Employee Relations at JetBrains is a newly established function. We don't rely on heavy corporate processes or rigid org charts –
we look for people who use judgment, context, and trust to guide their work. As our team grows across Europe, we need someone to
help build out the foundational frameworks, policies, and practices that keep our workplace relationships healthy.
In this role, you will contribute to the Employee Relations strategy and case management for our locations. You will partner
closely with team partners, Legal, Compliance, and Compensation & Benefits departments, and team leaders to resolve complex
matters. Your insights from individual cases will directly influence how we improve our internal workflows and systemic employee
experience.

The salary range for this role is: What you'll do * Help to further build out our investigation function at Adyen. * Lead and manage all aspects of internal investigations under the direction of NA Employment Counsel. Your responsibilities will cover the full lifecycle of an investigation: * Intakes and interviews * Collecting and weighing evidence * Conducting forensic evidence searches * Making credibility determinations * Reaching factual findings according to the relevant evidentiary standard * Analyzing factual findings against internal policies * Determining whether policies have been violated * Debriefing internal stakeholders and leadership regarding investigation conclusions * Thorough case documentation and record keeping * Develop key Employee Relations and Employment Legal projects, such as improving investigation processes, implementing new ER-focused technologies * Reviewing and recommending existing policy updates. * Occasional legal research regarding employment legal issues. * Design and deliver training programs for managers and employees on topics like respectful workplace conduct, ethical behavior, and effective complaint resolution. * Coaching HR Business Partners on employee relations matters and best practices. * Analyzing data with an eye towards prevention, identifying trends, and recommending initiatives. * Up to 15% travel may be required. What you bring * You have 10+ years of experience in an Employee Relations or Employment Legal role with a primary focus on conducting workplace investigations. * You have deep knowledge of employment law and regulations across North America. * You are an excellent communicator, with the ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion. We are currently seeking an Employee Relations & Compliance Manager to be a part of our Employee Relations & Compliance team. This role will conduct investigations into workplace concerns and support positive employee engagement by providing guidance and recommendations to resolve employee concerns. It will also provide support to the People Business Partner team and leadership with managing under performance as needed. This role will work closely with the People Business Partners, Legal, and Compliance teams to promote equity, company values, and accountability in the workplace and to respond appropriately and fairly to employee concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Conduct prompt and thorough investigations into sensitive employee relations issues, including EEO concerns, and make objective recommendations based on findings. This includes: conducting investigatory interviews, collecting/reviewing relevant evidence, writing investigation reports, and delivering debriefs with relevant stakeholders * Ensure consistent application of policies and procedures * Formally respond to sensitive concerns and allegations as required by internal processes and/or external agencies * Thoroughly document investigative efforts internally using a case management system * Foster effective relationships with HR teams, business leaders, and Employment Legal * Coach People Business Partners and managers on how to appropriately manage and resolve moderately complex ER issues and performance management issues * Support Okta’s leaders and PBPs with performance management and position elimination matters, providing recommendations and guidance in line with Okta’s established guidelines. * Partner with team members throughout the People organization to communicate and educate on policies, procedures, and compliance * Collaborate with Employee Relations leadership to scale and refine the employee relations function, including development of reactive and proactive initiatives, production of data analytics, and providing global employee relations support, ensuring an equitable and transparent employee experience across the company * Participate in the development and deployment of ER related training and other team projects as needed Knowledge & Requirements: * Strong interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by strong written and oral communication, and high emotional intelligence * Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment * Develop trust and rapport and influence cross-functional partners and business leaders * Remain respectful and empathetic when confronted with difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation and/or performance management * Able to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner * Ability to navigate ambiguity within a fast moving and changing environment * Ability to use independent judgment, reasoning and analysis, problem-solving skills and creativity in helping the business solve complex problems * Project management experience or experience as a key project contributor * Effective at managing time and resources while prioritizing and balancing multiple commitments with some input from manager Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree preferred * Minimum 5+ years of relevant employee relations experience, focused on ER investigations, employment legal, performance management, and/or HRBP experiences * Solid understanding of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws * Comfortable working with any level of employee or manager; able to read a situation and navigate complexity and ambiguity * Demonstrated sound judgment and experience assessing and mitigating risk * Ability to Influence: Shapes strategy, decisions, and org behavior through trust and insight Preferred Qualifications: * Advanced degree, law degree, or other specialized training in employment investigations and employment law a plus * Experience supporting international employees and conducting international employment investigations a plus * Experience supporting international employees with performance management a plus #LI_hybrid #IGP11603 Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Ireland.
