The Role
Legora has grown from 40 to more than 600 people in 18 months. During that time, we reached $100M ARR, tripled our valuation in
five months, and continued expanding into new markets around the world.
Our Talent Acquisition function is now entering its next chapter. The processes, standards, and hiring approach that support our
next phase of growth are being built today, which you’ll play a significant part in. You'll work closely with senior leaders from
day one and play a key role in shaping how Legora hires and scales.
What you’ll do
Revenue growth depends on having the right commercial talent in place, fast, and at a high bar. As a Senior Talent Partner, you
will own that directly for the APAC region. You are not a support function for the Go To Market (GTM) teams. You are a commercial
operator in your own right, accountable for the quality and velocity of the people who drive Legora's growth.
You will own end-to-end hiring across mostly GTM + some Corporate roles in the APAC region, working closely with senior leaders
who are genuinely invested in recruiting, trusted to make high-impact decisions on hiring and team composition.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. * 8 years of experience in enterprise software sales, with a dedicated focus on the Australian and New Zealand BFSI vertical. * Proven track record of selling complex technical solutions, data platforms, or enterprise infrastructure into the major banks. * Experience executing structured enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC, consultative selling, value-based selling) across multi-stakeholder business and technical business units. * Experience navigating both "hunting" (new business/new logo acquisition) and "farming" (expanding existing footprints and major account management) cycles. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Deep domain expertise within the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) vertical, including strong existing relationships with C-level executives, line-of-business owners, and data architects. * Experience selling cloud-native data architectures, relational/NoSQL databases, analytics platforms, or AI/ML infrastructure. * Strong understanding of the specific compliance, regulatory (e.g., APRA), and data sovereignty frameworks governing the ANZ financial sector. * Proven success co-selling and aligning with the local public cloud provider ecosystems (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and global systems integrators (GSIs). * Strategic acumen to balance high-velocity territory hunting with deep-dive, long-term strategic account planning within institutional banking accounts. ABOUT THE JOB As an Enterprise Account Executive for the BFSI vertical, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and expansion of Neo4j’s graph database technology within the most critical financial institutions. Based in Sydney, you will manage a highly strategic portfolio consisting of premium tier-1 accounts—including several major banks—alongside a rich territory of greenfield financial services and insurance prospects. In this role, you will balance hunting for new logos with a "land and expand" approach to deepen our footprint within existing accounts. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, showing how graph databases solve complex, multi-billion-dollar challenges like real-time fraud detection, anti-money laundering (AML), regulatory compliance, and generative AI enablement. You will blend financial sector acumen, enterprise sales prowess, and cloud ecosystem partnership to secure the market-leading position for Neo4j in financial services. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and execute a comprehensive vertical account plan for the ANZ BFSI market, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales metrics across both net-new and expansion targets. * Drive end-to-end, value-driven enterprise sales cycles within major banks and other financial institutions, engaging both technical stakeholders and business executives. * Spearhead account expansion ("farming") strategies within established accounts by identifying new high-value workloads, use cases, and departments to scale Neo4j adoption. * Systematically hunt for and capture new logos within the broader mid-tier banking, wealth management, fintech, and insurance sectors. * Orchestrate internal cross-functional squads—including Pre-Sales Engineering, Field Marketing, Customer Success, and Channel Partners—to scope, deliver, and qualify impactful Proofs of Value (POVs). * Maintain exceptional CRM hygiene in Salesforce.com, ensuring rigorous deal tracking, account profiling, and accurate forecasting in line with corporate guidelines. Part technical advisor, part incident lead, part operating model owner, you hold the technical health of Legora's most complex client relationships and define the playbook the whole function runs on. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Own the relationship: Hold the technical health and escalation outcomes for our Strategic Accounts, serving as their primary point of escalation and continuity, and read usage and adoption signals to get ahead of risk. * Lead in a crisis: Act as incident lead on Sev1 and Sev2 events, owning coordination, customer communication, and the path to resolution. Drive post-incident reviews as trust-building artifacts and product feedback loops, not just process checkboxes. * Set the standard: Define and own the escalation criteria, account-health model, and cross-team interfaces the function runs on. Build mechanisms that make the team consistent and not dependent on individual heroics. * Own the Technical Blueprint: Maintain the single source of truth for each account, including data setup, integrations, security and legal considerations, and workflow context. Carry technical context from implementation into the live relationship so nothing is lost in the handoff and the whole account team can rely on it. * Drive adoption and enablement: Run technical reviews and enablement sessions that deepen product usage, unlock new value, and keep customers current on the platform. * Partner proactively: Work with Engagement Managers (CSM function) on Quarterly Business Reviews that tie technical health to business outcomes. * Coordinate escalations: Align the Platform Consultants and the Technical Platform Expert around a single resolution path, holding customer-facing ownership while technical root cause is driven in parallel. * Stay close to the signal: Own the highest-stakes cases in the L2 queue for your assigned Strategic Accounts, and serve as the escalation point for Platform Consultants before an issue reaches the Technical Platform Expert, so you stay close to the ground truth of each account's technical health. WHAT YOU BRING * You have owned strategic, high-value B2B accounts and kept clients confident when things went wrong. * You have led incident response or major escalations under pressure, start to finish. * You communicate with executives as clearly as with engineers: confirmed facts, explicit trade-offs, named owners, and no speculation presented as certainty. * You build frameworks, not workarounds, and you raise the bar for everyone around you. * A background in legal AI, legal tech, or a regulated professional-services domain is a strong plus. The role As a Commercial Counsel in Legora’s Sydney office, you will play a central role in supporting one of the fastest-growing legal technology companies globally. You will work closely with our commercial teams, advising on a broad range of matters with a primary focus on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. This role requires a high degree of independence and the ability to operate across multiple time zones, partnering closely with stakeholders to enable deals while managing risk. You will report to the General Counsel, based at our Stockholm headquarters. Legora’s legal function is a forward-deployed, AI-first team working across multiple jurisdictions and legal disciplines. We act as trusted partners to the business, with particular focus on product development, operations, and commercial initiatives. What you will be doing: * Act as a commercial legal partner to the business, working closely with senior stakeholders in Growth, Operations, and Procurement on customer and supplier engagements. * Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of customer and supplier contracts, with a strong focus on closing deals efficiently and pragmatically. * Advise on commercial risk allocation, pricing structures, liability, and contractual protections within customer and supplier agreements. * Support go-to-market and procurement activities by enabling scalable, repeatable commercial contracting practices. * Address data protection and compliance considerations primarily within the context of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring risks are appropriately managed without slowing execution. * Develop and maintain commercial templates, playbooks, and guidelines to standardise negotiations and improve deal velocity. Who you are * Admitted to practice law in Australia (or eligible for admission in Australia). * 3-6 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) gained at a leading law firm and/or as in-house counsel. * Strong experience negotiating B2B SaaS agreements and supporting commercial teams. You’re an excellent negotiator. * Strong legal judgment and confidence in making decisions independently. * Experience in handling corporate matters and drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. * Experience with data privacy matters, IT security and/or corporate law is meritorious. * Your focus is on achieving meaningful business outcomes, translating into actionable advice delivered clearly and comprehensively. * You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment and rapidly evolving business setting.
