Under de senaste åren har Cgrain gått från att vara ett innovationsdrivet utvecklingsteam till att nu befinna sig i en tillväxtfas där fokus ligger på att skala upp verksamheten och skapa tydligare struktur. Teamet består idag av ett mindre antal medarbetare, men planen är att växa ytterligare under året. Du kommer att bli en del av ett nytt team som byggs upp, med fokus på kundprojekt och leverans. Arbetsuppgifter I rollen som teknisk projektledare ansvarar du för att driva kundrelaterade projekt kopplade till Cgrains AI-baserade analyslösningar. Du fungerar som länken mellan teknik och kund, där du säkerställer att projekten genomförs på ett strukturerat sätt samt att kundernas data och underlag håller rätt kvalitet. Du arbetar i nära samarbete med utvecklare och AI-ingenjörer där du driver projekten framåt fram till att modellerna kan tränas och tas i bruk. Department of Forest Bioeconomy and Technology We are seeking an engaged and motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join an interdisciplinary research collaboration between the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Umeå University, and the University of Massachusetts. As Sweden and the EU work towards ambitious biodiversity and ecosystem restoration goals, understanding the human dimensions of forest management is increasingly important. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to research at the intersection of psychology, economics, and forestry, helping to inform decisions towards more resilient forest landscapes. In Sweden, some 300,000 individuals and families own about 50% of the forestland that spans across two-thirds of the country. These family forest owners will need to undertake the preponderance of actions for creating more biodiverse forests in Sweden. In an interdisciplinary project funded by the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation, we pose three specific research questions: What salient elements in cognitive models represent family forest owners’ perceptions and judgement strategies about forest biodiversity on their ownerships? Do family forest owners have the capability, opportunity and motivation to change towards biodiversity-enhancing forest management behaviors? Can interventions providing financial compensation encourage family forest owners’ change toward adopting biodiversity-enhancing forest management behaviors? To help answer these questions, we seek to recruit a postdoctoral researcher to join researchers in applied economics, psychology, and forestry. The candidate will support the integration of behavioral science principles and natural resource management knowledge into relevant research designs; developing research questions; applying appropriate analytical methods; and writing scientific manuscripts. This is a two-year full-time post. A specific task is the development of protocols to engage in interviews with family forest owners, support data collection, and lead analyses.  The workplace is the SLU campus in Umeå. Postdoctoral position in Plant Evolutionary Genomics and Pangenomics Department of Plant Biology About the position A postdoctoral position in plant evolutionary genomics is available in the Yant Lab at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala, Sweden. The Yant Lab develops computational and genomic approaches to understand evolution, adaptation, genome dynamics, and whole-genome duplication across diverse plant systems (see https://www.yantlab.net/).  The project is funded through a Formas grant aimed at restoring European ash (Fraxinus excelsior) populations threatened by ash dieback. The successful candidate will contribute to developing the first Swedish-focused European ash pangenome, integrating long-read genome assemblies with population-scale sequencing to understand disease resistance and local adaptation across Europe. The project combines large-scale population genomics, graph-based pangenomics, structural variant discovery, genome-wide association studies, and evolutionary genomics using state-of-the-art long-read sequencing and computational genomic approaches. The successful candidate will work closely with collaborators at other SLU campuses, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and other European partners, contributing to both methodological developments and biological discovery. The project offers an opportunity to work at the forefront of plant evolutionary genomics while contributing directly to forest restoration and conservation. Department for Molecular Sciences Subject area: Biology Description of the PhD projects We are seeking two PhD students in the field of biogas production, with a focus on the digestion process. The biogas process is currently an important tool for achieving multiple societal benefits and environmental goals. Through anaerobic digestion, a wide range of organic waste streams and residues can be treated while simultaneously closing nutrient cycles and producing renewable energy and nutrient-rich biofertilizers. Biogas production also contributes to increased preparedness and self-sufficiency. The biogas process is driven by complex microbial communities that must remain balanced to ensure efficient and stable biogas production. At the Department of Molecular Sciences, research is conducted both on process operation and optimization and on process microbiology, often in close integration. The PhD projects will focus on the following areas, with some opportunity for the successful candidates to influence the detailed project design. Biogas production from agricultural feedstocks – Process optimisation. Biogas production in the agricultural sector is currently expanding rapidly, creating a strong need for new knowledge and technological development. As a PhD student in this project, you will operate and evaluate different laboratory-scale biogas processes with the aim of optimising both biogas production and biofertiliser quality. The processes will be studied using chemical and microbiological analyses, and there will also be opportunities to work with process modelling. Process microbiology. This project focuses on the microbiology of different types of biogas processes and on how microbial activity is affected by different operational conditions, as well as how these changes relate to process function and stability. The work will involve molecular biological methods and bioinformatics to analyse microbial communities in both laboratory-scale and full-scale biogas processes. The aim is to identify microorganisms and microbial markers associated with specific operating conditions and to be used to predict process disturbances.
