The role you are looking at is a part of Wolt Market - our very own grocery stores that deliver unprecedented convenience and world-leading customer experience. People across Greece can order their groceries and have them delivered to their doorstep at lightspeed. As a Wolt Market Area Manager you have ownership of supporting a team of 6-8 Store Managers and Store Team Leads and together running a world-class grocery delivery operation. You are leading everything related to how operations take place and are responsible for finding and setting up targets, optimizing store layout, improving picking and packing costs, ensuring a great user experience and providing leadership to a team of store leaders and grocery associates. Four key areas that you’ll always focus on are the safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your operation. In this role, you’ll get a lot of help and support on the way, but are also expected to be an amazing independent manager with an exceptional ability to execute every single day. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Responsible for the end to end store operations, from fulfillment to delivery in a group of our stores. * Focus on the continuous improvement of our operations. Key focus areas include: safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity. * Maintaining an ambitious and motivated team is one of your main responsibilities, while you also hire and train new store leaders. * Provide day to day leadership and guidance to store leaders and associates to optimize store operations and guarantee operational excellence. * Drive the creation of shift schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other change initiatives to support and enable store leaders to meet and exceed business targets. * Review the demand forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to meet the overall store/country objectives. * Develop optimal store operations in your country together with the Operations Manager and other members of your team. Examples of your areas of responsibility could be workforce management, people compliance, collaboration with inventory and commercial teams, product initiatives and feedback.  OUR HUMBLE EXPECTATIONS  * Operations management experience in retail, distribution or platform economy environments. * Great analytical skills. Excel skills are a strong recommendation. * Experience of leading teams in stores or in a similar field. * Full professional proficiency in English and Greek. * Ability to think and act fast operationally with an eye for detail. * A hands-on, proactive, practical, pragmatic attitude with resiliency for changes. To do this, you will make sure the Shift Leads have the knowledge and right tools to be able to run the store's day-to-day operations smoothly, this might include staying on top of freshness, inventory and stock management. You’ll be responsible for hiring, training, providing daily feedback and also holding 1v1 twice a year to grow the individual, go through performance and set new goals. DAY-TO-DAY IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL: * Leading, growing and motivating a team. Creating an environment where your colleagues can do their best work and have fun while working. You’ll get to plan team events with your team - something we aim to do a couple times a year. * Your main goal will be to consistently improve the way our stores operate with help from the Operations Team. Fast delivery and fluent operations consist of a large field of things, this is one of the key day to day operational tasks you’ll be working with. * Continuous participating in internal and external meeting  * The role also includes a good collaboration and communication with other functions at Wolt to make sure we have a good selection & right products on sale. * Monitoring shrink levels and control the amount of food that goes to waste. * Managing shift scheduling. * Handling incoming goods and order of the store. * Overseeing everything the store and colleagues need to enable fast growth. This includes everything from ordering office supplies or IT-devices to a complete set of new fridges.
