We’re looking for a curious and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Commercial team. In this role, you’ll be essential in creating pipeline, driving outreach, and contributing to our revenue growth. You’ll focus on outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and generating high-quality meetings for our Account Executives (AEs). As an SDR, you’ll be the first person a prospective customer speaks to. You will engage potential clients, understand their needs, and identify opportunities where Trengo can add value. WHAT YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE * Proactively identify, engage, and follow up with potential customers through outbound channels (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, social selling, and more). * Create specific industry/segment approaches through research and understanding of market primary needs * Lead discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, highlight how Trengo can help, and guide them toward a qualified opportunity. * Book high-quality meetings and demos for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth and informed handover. * Work closely with Marketing and RevOps to align on messaging, account prioritization, and CRM accuracy. * Continuously test and refine outreach strategies in collaboration with Marketing, using data to improve conversion rates. * Contribute to a high performing, collaborative commercial environment by sharing insights, learnings, and best practices. About the role We’ve spent the last two years actively shaping EU legislation to ensure our Account Verification Services (AVS) became the gold standard. After successfully lobbying for a safer financial landscape, we’ve emerged as the EU market leader in Account Verification (VOP, CoP), widely considered the standard in the industry. We have outgrown the "blank canvas" startup phase, but we are not a rigid corporate machine. We currently service about 225 banks in 16 countries. As a VP Business Development you will own the entire commercial domain with the goal of growth across Europe—spanning Sales, Presales, and Partnerships. Your objective is to leverage our commercial teams and focus on Tier-1 banks as our primary channel to reach their corporate clients. Focus will be on adding new logos as well as complex, strategic cross-selling (e.g., Fraud Risk Indicators and Global Solutions) of our additional products. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to reclaim "home markets" where local schemes currently dominate and penetrate top European banks. * Strategy Execution: Own and implement the "Bank-as-a-Channel" model across the EU and UK.
