We are looking for a senior Business Developer who wants to play a key role in developing and growing a new business with significant long-term potential. About the role This is not a traditional sales role. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and developing new business within the radioisotope value chain – in many cases before a defined offering is fully established. Working at the intersection of technology, regulatory frameworks, and commercial strategy, you will: • Identify and develop new business opportunities within medical and industrial isotopes • Build and leverage your network across pharma, nuclear medicine, research, and industrial sectors • Drive complex sales processes and long-term partnerships • Initiate and develop collaborations, including potential joint ventures • Contribute to shaping new offerings, services, and future product directions • Work closely with technical, operational, and regulatory teams to turn opportunities into viable business This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and requires the ability to move forward even when not all parameters are defined. What you bring We believe you have a strong commercial background combined with relevant industry experience, for example within: • Radioisotopes / radiopharmaceuticals • Nuclear technology • Advanced technical B2B environments You likely have: • Experience in business development or sales within a complex, regulated industry • A strong network within relevant sectors (e.g. pharma, nuclear medicine, research, or industrial applications) • Understanding of isotope production, nuclear technology, or related value chains • Proven ability to build trust and drive long and complex business processes • Relevant academic background (e.g. Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or similar) Who you are To succeed in this role, you thrive in an environment where not everything is defined from the start. You are comfortable identifying, shaping, and building business opportunities over time, and you are motivated by creating results in a longer-term perspective rather than seeking quick wins. You are: Entrepreneurial and proactive Persistent and comfortable working with long time horizons Relationship-driven and commercially sharp Collaborative and able to navigate complex organizations Location & travel The role is flexible in terms of location within Europe. However, the role involves extensive travel, both internationally and to Studsvik, and requires a high degree of flexibility. Why join Studsvik? Studsvik offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of nuclear technology and its applications in healthcare and industry. You will: • Play a key role in building a new business with global potential • Work in a highly specialized and growing market • Collaborate with leading experts in technology, safety, and nuclear services • Have real influence on strategic direction and future offerings Application In this recruitment, Studsvik collaborates with Rubino Rekrytering. Blykalla is scaling quickly in order to industrialize our small modular reactor (SMR) concept. If you are passionate about nuclear technology and want to make a significant impact, join us! Blykalla is developing next-generation nuclear technology through the SEALER program, requiring structured and evidence-based technology maturation across multiple concurrent development streams. We are looking for a SEALER Technology Maturation & Validation Architect who will define and evolve the framework for Technology Readiness Levels (TRL), Technology Readiness Assessments (TRA), and Technology Maturation Planning across the portfolio. This role ensures that SEALER technologies progress from concept to deployable system in a coherent, traceable, and strategically well-aligned way. What we do at Blykalla Blykalla is developing the next generation of nuclear technology with our Small Modular Reactor (SMR) based on innovative fuel, materials, and reactor designs. As Sweden’s only SMR developer, we are on a mission to decarbonize industries and enable safe, scalable, and sustainable energy solutions. Our technology uses uranium nitride fuel and lead coolant, creating novel challenges and opportunities for the fuel cycle and supporting systems. What You’ll Get to Do As SEALER Technology Maturation & Validation Architect, you will define and support how technologies mature across the SEALER portfolio. You will establish the framework that connects Technology Readiness, verification and validation approaches, and product development milestones into a coherent and traceable system. Your responsibilities will include: Technology Maturation & Readiness Define SEALER’s TRL framework and facilitate Technology Readiness Assessments (TRA) across programs. Identify critical technologies and characteristics that influence system maturity and risk. Develop and maintain Technology Maturation Plans (TMP) together with system engineers and subject matter experts. Verification & Validation Strategy Define how analysis, inspection, testing, and demonstration activities contribute to structured TRL advancement. Establish method selection and qualification approaches aligned with system architecture. Coordinate maturation efforts and validation resources across concurrent SEALER development streams. Verification, Validation & Qualification Governance Integrate Technology Maturation Plans into the Integrated Product Development Roadmap (IPDR). Ensure readiness progression aligns with stage-gates and V-model design milestones. Support Design Verification Planning (DVP), maturation reviews, and structured progression between development phases. Where This Role Can Take You You will play a key role in shaping how SEALER technologies mature from early-stage concepts to fleet deployment. As the V&V organization grows, this role can evolve into functional leadership of Advanced Validation Engineers or broader portfolio-level technical leadership within SEALER’s development.
