As a Customer Relationship / Ecosystem Strategist at DEPT®, you are the architect of the client’s relationship strategy. You

JOB PURPOSE This role is part of our Creative & Media team based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. That being said… We’re looking for a Senior Content & Comms Strategist to join our team. You’ll work on large-size projects and consultancy, developing smart, integrated content and comms strategies that drive impact across the customer journey. This role is for someone who loves to puzzle, an expert in making complex things click. You can zoom all the way in (platform nuances, channel roles, formats, sequencing, production realities) and zoom all the way out (brand positioning, long-term direction, business goals, what success really means). You’re comfortable holding the whole comms ecosystem in your head, and turning it into something clear, actionable, and exciting for clients and teams. You’ll work closely with brand strategists, creatives, media experts, and specialists to make sure our work is noticed, shared, and remembered. WHAT YOU’LL DO You’ll spend your days turning ideas into strategies that actually land for our clients, which include brands like ING, Audi, Nikon, Stokke, Praxis and many more. That means: * Designing integrated content & comms strategies across channels and touchpoints (paid/owned/earned/shared), balancing creativity with performance. * Turning client goals into clear strategic direction: frameworks, messaging logic, journey maps, channel roles, content systems, and creative briefs. * Mapping complex ecosystems (audiences, moments, channels, formats, partners) and making smart choices about what matters most. * Bringing audience insight + culture + platform behavior together to guide what we make, where it lives, and why it should work. * Teaming up with brand strategists to bring positioning to life in the real world. * Working hand-in-hand with creatives to make sure big ideas are built to travel, across channels, formats, and timelines. * Collaborating with media and platform strategists, influencer specialists, CRM experts, and partners to keep campaigns consistent across touchpoints. * Presenting your thinking beautifully: making complexity feel simple, structured, and exciting for clients and teammates. * Building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted day-to-day strategic partner. * Supporting new business with sharp thinking, clear points of view, and compelling strategic narratives. * Keeping your finger on the pulse of culture, tech, innovation, communications and platforms. WHAT YOU BRING: * 5+ years in content strategy, comms strategy, creative strategy. * A natural connector and collaborator: you know strategy doesn’t work in a vacuum, and you bring the right people to the table to make ideas stronger. * You have an instinct for linking audience insights to storytelling, channels, and formats. * A systems thinker: you can map an ecosystem, spot gaps, see dependencies, and create a strategy that’s built to work in real life. * Experience linking digital + offline comms into one coherent approach. * You’ve helped shape content and comms for websites, web apps, and apps. * You’ve worked across B2B and B2C contexts, and you adjust your approach to different buying cycles, stakeholders, and decision dynamics. * You’ve worked with global brands and local markets, and you know how to build scalable localisation approaches. * A strong communicator and presenter: you can land complex thinking simply, clearly, and convincingly. * A confident client partner: you can facilitate decisions, challenge constructively, and build trust. * High craft standards, genuine love for the work, and a relentlessly curious mindset. * HBO-/WO-level education (Bachelor’s or Master’s). * Fluent in Dutch and English (must-have!).
