Manager, AI/ML Ops Engineering (Hybrid in Bangalore)

As we expand Smartsheet India, we’re searching for Senior AI/ML Ops Engineers who crave variety and ownership. You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple teams and disciplines, building a versatile skillset while solving the complex challenges of a global platform. You Will: * Designing, Developing and overseeing the strategy and architecture of scalable and reliable AI/ML Ops platforms / pipelines * Model Deployment: Package and deploy AI/ML services to production, ensuring they are reproducible and interpretable * CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and implement automated CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to accelerate model deployment using tools * Infrastructure Management: Provision and optimize infrastructure for training and serving, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless platforms * Monitoring & Observability : Implement post-deployment monitoring for model performance, data drift, and latency using tools. Experience in Monte Carlo is preferable * Automation: Automate retraining and data pipeline workflows to ensure models stay accurate over time. * Manage the deployment of foundation models, fine-tuning workflows, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) stacks (Vector DBs, Knowledge Graph. Experience with AWS Bedrock is preferable * Resource Optimization: Manage GPU/CPU utilization to minimize cloud costs while maintaining low-latency inference for users * Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to bridge the gap between model development and production. * Version Control & Governance: Manage versioning for data, code, and models using tools like MLflow. * Security & Compliance: Implementing data security measures, ensuring compliance with data governance policies, and protecting sensitive data * Technology Evaluation and Innovation: Staying abreast of emerging data technologies and exploring opportunities for innovation to improve the organisation’s data infrastructure * Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnosing and resolving complex data-related issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of the data platform * Perform other duties as assigned You Have: * Enterprise SaaS software solutions with high availability and scalability * Solution handling large scale structured and unstructured data from varied data sources * Experience in building and maintaining AI/ML Ops platform systems ensuring scalability, reliability, efficiency and security * Working with Product engineering team to influence designs with data, AI and analytics use cases in mind * In depth experience in System design, AI/ML Frameworks and tools involving large Petabytes of data with Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem * AI/MLOps workflows on Databricks , MLFlow, Mosaic AI Agent Framework, Unity Catalog, Vector Search, Knowledge Graph * Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph for AI/ML Ops pipeline integration * Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). That is magic at work, and it’s what we show up for every day. Smartsheet is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the way in data-driven decision-making. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a governed, reliable, and scalable analytics system, transforming raw data into usable datasets for DS/ML, analytics, and reporting.  A key aspect of this role is leading the architecture and implementation of efficient data transformation systems within Snowflake, fostering data democratization and impacting business outcomes. Working closely with BI analysts and Data scientists, you will ensure data accessibility and drive activation on critical customer-facing platforms. This full-time position reports to the Director of Analytics Engineering and is based in Smartsheet’s corporate offices in Bengaluru, India. You Will: * Leading the implementation of efficient and scalable systems that optimize data transformations from our data lake in Snowflake into clean, documented data products.  * Contribute to the design standards and architectural principle standards, designs and processes. * Build and maintain a governed, robust, reliable, and scalable analytics system (DW/DV). * Collaborating with BI analysts and data scientists to provide proper data accessibility guidelines. * Foster data democratization via activation of data on critical platforms like Smartsheet platform, Amplitude, Thoughtspot , Gainsight. * Create and contribute to frameworks that improve data quality and observability to identify and resolve issues faster. * Create and implement data testing plans, encompassing data validation, data quality assessment, and regression testing, to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, or errors in produced datasets. * Mentor and guide teams and help drive high standards across the team by conducting design reviews and engineering ideation forums. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess data privacy needs and define data masking strategies aligned with industry compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA). You Have: * 6+ years of experience in advanced data modeling using Data Vault (DV 2.0), dbt, and Snowflake. * Proven experience in building analytics systems with data transformation, dependency, and workload management (Data Vault, AutomateDV, dbt core, Airflow, Snowflake, GitLab, SQL). * Proven experience with building and maintaining business analytics layers and semantic layers to enable self-service for non-technical end-users. * Strong production experience supporting and maintaining analytics/data warehouse solutions with mission-critical datasets. * Familiarity with data governance principles for maintaining datasets to enable a single source of truth. * Familiarity with self-serve product analytics tools (Amplitude, Thoughtspot, Tableau, Gainsight, etc.). * Knowledge of code management and CI/CD practices (GitLab, Airflow, Snowflake, Terraform). * Familiarity with AWS solutions such as S3, EC2, VPC.   Get to Know Us: At Smartsheet, your ideas are heard, your potential is supported, and your contributions have real impact.
