The API team is responsible for ensuring our first party clients (Android, iOS, and Web) have a stable API to develop on top of. Our customers are Pinterest developers who want to build product features, and who rely on a highly available system to do so. As the Engineering Manager for API, you will lead a talented and growing engineering team responsible for growing the existing portfolio. The ideal candidate should have experience building backend web applications, be driven to become an expert in their domain, have some knowledge of distributed systems engineering, and have a passion for leadership.   What you’ll do: * Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to architect solutions to better serve Pinterest’s internal development needs * Provide technical and team leadership on rapid short-term projects/feature development as well as longer-term development * Partner with engineering leadership to set engineering priorities, estimate scope of work, execute work, and track progress * Actively foster high-quality software development through code reviews, pair-programming, and targeted feature development and when needed to unblock the team, prototype new technologies and systems, or demonstrate good coding practices * Mentor and develop engineers at various levels of seniority * Enable and enhance production readiness of Pinterest’s first party client APIs * Grow the team in your first year of employment by hiring great people   What we’re looking for: * 1+ years of experience as an engineering manager * 4+ years of software engineering experience as a hands on software engineer * Track record of developing high quality software in an automated build and deployment environment * Experience leading a team of engineers through a significant feature or product launch * Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience This job posting is for an open vacancy. The Opportunity: OpenTable is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly analytical, user-focused Product Manager to join our diner team. This role oversees both web (desktop and mobile web) and apps (iOS and Android) and touches the experience of millions of diners that come to us to discover and enjoy great restaurants.   As our Diner Engagement PM, you’ll inherit our notification center and loyalty program. You’ll then help set our strategy to increase session starts per diner. You will work directly with a strong development team to ship world-class features and collaborate with teams from all over the company to ensure we keep our product high-quality. The right candidate will combine an AB-test-driven approach with a strong design sense and product vision. Your Responsibilities: * Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products * Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution * Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers * Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction * Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products * Understand OpenTable’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry * Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm * Coordinate with teams around the world from a variety of disciplines. Includes some travel, mostly within California but potentially international Minimum Qualifications: * 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on business-to-consumer (B2C) products. * Experience developing and executing product strategies, managing roadmaps, and leading end-to-end product development lifecycles. * Experience establishing success metrics, defining testing plans, and executing A/B testing and post-launch optimizations. * Experience managing cross-functional alignment and collaborating with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Product Marketing, and Sales teams. * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience managing consumer web and mobile application products at scale. * Proven track record of building and managing strategic relationships with external business partners. * Strong analytical, data-driven problem-solving skills with a user-centric approach to design and product development. * Ability to navigate complex trade-offs, manage multiple competing priorities, and influence stakeholder alignment at all leadership levels. * Master of Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in a related field.
