Asana is looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join our IT Team and help manage AV and event operations across our worldwide offices. Based in our Warsaw office, you will primarily support our conference rooms throughout the EMEA region and oversee team/regional AV events. This role will be focused on keeping 100+ Zoom Rooms throughout Europe and APAC fully operational, while being available to assist in customer-facing events, Team All Hands, Regional syncs, and traveling for senior leadership AV needs. You ask questions and confidently admit when you don't have all the answers. You enjoy collaborating with others rather than working in isolation, but can work independently when necessary. While you are precise and detail-oriented, you can also think creatively and push boundaries when necessary. This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric schedule. The current expectation is to be in the office 5 days a week for this position. Many Asana employees have the option of 1 or 2 work-from-home days a week, but these are critical times for testing, maintenance, and repairs. What you’ll achieve * Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure specific needs for event technology. * Perform daily checks of conference rooms and presentation spaces to ensure full functionality. * Operate a wide range of A/V equipment ( Zoom, Crestron, QSYS, Logitech, Neat) * Plan and support events ranging from 300+ person internal/external events to small team meetings. * Edit videos using Adobe Creative Suite and assist in maintaining a living video library. * Troubleshoot A/V and network-related issues affecting event setups and performance. * Maintain detailed technical documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides. * Develop on-the-fly solutions for events, train end users for DIY events and act as an escalation point for all video conferencing IT support tickets in the EMEA region.. About you * 5+ years of experience servicing Video Conferencing rooms and/or L2/L3 IT Support for A/V * Experience in corporate live events, conference center operations, or hotel A/V support a plus * Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions. * Flexible schedule to support occasional night/weekend maintenance or traveling to other offices for support. * Proficiency with event production and conferencing technology (Yamaha, Tricaster, Blackmagic ATEM, Neat, Logitech, Poly, Crestron, Zoom Rooms). * Experience with collaboration and ticketing software (gSuite, Asana, etc). * Skilled in event coordination and project management with attention to detail. * Comfortably and clearly able to communicate with executives, vendors and customers with varying levels of technical backgrounds. * Effective communication skills and familiarity with presentation and media editing tools (gSlides, PowerPoint, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop). The actual base salary will vary based on various factors and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. As an AV and Events Engineer L4, you will be responsible for managing and supporting audiovisual (AV) technology solutions, remote event support, and executive support for industry conferences. Your expertise in AV technology trends, bleeding-edge tools, and certifications will contribute to the success of our organization's AV and events initiatives. You will also mentor members of the End User Computing and Operations team in order to mentor and grow the team alongside you. RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you’ll: * Design, configure, and deploy AV systems and equipment, including audio and video conferencing systems, displays, microphones, and control systems. * Manage AV infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted AV services. * Support remote, executive and in-person events, including setup, testing, and operation of AV equipment, ensuring seamless audio and visual experiences. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders, event planners, and vendors to determine AV requirements and provide expert guidance on technical capabilities and limitations. * Assist executives and presenters with AV setup and troubleshooting during industry conferences and high-profile events. * Stay updated with the latest AV technology trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of AV capabilities. * Conduct training sessions and create user documentation to empower employees to effectively utilize AV systems and equipment. * Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and system optimizations to ensure optimal performance and reliability of AV solutions. * Monitor and analyze AV performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and propose innovative solutions to enhance the AV experience. * Occasional business travel will be needed so flexibility is necessary to support business objectives. Working with users, technical teams and external contractors, you will coordinate audiovisual installations and refurbishments, ensure the standardisation of AV equipment, support the deployment of new technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of conferencing services. Your responsibilities: - Ensure the standardisation of AV equipment across conference and meeting rooms (projectors, LCD screens, video/audio conferencing systems, sound reinforcement and interpretation systems) and maintain an active technology watch to recommend the most suitable AV solutions. -Coordinate the design, installation and renovation AV systems in compliance with CERN technical standards, including the programming and maintenance of Extron and Crestron equipment controllers. -Establish and maintain the master plan for the renovation of AV equipment in meeting rooms and auditoriums, including equipment selection, installation design, commercial offer analysis and coordination with other services involved in room renovation. -Coordinate the work of external contractors, including equipment installers and operational support teams, organise site visits, ensure maintenance and operational interventions, and manage AV maintenance contracts. Provide third-line technical support, identify and resolve complex technical issues, collaborate with webcast, recording and video conferencing services, and contribute to the continuous improvement of conferencing services. Your profile: Proven experience in the design, installation and maintenance of AV conference rooms and auditoriums, with proficiency in AV control platforms (Extron, Crestron) and design tools (AutoCAD or equivalent). Experience in coordinating technical teams, managing contractors/contracts, and in client relations and user technical support. Networking knowledge including the OSI model, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Dante, Art-Net, etc. Higher Technical diploma or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Audiovisual Engineering, with a specialisation in Audio and Video Technology or a related field.
