.
About us Ankorstore exists to help independent brands and retailers thrive by making wholesale simpler, faster, and more profitable. We’re building the infrastructure that powers modern wholesale for brands — from getting discovered by the right retailers to ordering, logistics, and financing — so both sides can work together on better, more sustainable terms. At Ankorstore, we don't want to live in a world where the only option for shopping would be large e-com websites or chains. We believe local independent retailers have a huge impact on the soul of the cities and villages we live in, and we are convinced they can flourish if they are provided with great tools and great purchasing conditions. That is why we have built a network connecting the most authentic European brands to thousands of independent retailers. We are proud to serve every day these amazing entrepreneurs who are making our life enjoyable. About your role : As Integrations Manager, you will sit within the Revenue department and act as the bridge between Ankorstore's technical capabilities and the brands we work with. Integrations are a critical lever for brand retention and growth on the platform: when a brand can seamlessly sync their catalog, stock, and orders between their existing tools (Shopify, WooCommerce, Odoo, Sellsy, PrestaShop...) and Ankorstore, they sell more and churn less. Your role combines commercial ownership with hands-on technical execution. You will own the end-to-end journey of brand integrations, from discovery and qualification, to technical setup and go-live, working hand in hand with the Tech team who builds and maintains the connectors and APIs. You are both the face of integrations to brands and the internal champion who ensures the right solutions reach the right accounts. Main responsibilities : * Integration sales and qualification: As part of the go-to-market motion, identify brands that would benefit from integrating their systems with Ankorstore. Lead integration discovery calls, assess technical fit, and build the business case for integration with the brand's team. * Technical onboarding and go-live support: Guide brands through the full setup of their integration, from initial configuration to first successful sync. Serve as the primary point of contact during the onboarding phase, coordinating with the Tech team when API or connector issues arise. You’ll need to master the internal Ankorstore API. * Bespoke integration management: For brands whose needs go beyond off-the-shelf plugins, project-manage custom API-based implementations (catalog sync, stock sync, order management) in close coordination with internal engineers. Qualify scopes, align on timelines, and ensure delivery. * Cross-functional coordination: Act as the ongoing link between the Revenue/GTM team and the Product & Tech team that builds and maintains Ankorstore's connectors and public API. Ensure that commercial priorities are reflected in the product roadmap and that new connector capabilities are rapidly activated in the field. * Performance monitoring and continuous improvement: Track integration health and adoption metrics. Identify brands with broken or underperforming integrations and lead remediation efforts. Surface systemic issues to the Tech team with clear context and business impact. Preferred experience : * 3 to 5 years of experience in a technical account management, solutions engineering, or integration-focused role * Strong understanding of e-commerce and ERP ecosystems (Shopify, WooCommerce, Odoo, Sellsy or similar) as well as a good understanding of the independent retail ecosystem * Hands-on with APIs: you can read API documentation, understand payloads, troubleshoot data mapping issues. You can also write code to test endpoints, debug a connector end-to-end, and technically unblock a brand yourself. You don't ship production code, but engineering shouldn't be your first stop when something breaks. * Commercial sensibility: you understand the brand's perspective and can position integrations as a value driver, not just a technical setup * Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills * Analytical mindset: comfortable with data to track adoption, diagnose issues, and prioritise efforts * A hands-on, problem-solving attitude and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-moving environment * Fluent in English Location: Paris - At least 4 days a week at the office Benefits/Perks At Ankorstore we offer a versatile range of benefits to support employees' well-being and work-life balance, fostering personal growth within an innovative and adaptable work environment. * All of our employees are automatically covered by Health Insurance & Life Insurance. Our Health Insurance (Mutuelle) and Life Insurance (Prévoyance) are SideCare * We have partnered with Swile to provide you with meal vouchers * You will have access to Leeto a platform that provides you with exclusive discounts, cultural activities, holiday vouchers and more * Modern offices located in Paris (Opéra), providing a vibrant and inspiring work environment * Wellpass * ...
