ABOUT US We’re Cyted, a pioneering gastrointestinal diagnostics company transforming earlier detection for oesophageal cancer and Barrett’s oesophagus. Our EndoSign test combines a swallowable capsule with advanced biomarkers and analytics to detect disease earlier, improving patient outcomes while reducing pressures on healthcare systems. What started as an idea between a health-tech entrepreneur and leading clinical scientists in Cambridge UK, has quickly grown internationally, backed by EQT Life Sciences and a $44M Series B investment. But we still work like a startup - because we are one. Things move quickly and we’re building as we go. Some days you’ll solve brand new problems and others you’ll roll your sleeves up and get things done. We’re a collaborative team, so your work matters. We have our investors trust, but you won’t disappear into layers of hierarchy, waiting months for decisions. If you've got a good idea, we want to hear it - whatever your role. We like curious, adaptable people who are always willing to learn. This isn’t a polished corporate - we’re building as we go. If you're excited to help build something ambitious from the ground up that makes a real difference to patients' lives - we'd love to hear from you. Our four-stage process runs on a rolling basis, with each stage serving a clear purpose. Shaped by candidate feedback, we've designed it to give you honest insights into Cyted, whatever the role. 1. Initial conversation – A relaxed online conversation with Maddie from our People team to get to know you, talk through your experience and answer any questions you have about Cyted. 2. Line manager interview – An online discussion exploring the role in more detail through scenario-based and role-specific questions. 3. Team interview & assessment – Meet the wider team in person and see how we work. You'll complete a presentation or practical assessment so we can hear your ideas and see how you approach challenges at Cyted. 4. Final Interview – Marcel, our CEO, still meets every potential new joiner. It's an opportunity to discuss your ambitions and how they align with Cyted's journey and future vision. ROLE SUMMARY We're looking for a Business Development Manager who's excited by the challenge of building something new and making a genuine difference to patients. Earlier cancer detection doesn't happen because of great technology alone. It happens because healthcare organisations trust it, understand its value and choose to make it part of everyday patient care. You'll help create and grow Cyted's commercial presence across the Southeast US, working with health systems, IDNs, academic medical centres and gastroenterology practices to bring an innovative diagnostic solution to more patients. This is a highly autonomous, field-based role where success comes from being out in the market, meeting customers, building relationships and creating opportunities. You'll partner with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to understand their challenges and demonstrate how Cyted can improve patient access, clinical pathways and operational efficiency. From first conversations through implementation, adoption and expansion, you'll become a trusted partner while working closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Product and Customer Success to deliver an exceptional customer experience. We're looking for someone who's curious, proactive and enjoys building out in the field rather than maintaining. Whether you've helped grow a territory, launched something new or are ready to take the next step in your career, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact. Your ideas, initiative and insight from the field will help shape how we engage customers, strengthen adoption and continue growing Cyted across the US. WORKING PATTERN AND LOCATION The role is a full-time position with a standard 40 hour working week. The role holder will need to frequently visit other company sites and may be required to work flexibly. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Health System and Specialty Care Business Growth * Developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand adoption of Cyted's diagnostic solutions across priority health systems and care settings. * Engaging clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to demonstrate clinical, operational and economic value, securing reimbursement, new business and successful implementation. * Driving customer adoption, utilisation and growth by overcoming barriers, expanding programmes and increasing access through new care delivery models. Expand Market Access and Early Detection Programs * Educating stakeholders on the clinical and economic value of earlier detection and its impact on patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and quality metrics. * Working cross-functionally with Clinical, Product, Medical Affairs, and Operations teams to support implementation and ensure customer success by redesigning care pathways that improve access to screening, diagnostic testing. * Identifying and pursuing opportunities to integrate Cyted's solutions into preventive care, population health, and risk-stratification programs. Commercial Pipeline Growth * Maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities by developing executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across healthcare organizations. * Representing the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and regional healthcare events. * Providing market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development, commercialization, and growth strategies. * Accurately managing sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions within CRM systems. TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE: Qualifications & Experience * Success selling into US health systems, IDNs or specialty physician practices. * Experience launching new products, territories or services in healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices or life sciences. * Track record of generating new business and managing complex enterprise sales cycles, ensuring sustained success post-implementation. * Experience within molecular diagnostics, pathology, gastroenterology, oncology or medical devices * Understanding of healthcare reimbursement, value-based care or commercialisation of innovative diagnostics. Skills & Knowledge * Strong relationship-building skills and a genuine interest in understanding customer challenges before offering solutions. * Commercial awareness, good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own territory with support from the wider team. * A proactive approach, comfortable creating opportunities and maintaining momentum. Personal Attributes * Proactive, curious and motivated by creating opportunities. * Takes ownership, builds relationships and delivers results. * Thrives in a fast-paced, growing business and enjoys making a visible impact. * Willingness to travel extensively across the Southeast territory. SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE WILL LOOK LIKE: Within your first 30 days * Building strong internal relationships, developing a deep understanding of Cyted's technology, commercial strategy and customer landscape, and confidently communicating our clinical and economic value proposition. Within your first 60 days * Establishing trusted relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, actively progressing opportunities within your territory and confidently managing the sales process with increasing independence. Within your first 90 days * Independently driving new business opportunities, building a healthy sales pipeline, progressing customers towards implementation and making a visible contribution to Cyted's US commercial growth. BENEFITS Financial & Retirement Benefits: * 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan with employer match: * Dollar-for-dollar match on the first 1% * 50 cents on the dollar up to 6% * Automatic enrolment after 2 months * Equity Participation: Share grants subject to board approval, giving you a stake in our mission and long-term growth. Health & Insurance Coverage: * Access to the company's medical insurance with company contributions of up to $1000/month * Access to self-pay vision and dental insurance options * Life Insurance: 3x your annual base earnings, employer-paid * Long-Term Disability (LTD): 60% of base salary up to $10,000/month * Short-Term Disability (STD): 60% of salary up to $2,500/week for up to 13 weeks * Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Full access to our EAP platform including courses and resources to support your wellbeing.
