Camunda is the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, enabling organizations to coordinate AI agents, people, and systems across complex, end-to-end business processes. With built-in governance, auditability, and human oversight, Camunda gives enterprises the control they need to move AI from pilots to production — safely and at scale. Trusted by over 700 organizations worldwide, including 9 of top 10 US banks, Camunda helps enterprises boost operational efficiency, accelerate time-to-value, and deliver better customer experiences. Fully remote and global, we are in the middle of something bigger: transforming into an AI-first organisation, built on our own platform. We use Agentic AI to automate, orchestrate intelligent processes, and elevate human contribution across every team. Named GP Bullhound’s Top 100 Next Unicorn list, 2025 Great Place to Work certified. Visionary in 2025 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Business Orchestration and Automation Technologies. ranked 3rd in Flexa's 2026 Most Flexible Companies, We’re growing fast and looking for top talent to join our team. If you want meaningful work, visible impact and put something genuinely rare on your CV, keep reading. About the Role: Camunda is building the future of process orchestration, and how we bring our people together matters. We are looking for an experienced events professional to own and elevate how Camundi connect, align, and celebrate as a company. This role sits on the People team, which means you will work at the intersection of culture and be aligned with company strategy. Camunda is looking for a seasoned events professional to own how Camundi connect, align, and celebrate as a global company. This is a hands-on production role at its core. The person who thrives here has spent years building and executing complex, multi-day gatherings from the ground up and carries that operational depth into every decision they make. If your background is primarily in communications, program management, or adjacent functions, this role is not the right fit. WHAT YOU WILL DO CAMUNDA KICKOFF (PRIMARY OWNERSHIP) The Camunda Kickoff is our largest internal gathering of the year, bringing together Camundi from across the globe for alignment, inspiration, and connection. You will own this event end-to-end, from the first site visit to the final retrospective. * Lead all logistics: venue sourcing, contract negotiation, travel coordination, rooming, F&B, AV, and on-site execution, while managing an agency to assist. * Manage a network of external vendors with clear SLAs, budgets, and accountability * Partner with the CEO, CPO, and functional leaders to shape the agenda and ensure it reflects company strategy and priorities * Curate content that is substantive and engaging, not filler. That means working with presenters on narrative, flow, and relevance * Build and manage the event budget, track actuals, and report on spend * Lead post-event retrospectives and apply learnings to the next cycle * You will own the event budget, track actuals against it, and report clearly on spend CULTURE AND CONNECTION PROGRAMMING * Identify and execute moments that reinforce Camunda culture throughout the year: team milestones, recognition events, and seasonal touchpoints * Partner with People Business Partners and the broader People team to ensure programming reflects where the company is and where it is going * Advise on the events calendar holistically, prioritizing impact and avoiding Camundi fatigue OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE * Build scalable processes for event planning, vendor management, and stakeholder communication that the broader team can use * Maintain and evolve the internal events playbook * Track and report on event effectiveness using clear metrics tied to attendance, engagement, and feedback WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR * Five or more years of direct, hands-on experience managing corporate or internal events, specifically including large-scale, multi-day gatherings with international attendees. This is the non-negotiable foundation of this role. * Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics, multiple vendors, and senior stakeholders simultaneously without losing the details * Strong project management skills. You use systems and tools to stay organized, not just instinct * Genuine judgment about what makes a session worth people's time, a room setup that works, and an agenda that holds. * Comfort working in ambiguity and iterating quickly. At Camunda, priorities move fast, and you will need to move with them * A bias toward action and clear communication when things go sideways * Experience working in a remote or distributed environment is a real advantage here, given that most of our gatherings bring together people who rarely see each other in person. * Proficiency with standard event and collaboration tools; familiarity with Asana or similar project management software is a plus WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT This role will not have a large team underneath it, at least not initially. If you are looking for a role where you manage a big department, this is not it. It is an event ownership role, and the right person will carry deep craft in that specific discipline. What you will have is significant ownership, direct access to senior leadership, and the opportunity to shape how a global company comes together. The right person will see that as a feature, not a limitation. WHY CAMUNDA We are a remote-first company with Camundi across more than 30 countries. Our FAITH values (Focus, Ambition, Integrity, Talent, Humor) are not a poster on the wall. They shape how we hire, how we work, and how we run our business. If you want to work somewhere that takes culture seriously without taking itself too seriously, this might be the right place for you. This role is an existing vacancy LI-DNI What We Have to Offer: Compensation We offer competitive, fair, and transparent compensation. Salary ranges are location-based, with Standard and Major markets (global tech hubs) reflecting local competition. The Annual Total Target Cash (base salary + 100% variable target, where applicable) shown below spans from the minimum in a Standard market to the maximum in a Major market. The Live Well program launches in 2026 and scales to €1,000 annually from 2027. * Financial Security: Retirement and pension plans (often with company contributions), plus life and disability insurance where relevant. * Professional Growth: Up to $/€/£1,000 per year for self-driven learning: courses, certifications, books, you decide! ”Everyone is welcome at Camunda” — it’s a celebrated component of our culture.
