What You'll Be Doing: Tax compliance and reporting in the area of corporate taxes, in particular income taxes, withholding taxes, transfer pricing and indirect taxes. * Establish and maintain close working relationships with internal stakeholders, external tax advisors and the tax authorities. * Management of the annual tax return cycle for the German income tax group, including coordination with the local finance teams and external tax advisors to ensure the timely submission of returns. * Management and reconciliation of tax assessments and tax payments, review of tax calculations. * Ensuring timely reporting of financial information for tax reporting purposes (e.g., for tax provisions and external annual audits). * Support of group companies in tax audits. * Processing of enquiries from the group companies and the tax authorities. * Cooperation with the Transfer Pricing Team in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation. M&A / Reorganisations * Close cooperation with external advisors and WPP's internal M&A and legal teams to structure transactions. * Monitoring of post-acquisition integration and structuring. * Tax support and cooperation with the group companies in connection with the simplification of the group structure. Controls & Risk Management * Supporting Group companies in identifying and managing/avoiding tax risks by driving initiatives to continuously improve tax processes, controls and systems. * Creation of guidelines. * Training of finance teams.
