Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer you have talented professionals around you such as data scientists, software developers, designers and of

course our clients and their end-users. You will work with a variety of projects, domains and business cases; Lately, we have been

working with data architecture of a media company, building a real-time chat spam detector for a gaming company, and making data

more accessible to a governmental organization.

We are excited to find team member who is already based in the Helsinki or Tampere area and eager to collaborate with our team and

customers. We offer a hybrid working mode that allows for flexibility, but it is important that the candidate is located close by

one of our Finland offices to ensure seamless collaboration. Please kindly note that, at this time, we are unable to offer

relocation opportunities, or we will need to be highly selective in considering such requests.

• Solid know-how on building, deploying and orchestrating data infrastructure (e.g. serverless computation, Sagemaker, CI tools,

Terraform, or similar tools). You have a dev-ops oriented mindset.

• Good understanding of databases. Relational databases are most often used, but many projects also employ document databases,

key-value stores, and related technologies.

• Practical software experience from a variety of projects. Python or Java experience is on top of our list right now, but other

languages are definitely considered as a plus too!

Additionally, a strong interest in AI is considered a big plus. We highly appreciate candidates who have explored AI-related

topics through work or personal projects, so feel free to highlight these in your application.

Your complete compensation package will be discussed in detail during the recruitment process. Our salary model is designed to

offer a range of levels based on three factors: skills, responsibilities and impact. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive

During the initial interview round, we will discuss the salary range for this position. We offer a fixed salary with the

possibility of performance-based bonuses and additional benefits.

1. First conversation (60 min, Google Meet)

You will meet two Futurice team members, get to know them, and have the opportunity to introduce yourself while learning more

about Futurice, the role, and our ways of working.

2. Skills-based interview (90 min, Live)

A deep dive into your skills with two of our data consultants. We’ll review your problem-solving approach and skills.

3. Role, expectations & projects interview (60 min, Live or Google Meet)

A conversation focusing on your potential role, expectations, and upcoming projects. This interview is typically with your

potential supervisor and a Principal-level team member.
