THE OPPORTUNITY Alpha FMC is expanding its Wealth Management Technology practice and is looking for an experienced Solution Architect to help wealth management firms navigate technology transformation. This role sits at the intersection of wealth management domain expertise and technology delivery, supporting clients across the advisor-facing value chain: from client onboarding and account management through portfolio construction, trading, performance reporting, and client communications. You will work directly with wealth managers, TAMPs, RIA aggregators, broker-dealers, and fintech vendors to define, design, and deliver technology solutions that address the full complexity of modern wealth management operations. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES As a Solution Architect in our Wealth Management Technology practice, you will: * Define and lead delivery of wealth technology solutions spanning platform implementation, system integration, and data architecture, managing experienced developers and technical consultants. * Manage Wealth Tech vendor partnerships, including joint go-to-market opportunities, pipeline development, relationship management, and the overall partnership framework that positions Alpha as a preferred implementation and integration partner in the wealth management technology ecosystem. * Translate business requirements across the financial advisor value chain into solution designs that address onboarding, account management, portfolio management, trading and execution, performance reporting, billing, and client engagement. * Leverage deep familiarity with the Wealth Tech vendor landscape, including TAMPs, portfolio management systems, order management systems, CRM platforms, financial planning tools, custodial integrations, and data aggregation providers. * Support clients in improving and optimizing their operating models, including resource management, technology architecture, and business process design across advisor-facing and back-office functions. * Define and socialize technical approaches for implementation, including SDLC frameworks, data migration strategies, API and custodial integration patterns, and client onboarding workflows. * Present options and designs to business and technology stakeholders at all levels, articulating Alpha's perspective on industry best practices clearly and with credibility. * Input to project definition, resourcing, timelines, and objectives within a workstream or engagement. * Drive documentation and development according to specifications and standards. * Participate in project team meetings and communicate effectively with client peers, architects, system analysts, business analysts, project managers, and technology teams, reporting project status as required. * Support Alpha's internal IP development, including proposition development, accelerators, and at least one area of specific Wealth Tech expertise. * Take a lead in mentoring and coaching team members. ROLE REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE AND DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE * 7+ years of experience in technology roles within or serving the wealth management industry, including direct experience with fintech implementations and integrations. * Deep familiarity with the financial advisor value chain, spanning client onboarding, account management, financial planning, portfolio management, trading and execution, performance reporting, billing, and client communications. * Hands-on experience implementing or integrating Wealth Tech platforms such as Apex, Orion, Envestnet, Tamarac, Black Diamond, Riskalyze/Nitrogen, iCapital, Addepar, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, Redtail, or comparable systems. * Working knowledge of custodial infrastructure, including integration patterns with Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, and similar custodians, and familiarity with data delivery standards such as ACATS, DTCC, and FIX protocol. * Experience with the RIA, broker-dealer, and TAMP ecosystem, including an understanding of how these channels differ in technology requirements, regulatory constraints, and advisor workflows. * Familiarity with insurance distribution and alternative investment platforms as complements to core wealth management operations is a plus. TECHNICAL SKILLS * Experience leading complex system integration projects, including API design, data mapping, and middleware configuration. * Proficiency in data architecture and engineering concepts, including data modeling, ETL design, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse. * Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data pipeline tools. * Ability to design scalable and reliable architectures that account for the data volume, security, and compliance requirements of wealth management operations. * Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality frameworks, and governance practices relevant to client and account data in wealth management. CONSULTING AND CLIENT SKILLS * Demonstrated ability to lead client-facing engagements, manage stakeholder expectations across business and technology teams, and influence senior decision makers. * Strong executive communication skills with the ability to present complex technology options in business terms to C-suite, operations, and advisor-facing audiences. * Experience managing technology projects using Agile or other methodologies in a consulting or client services context. * Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work effectively across client, vendor, and internal project stakeholders. The Procurement Manager is responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing operations, executing purchase orders, and maintaining data accuracy across procurement systems. Operating on the US Team, this role partners with stakeholders across the business to process purchasing requests efficiently, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and support a range of category and sourcing activities. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to develop their procurement skills across a broad range of spend categories, with a clear path to grow into a senior specialist or category-focused role over time.
