We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for Asana’s monetization platform, the systems
that power billing, pricing, packaging, incentives, product catalog management, and revenue-critical operational workflows across
the company.
The team builds the internal platform, APIs, and administrative experiences that enable Asana to safely and rapidly launch and
evolve monetization capabilities at scale while maintaining high standards for reliability, scalability, and financial
correctness. This includes business-critical integrations with billing providers, product catalog infrastructure, incentives and
promotional systems, and the core abstractions used by product teams to build monetization experiences.
The team combines platform engineering, financial systems, and product infrastructure to enable scalable monetization capabilities
across Asana.
Our systems sit at the intersection of product strategy, monetization infrastructure, and scalable backend engineering. The team
plays a foundational role in enabling new business models, enterprise monetization features and pricing evolution.
This role is a unique opportunity to help shape and scale a strategically important engineering organization responsible for some
of Asana’s most business-critical monetization infrastructure.
This role is based in our Vancouver office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday,
Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the

We’re looking for a technical and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead our Payment Platform team and accelerate how we safely and rapidly evolve monetization at Asana. In this role, you will own the strategy and execution for our core monetization infrastructure, turning complex billing, packaging, and pricing capabilities into a flexible, resilient platform that other engineers can easily build on. WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE * Own the product strategy and long-term roadmap for a meaningful scope within Asana's monetization platform, making explicit prioritization tradeoffs to maximize customer value and business impact. * Shift our capabilities from siloed, long-cycle features into reusable, self-service components, patterns, and APIs that enable faster, cheaper internal innovation. * Ensure our billing administration, product catalogue, and incentive workflows are highly reliable, scalable, and technically robust to meet evolving business demands. * Partner closely with Product Engineering, Infrastructure, Finance, and Data teams to streamline revenue-critical operational workflows and unblock cross-surface complexities. * Define durable success metrics and indicators (such as expansion, activation, and billing retention) to validate system performance and business health. ABOUT YOU * 5+ years of product management experience managing complex backend systems, infrastructure, or platform products, ideally with a background in engineering or a technical transition into product management. * Deep understanding of global payment systems, billing administration, pricing/packaging configurations, and financial data pipelines. * Proven track record operating independently in highly ambiguous problem spaces, balancing deep technical debt/investments against immediate business needs. * Exceptional ability to simplify system-level and integration-level complexity into clear, sequenced architectural bets. * Excellent cross-functional communication style, with a talent for building shared understanding across deeply technical and operational business teams. * Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. The Consumption Based Billing & Licensing (CBBL) team builds the systems that decide what customers can access, what they've purchased, and what they've used. We own the infrastructure behind licensing, entitlements, and usage-based billing for Asana's newer products and add-ons — making sure customers get the right paid features, usage is tracked accurately, and admins have clear ways to understand and manage their accounts. As Asana expands its product surface and pricing models, the systems we build directly shape how the business grows and how customers experience the value of what they've bought.
