We are looking for an experienced Senior Control System Engineer
What You Will Work On
Design and develop control systems for gas turbine service and modernization projects
Develop and configure control logic using Siemens PCS7 and T3000
Participate in engineering development projects for control system solutions
Improve and optimize existing control system products
Perform control system design, programming, and configuration
Support modernization and lifecycle upgrades of industrial control systems
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Electrical, Instrumentation, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity
Produce and maintain technical engineering documentation
Participate in technical reviews and design verification
Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
Support testing, commissioning, and system validation activities when required
Ensure engineering solutions meet quality, safety, and customer requirements
Work both independently and as part of project teams
What You Bring
Minimum 8 years of experience in control system engineering for gas turbines
Strong experience in control system design and development
Hands-on experience with Siemens PCS7 and/or Siemens T3000
Experience working on industrial automation or power generation projects
Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary engineering teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English

A Zyntai network consists of hundreds or thousands of TimeNodes that continuously exchange time information and measurements. The system uses this data to estimate network and oscillator behavior and to control the local clock in each node. This requires advanced algorithms within control theory, estimation, filtering, signal processing and mathematical optimization. The core challenge is to distribute time over complex networks with extremely high accuracy — without depending on GNSS. For more info about the product, visit: https://netinsight.net/5g-sync THE ROLE AND TEAMS You will work in the team responsible for the core synchronization functionality in Zyntai. The team develops the algorithms and software used to process measurement data, estimate system behavior and control the oscillator in each TimeNode. You will work with methods such as Kalman filtering, Model Predictive Control, PI/PID controllers, state estimation, signal processing and mathematical optimization. Most implementation is done in modern C++ in the TimeNodes. Python is used for modelling, analysis, tooling, testing and development in Zyntai Director, Net Insight’s Kubernetes-based orchestration system for managing TimeNodes. You need to be comfortable moving between theory and implementation: from mathematical reasoning and control system design to production-quality software in a distributed system. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for a senior engineer who combines strong knowledge within control systems with the ability to build high-quality software. You probably enjoy understanding the underlying system — not just the codebase. You like mathematical and algorithmic challenges, and you are comfortable discussing control loops, estimation, stability, filtering, optimization and real-world system behavior. You do not need to have worked with time synchronization before, but you need strong experience from automatic control, applied mathematics, signal processing, robotics, cybernetics, telecom, industrial systems or similar areas. Create detailed electrical designs using EPLAN P8. Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Design electrical control panels in accordance with international standards. Interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements. Identify and evaluate suitable technical solutions for customer projects. Estimate engineering effort, project timelines, and implementation costs. Collaborate with project teams, engineering departments, customers, and contractors. Ensure electrical systems comply with IEC standards, including EN 60204. Participate throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design to implementation, testing, qualification, and handover. YOUR MISSION We are seeking a (Senior) Flight Control System Engineer (all genders) to lead the design and development of the flight control systems for our battery-electric aircraft. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and integrating the aircraft’s primary and secondary flight control systems, including both mechanical and electrically actuated elements, working in close collaboration with the flight physics, structures, and systems teams. You will drive the flight control system throughout its complete development lifecycle, from system-level requirements definition through architecture development, preliminary and detailed design, supplier coordination, integration, verification and validation activities, and ultimately system and aircraft certification. Working cross-functionally with structures, avionics, flight physics, systems, and overall aircraft design, you will ensure robust integration of the flight control system within the aircraft. As a senior engineer, you will play a central role in technical decision-making, system trade-offs, and the maturation of the overall aircraft configuration. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY * Define, derive, and manage system-level requirements for the flight control system, ensuring alignment with aircraft-level requirements, program objectives, and applicable certification regulations (CS-23 and related operational requirements). * Perform system-level functional analysis, including functional decomposition, architecture definition, interface identification, and traceability management. * Lead the detailed definition, development, and integration of the flight control system, covering installation design, kinematics, load paths, performance, reliability, maintainability, and safety considerations. * Own the technical coordination and oversight of suppliers and development partners, including requirement allocation, design reviews, verification activities, and compliance demonstration. * Support and contribute to system safety activities related to flight controls, including Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA/SFHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), and Zonal Safety Analysis,in accordance with applicable airworthiness and safety standards. * Actively contribute to the design implementation and configuration control of the flight control system within the aircraft Digital Mock-Up (DMU), ensuring proper integration with structures and other aircraft systems. * Support the flight controls certification process, including preparation and review of certification plans, compliance checklists, qualification documentation and execution, and participation in ground and flight test campaigns. YOUR PROFILE * Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering(or equivalent). * Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in the development of mechanically actuated aircraft flight control systems, preferably within Part 23aircraftprogramsoperatingunder a DOA environment or international equivalent. * Strong background in systems engineering applied to flight controls, including requirement capture and management, functional decomposition, interface definition, and traceability. * Demonstrated expertise in the design, integration, assembly, and testing of mechanical primary flight control systems, including kinematics, load transmission, tolerance management, friction and free-play control, and troubleshooting during ground and flight test campaigns. * Proven experience across the full product development lifecycle, from conceptual architecture and preliminary design through detailed design, verification, validation, and certification (Part 23 or Part 25). * Solid understanding of airworthiness and certification processes, including compliance demonstration and interaction with airworthiness authorities. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are an asset. * Proficiency in PLM and CAD systems; Dassault’s 3DX platform is a plus. * Self-driven, solution-oriented professional with strong ownership mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic development environment. * Strong personal motivation for aviation and the advancement of electric aircraft technologies.
