Bytajobb.se is operated with the goal of simplifying and protecting job seekers' daily lives. We never sell your data to third parties and only share your profile when you actively choose to apply for a role or make your profile discoverable to verified employers.

2. What data do we process?
We only store and process the information required to deliver the core features of the job platform:
- Account & Profile: Name, email, password (securely encrypted via Firebase Auth), professional headline, biography, skills, and optional home address for travel time calculations.
- Preferences: Saved job ads and settings for your automated Job Scouts (e.g. preferred transport mode and maximum commute duration).
- Resumes: Resume files in PDF format that you upload to your profile to auto-populate your details or send to prospective employers.
3. Cookies & Tracking
Cookies are small text files stored in your web browser. We categorize our storage into two areas:
Necessary Cookies (Consent not required)
Used to keep you authenticated, remember your language preference (Swedish/English), and persist your ongoing settings. These are stored locally via secure tokens and are required for the website to function.
Analytical Cookies (Active consent required)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors navigate our site, monitor performance, and improve the user experience. These cookies are only loaded if you explicitly click 'Accept' in our cookie banner.

- Instant Deletion: Inside your account settings, you can delete your account with a single click. This instantly and permanently purges your credentials, profile, uploaded CVs, saved listings, and scouts from our databases.
- No hidden storage: We do not store historical or inactive profiles after you close your account. All data disappears from active databases instantly.
5. Job Indexing & Text/Data Mining (TDM)
Bytajobb.se operates as an open job aggregator and search engine for the Swedish and Nordic labor markets. In addition to public data from national agencies such as the Swedish Public Employment Service (JobTech Open Data), we index public job listings directly from employers' open career portals and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
Indexing is conducted in compliance with EU Copyright Directive (Directive 2019/790 Art. 4 on Text and Data Mining), Swedish Copyright Law, and GDPR Art 6.1 f (Legitimate Interest) to assist job seekers and route applications directly to the employer's official portal.
6. Employer Opt-Out & Takedown Rights
