HSE ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP ABOUT THE ROLE At SkyNRG, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plays a key role in supporting a safe, compliant, and future-ready organization. As an HSE Intern, you will support the development and implementation of health and safety processes while contributing to projects that strengthen our safety culture. During this internship, you will work closely with the HSE team and gain hands-on experience with HSE documentation, risk awareness, and training initiatives. In addition to supporting daily HSE activities, you will contribute to projects focused on improving processes, documentation, and employee awareness. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: * HSE research & support: Conduct research on relevant HSE topics to support ongoing initiatives and improvements, applying a foundational understanding of HSE engineering principles (e.g. HAZID/HAZOP basics, risk matrices). * Documentation & processes: Support drafting and improving HSE processes, policies, and documentation. Assist in standardizing HSE technical procedures, work instructions, and control documentation; apply process mapping techniques to identify gaps, leveraging basic engineering risk assessment concepts. * Training & awareness: Assist in developing educational content such as HSE toolbox talks and learning materials. Support in translating regulatory and engineering concepts (including risk identification and assessment methodologies) into accessible content for cross-functional audiences. * Implementation: Assist in implementing HSE processes, including supporting training and adoption across the organization, reinforcing consistent application of fundamental HSE engineering practices. YOUR PROFILE You recognize yourself in the following: * Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental engineering, Chemical/process engineering or a related technical discipline (e.g. Environmental science, Chemistry), or a related field (enrolled for the full duration of the internship) * Strong interest in health, safety, and compliance within a dynamic work environment * Familiarity with HSE management system standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001) or regulatory frameworks (EU directives, REACH, etc. ) * Basic understanding of HSE/safety engineering principles, including introductory concepts in HAZID/HAZOP, knowing what P&IDs and block flow diagrams are and being able to read them at a general level. * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams * Analytical mindset with ability to translate technical findings into clear documentation * Proactive, independent, and detail-oriented mindset * Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential information * Professional level of English, both written and spoken * Full-time availability for a 6-month internship * Comfortable working in a fast-growing and evolving organization ABOUT SKYNRG Since 2009, SkyNRG has been a change maker in the aviation industry. Platform Engineering at IMC Trading builds and runs the core platforms that power our business. This Site Reliability Engineer role within Platform Engineering is focused on security projects: embedding security into system design and infrastructure to protect and accelerate our rapidly evolving technology landscape. As a bridge between application development and production operations, Platform Engineering enables and applies security by design: embedding controls, guardrails, and secure defaults directly into our platforms and infrastructure. You will implement security into IMC systems in ways that reduce friction and raise our baseline of safety and reliability. We are hiring a Site Reliability Engineer within Platform Engineering to drive security-focused initiatives across IMC. You will collaborate closely with most technology teams, operate with high autonomy, and take ownership and responsibility for outcomes: delivering high-impact improvements to source control, CI/CD, observability, and the secure foundations our trading platforms rely on in a fast-changing, cutting-edge environment.   Your Core Responsibilities:  * Write and maintain code to extend, integrate, and improve the services we support - from custom plugins and API integrations to internal tooling and automation frameworks * Partner with development and engineering teams to make the secure path the easy path by providing tooling and guidance aligned with business objectives, fostering collaboration instead of friction * Incident response: interpret threat intelligence in context, investigate and resolve software supply chain security incidents promptly, supporting our Global Operations in a ‘follow the sun’ model * Both use AI to provide innovative tools and protect against AI-driven security risks * Maintain and support our central secret management service, ensuring optimal adoption across scenarios and workflows while following security best practices * Support and innovate identity architecture at scale for users, services, and AI agents. Implement consistent authentication and authorisation across system constraints * Manage large-scale security projects across technologies and teams   Your Skills and Experience:  * 3+ years of work experience in a relevant role * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent * Programming experience in Python; Shell scripting is a plus. * Hands-on experience with Linux systems and container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and Docker. * Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity) and securing pipelines: DevSecOps practices, safe artifact ingestion, and software supply chain security. * Expertise in OIDC/OAuth2.0 and experience with IAM architecture, including implementation of authentication and authorization in complex full-stack systems * Experience with secret management tools (preferably HashiCorp Vault); maintaining similar centralised security services is a plus About Us IMC is a global trading firm powered by a cutting-edge research environment and a world-class technology backbone. You will lead the team that develops and owns the engineering foundation behind Adyen Payments Optimization: the backbone that delivers Routing and Signaling as a Service across the global payment processing. As an Engineering Manager, you will build, mentor, and coach a diverse and talented team of backend, machine learning and data engineers. What you'll do * Lead the cross-functional Optimization Interfaces team with hands-on technical leadership, driving architecture strategy and raising the bar through active mentoring and technical guidance. * Work cross-functionally with Design, Product, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Developers and other key stakeholders. * Have a multiplier effect by motivating team members and providing coaching in areas including but not limited to: engineering best practices, scalable architecture design, product roadmap discussions. * Maintain an inclusive team culture focused on autonomy, ownership, collaboration, communication, and impact. * Collaborate with different teams to design and implement new services with reliability/infra/data/dev in mind. * Set clear individual and team goals that align with our strategic engineering ambitions in close collaboration with the product manager. * Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication/feedback culture. * Recruit new team members who align with the Adyen culture and required skills.  Who you are * You have an affinity for the Payments optimization domain. * An energetic self-starter experienced in creating alignment between multiple teams. * You have experience with Core Java, Distributed systems, machine learning products and BI tools (e.g., Looker). * You are able to define, implement and monitor performance to quickly identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems. * You have experience in coaching and mentoring engineering talent. * You have experience in leading technical projects in a fast paced and critical environment. * You have experience collaborating with senior leadership to set strategic direction including product roadmaps. * You are an excellent communicator and team player who can inspire others around them. * You can clearly communicate technical concepts to non-engineers.
