Description Position at JBS USA PLANT CONTRACT MANAGER POSITION This position will be located in the livestock office, responsible for managing supplier contracts for the Beardstown facility, and for assisting buyers with entering and tracking purchases in our computer-based procurement system. This includes monitoring the price paid to the suppliers according to the terms of their contract, and making sure suppliers are delivering the quantity and quality of swine specified in the contract. This role will also ensure there is good communication between the Procurement team and the suppliers to minimize supply chain interruptions. The qualified individual will gain an understanding of the procurement process from scheduling of the loads, receiving, processing, carcass evaluation, and payment. Be able to fill in for the plant scheduler and the carcass evaluation manager as needed. Other various daily tasks may include daily counts, costs, and pricing. Other relevant tasks, as assigned by manager. Monitor compliance and successful completion of all required certification and verification programs required by JBS DAILY JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.Maintain contract pricing and daily delivery details for contract suppliers in CPS. 2. Monitor and review weekly, monthly and quarterly delivery requirement for each contract supplier 3. Communicate with suppliers about hog production cycles, weaned pig numbers and marketing estimates 4. Complete and send daily projections to managers, plant operations staff and other team members. 5. Track various price discovery market points to calculate hog prices for the contract suppliers 6. Maintain reports and perform other duties as needed. Your Impact at LILA Lila Sciences is opening a Contract Loading Dock Manager role to run the dock operations at our Alewife campus. As the company expands lab capacity across multiple buildings, the volume of incoming reagents, equipment, lab consumables, and capital deliveries has grown significantly, and lab teams depend on reliable, well-communicated dock operations to keep experiments on schedule. The Loading Dock Manager owns day-to-day receiving operations: coordinating inbound deliveries, inspecting and routing shipments, maintaining an organized dock area, and serving as the point of contact between carriers, vendors, and onsite lab teams. The role works closely with Facilities Management, Lab Operations, and EH&S to ensure deliveries are handled safely and communicated promptly to the right people. This is a hands-on contract position, 40 hours per week, based onsite at Alewife. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, takes ownership of operational details, and enjoys working alongside scientific and engineering teams. What You'll Be Building * Manage daily inbound deliveries from carriers, vendors, and couriers at the Alewife dock * Inspect shipments for damage, quantity accuracy, and documentation before routing * Maintain packing slips and invoices, and submit them for record-keeping as needed * Communicate delivery arrivals and exceptions to lab and operations teams in real time * Coordinate large or scheduled deliveries with vendors, Facilities, and lab leads in advance * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dock area in line with EH&S standards * Track received goods and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal teams * Support onboarding of dock operations at new Alewife buildings as they come online What You'll Need to Succeed * 3+ years managing receiving, shipping, or loading dock operations in a lab, manufacturing, or large commercial setting * Experience coordinating high-volume deliveries with carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders * Strong communication skills with the ability to relay delivery status clearly across teams * Working knowledge of safe material handling and dock equipment * Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack * Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and perform sustained physical activity on the dock floor * Comfort using inventory or receiving tracking systems and basic spreadsheets * Ability to work onsite at Alewife, 40 hours per week, during standard receiving hours * Flexibility to work across multiple Alewife buildings, and at other Lila campuses as needed Bonus Points For * Prior experience in a life sciences, biotech, or pharma receiving environment * Familiarity with handling temperature-sensitive or hazardous shipments (cold chain, dry ice, chemicals) * IATA or DOT certification for handling hazardous materials shipments * Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one * Experience standing up dock operations in a new building or facility * Comfort working in a fast-moving, growth-stage company About LILA Lila Sciences is building Scientific Superintelligence™ to solve humankind's greatest challenges. JOB SUMMARY: Successfully rent equipment as measured by actual rental volume compared to the rental potential of the assigned territory. Generate rental and sales leads in an assigned geographic territory. Rent equipment on a profitable basis as measured by gross profit on each sale and cumulative gross profit at fiscal year end. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Canvases assigned geographic territory to obtain rental revenue and sales leads from existing and potential customers. * Visits job sites to identify new opportunities. Contacts all contractors while on site to obtain necessary customer contact information for follow up. * Generates call reports for each customer interface and enter information into Upshot. * Communicates qualified information to appropriate account manager and Rental Manager. * Maintains current call list and current rental agreement list for follow up on the job site. * Identifies call frequency based on customer needs, volume, and requirements. * Maintains up-to-date knowledge of features and application of all Empire products and services. * Maintains competitive knowledge of rental rates, terms, strengths, weaknesses and performance relative to value. * Plans customer contacts and activities in advance to optimize efficiency. * Assists in meeting stated objectives for rental fleet time utilization and financial utilization. * Rents equipment on a profitable basis as measured by gross profit on rental contract. * Create an environment of ownership and personal accountability where each person is responsible and accountable for their performance. * Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Utilizes dodge reports and other tools to penetrate prospects in the biding phase. * Collects and enters in Upshot; competitive information regarding lost rents, pricing, customer saturation. * Maintains current account awareness in all phases. * Searches and identifies rental opportunities. * Participates in customer events (demo days, tours etc.) * Maintains an understanding of merchandising programs. * Takes initiative in resolving customer disputes in a timely manner. * Meets established goals for quantity of customer calls. * Utilizes Rental coordinator's phone logs to generate follow up calls. * Provides Sales support when necessary. * Works within and promotes corporate values. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Must maintain current driver license and be available to travel. * Must have an In-depth knowledge of CAT product line. * Must be able to comprehend equipment specifications, price lists, and reference material. * Must perform common sales calculations quickly and accurately. * Must have ability to develop in-depth experience in capital sales. * Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively with people and influence sales/rental transactions. * Ability to maintain consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). * Minimum 2 years experience in Rental Sales. * Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
