Soho House & Co. – Barcelona  Job Purpose The place…  Located in the Gothic Quarter, opposite Port Vell, the House has a private Club for our Members with 56 rooms, a private cinema room, and our signature Cecconi's restaurant.   As a Bartender at Soho House, your role is to deliver excellent service to create memorable experiences for our members and guests. Your main focus is to ensure our drinks service is to the highest standard.  As a team we work to go the extra mile, keeping things simple and showing collaboration, kindness and passion in everything we do.  Main Duties * Providing warm, friendly and efficient service according to our steps of service. * Following our full allergy procedure to ensure the safety of our members, guests and team. * Possessing a strong understanding of drink menus in order to make recommendations, pairings and accommodate specific requests. * Efficiently making all drink orders as per specs and timings. * Ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed and implemented. * Running drinks from the bar to tables when needed. * Verifying the age of guests when needed. * Reporting and resolving any complaints and handling all interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism. Requirements A successful Bartender for Soho House will ideally have up to 2 years’ experience in a busy high-profile venue and a natural flair for first class service. You will have strong knowledge of classic cocktails and have experience preparing cocktails and serving in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrating a professional approach towards our  employees and Members, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the club, any associated events in the club and including the member and guest experience.  Main Duties… * Be visible on the floor and engaging with the members gaining feedback and noting any comments through the reporting channels and directly to the kitchen and front of house team * Ensuring that members and guests have a great experience and resolving any issues before they depart * Ordering and purchasing of products for the Club * Coordinate and operate the POS system and ensure all items are updated as necessary * Be available for all staff for any requests and problems and pro-active in problem solving * To ensure that the club team is appropriately groomed and wearing the correct uniform in accordance with site and company standards * Work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently * Print, organize, and separate various necessary documents, summarize relevant information, and distribute information to appropriate employees * Ensure employee compliance with company standards and policies and external regulations * Ensure that hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job * Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards * Maintain the highest level of appearance at all times * Be physically fit and able to safely and repeatedly lift, bend, twist and be able to stand/walk for long periods of time ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What we are looking for... * Up to 3-5 years’ experience in a busy hospitality venue within a Floor Management capacity * Innovator and influencer with previous experience managing F&B operations * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships (internal and external) * Strong attention to details * Excellent customer service * Fluent in English and Spanish * Organised and reliable * Ability to work and maximize relationships within a diverse team * Computer literacy within Opera, Micros and Adaco advantageous ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Benefits..
