Du blir en viktig del av vårt System & Software-team och arbetar nära både interna funktioner och externa partners för att säkerställa att våra produkter håller högsta kvalitet och robusthet över tid. Om rollen I rollen som Senior System Engineer kommer du att fungera som teknisk lead inom hårdvaruutveckling och livscykelhantering med särskilt fokus på elektronik och mekanisk design. Rollen innebär ansvar för att formulera, underhålla och vidareutveckla tekniska kravspecifikationer samt driva tekniska förbättringsinitiativ kopplade till våra befintliga instrumentplattformar. Du kommer att arbeta nära utveckling, QA/RA, produktion och externa leverantörer samt bidra med teknisk support både internt och externt. Rollen kräver stor självständighet, god kommunikativ förmåga och ett strukturerat arbetssätt. Du rapporterar till Manager System & Software och ingår i ett mindre men mycket kompetent team med både seniora och juniora systemingenjörer. Placeringsort är Uppsala. Exempel på arbetsuppgifter Teknisk lead inom hårdvaruutveckling och livscykelhantering Driva förbättrings- och robusthetsarbete för befintliga instrumentplattformar Formulera, underhålla och uppdatera tekniska krav och designspecifikationer Arbeta med elektronik- och mekanikrelaterad felsökning och verifiering Samordna tekniska aktiviteter med externa konsulter och leverantörer Säkerställa att regulatoriska och tekniska krav uppfylls Bidra med teknisk support internt och externt Delta i change requests, verifiering och dokumentationsarbete Samarbeta nära QA/RA, produktion och andra utvecklingsfunktioner Kravprofil – Senior System Engineer Kvalifikationer Vi söker dig som har: Civilingenjörsexamen inom exempelvis elektronik, mekatronik, medicinteknik eller liknande område Minst 10 års erfarenhet av utveckling, underhåll och livscykelhantering av medicintekniska produkter Stark teknisk kompetens inom elektronik samt god förståelse för mekanisk konstruktion Erfarenhet av regulatoriska miljöer och kvalitetsledningssystem inom medicinteknik (ex. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and justifying the mission's Ground Segment Architecture, leading specification and requirements definition activities while actively contributing to procurement and the management of contractor developments. You will play a pivotal role within the Flight Operations Team by planning, executing, and optimizing satellite operations, maintaining spacecraft health, leading real-time anomaly responses, and guiding a small team of engineers. Consequently, your technical scope will include defining onboard failure detection autonomy, drafting flight procedures and user manuals, and planning and leading ground-based System Validation Tests (SVT). Collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver robust solutions, this dynamic position demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. It is desirable that you have a solid technical background in one or more of the following spacecraft engineering areas: Data handling/Software Ground Segment Attitude and orbit control / Orbital mechanics TT&C Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field At least 5 years of experience in satellite system or subsystem engineering Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written Excellent interpersonal skills and communications capabilities Strong understanding of TT&C, flight dynamics, and ground segment architecture Experience with anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and recovery procedures Legal authorization to work in Sweden Added advantageous qualifications: Experience with ESA programs and projects or other large international collaborations Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash). You’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the automation frameworks that underpin our infrastructure operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies at scale, supporting our global trading and research operations.  As a Senior Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions, configuration management, infrastructure orchestration platforms, and monitoring systems that enable our engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable services. You’ll work closely with the entirety of our infrastructure organization, development teams, and other platform teams to drive automation initiatives that help us further provide platforms that drive our delivery. You should have the enthusiasm for leveraging AI development tools to accelerate delivery and driving their adoption across the team. Man Group runs a hybrid working model where we aim for this individual to be in the office 3 days per week.    Role Responsibilities * Building and maintaining infrastructure automation platforms at scale that manage tens of thousands of cores and hundreds of terabytes of memory supporting our python-based quantitative research and trading systems. * Designing infrastructure-as-code and configuration management solutions using tools like Terraform and Ansible to provision and manage our on-premises resources. * Operating and optimising Kubernetes clusters running production workloads across multiple environments.  * Creating self-service systems-centric platforms that empower hundreds of users across Man Group.  * Working with diverse operating systems at scale, including Ubuntu and Windows Server environments. * Collaborating with business stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where infrastructure directly impacts organisational outcomes.    Key Competencies Essential * 3+ years of hands-on experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Salt. * Proven experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters in production environments. * Strong understanding of observability and monitoring practices, including experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms. * Demonstrated ability to work confidently across both Unix based systems (Ubuntu, RHEL, or similar distributions) and Windows environments.  * Experience with scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash, or Go.  * Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with tools like Jenkins or Github Actions. * Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, security best practices, and infrastructure architecture patterns.  * Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation. * Embracing agentic engineering — willingness and ability to work effectively with AI -assisted development tools as part of daily workflow.   Advantageous * Experience with container technologies beyond Kubernetes (Docker, container, etc). * Knowledge of GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux. * Experience with security and secrets management practices using Hashi Corp Vault. * Understanding of storage systems and how they integrate with modern systems architecture.  * Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries. * Self-organised with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage time across multiple projects. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.  * Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in technical communities is a plus.
