With your fresh insights, we will explore new heights together in a culture of mutual respect, trust, and lively collaboration.   Key Responsibilities:   * Develop and implement high-quality CG images, emotional movies and real-time presentations to support communication design and the design operations teams. * Produce bespoke visuals that effectively communicate design concepts, aesthetics, and functionalities. * Optimize models, materials, lighting, and textures for real-time rendering while maintaining high visual fidelity * Collaborate with designers, modelers, and other artists to integrate visual elements seamlessly. * Provide input to stakeholders and creative solutions to design challenges. * Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve and innovate visualization techniques.   Qualifications: * At least 5-7 years of experience in 3D visualization with a focus on automotive visualization. * A portfolio demonstrating creative art direction and high-quality visualizations. * A keen artistic eye for detail, lighting, colour and composition. * Experience in Cinema 4D and Redshift. * Experience in Unreal Engine. * Experience in other render engines such as V-Ray, Redshift, Corona, Cycles, etc is a plus. * Experience in software such as Photoshop, Aftereffects, DaVinci for Post Processing and editing. * Experience with PBR material development and Substance materials. * Proactive and self-motivated, able to work in a demanding fast-paced and international studio environment. * Knowledge about CGI agency pipelines, workflows and automotive design process. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. * Strong organizational skills to ensure projects stay on track. * Degree in Industrial Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Arts and Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. * Fluent in English.     Other Skills and Experience: * Knowledge of the new energy vehicle industry * Knowledge of German culture and business environment * Strong team spirit   What We Could Offer You: * Competitive salary package * A permanent position in a future-oriented company * 30 days paid vacation per year * Mobile working options and flexible working hours * International and multicultural Team * Flat hierarchy and short lines of communication * Empowering environment and actionable feedback * Individual development and training opportunities * Modern office atmosphere, nice colleagues, and free coffee     Thank you for considering joining our team! We develop and deploy software for on-board UAV 3D vision in military applications. Our software solutions are built for scalability first, using low-cost and widely available sensors and compute. Our main office is located in the TU Delft campus in the faculty of Aerospace Engineering. We work closely with top-tier partners, ranging from drone manufacturers to research institutes. Our projects span from orders in collaboration with operational partners to low-TRL research with government agencies. Whether through formal R&D programs or rapid prototyping tracks, we operate at the intersection of innovation and deployment. YOUR ROLE As a Senior 3D Vision Engineer for Aerial Robotics, you will have broad ownership over core functionalities of Fiducial Scout: our on-board situational awareness software for UAVs. This includes interception detection, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and GNSS-denied visual navigation. You will shape and drive the short-to-medium-term development roadmap. In addition, depending on the project, you may take on the role of Tech Lead, guiding technical direction, coordinating implementation efforts, and ensuring delivery within the scope of a specific project. This is a project-based leadership responsibility within our flat organization, rather than a formal managerial position. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU * Good understanding of, and experience with, modern C++ * Real-time software development experience such as game, simulation, robotics or embedded development. * Second-nature familiarity with 3D reconstruction concepts: projective geometry, bundle adjustment, PnP, triangulation, feature description, image matching. Experience with building photogrammetry, augmented reality, robotics or visual (inertial) odometry (VIO) solutions * Experience with 3D Gaussian Splatting or derivatives * Deep intuition for transform trees and pose representations used in game engines, computer graphics, and robotics. For example, you can work confidently with quaternions and common spatial math without relying on a pre-made framework * Hands-on experience calibrating camera intrinsics/extrinsics. Practical experience with cheap cameras and calibration drift in real-world conditions * Experience ensuring timestamp integrity and tight time alignment across sensors including diagnosing and correcting time offsets, jitter, dropped frames, and clock sync issues in an onboard pipeline * Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL) and graphics pipelines (Vulkan, OpenGL) * Experience with AI coding agents and prompt engineering to accelerate your effectiveness and codebase ownership as a tech lead * A high degree of autonomy, determination and grit in making cool tech work. * Big plus: Experience integrating software on UAVs (onboard constraints, deployment/debugging in flight-test conditions) * Big plus: awareness of the zeitgeist in the current 3D vision academic literature * Full time availability (40 hours) These are a lot of requirements. As a 3D Packaging & Tooling Engineer, you won't just be running a recipe, you will be the lead architect for how our VIO products are physically realized. You will take high-precision assembly machines and push them beyond their factory specs to handle novel 3D architectures and the precise tolerances required for optimal device performance. What you'll be doing * Tooling Adaptation: Lead the modification and customization of high-precision assembly equipment (e.g., flip-chip bonders, die attaches) to meet unique quantum 3D integration requirements. * Advanced Process Development: Develop sub-micron placement and bonding processes (thermo-compression bonding, laser-assisted bonding, coldwelding) for non-standard substrates. Lead the evaluation of glues, adhesives, and solder materials. You will determine which materials can meet our alignment requirements while surviving the extreme thermal cycling and vacuum conditions of a dilution refrigerator. * Non-Standard 3D Assembly: Design and execute "out-of-the-box" integration strategies, including multi-die stacking, interposer-based 3D architectures, and orthogonal (vertical) chip placement. * Vendor Management: Interface directly with equipment manufacturers to drive co-development of specialized hardware. Your Profile * Education: BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or Materials Science. * Deep Tooling Fluency: 7+ years of hands-on experience with high-accuracy semiconductor assembly platforms. You are the person who knows which bolts to turn and which sensors to override to get the results you need. * Precision Assembly Expertise: Proven track record of achieving <1µm (or even <0.5µm) placement accuracy in a production or R&D environment. * 3D Integration Knowledge: Deep understanding of 3D integration (TSVs, micro-bumps, or Interposers) and how these structures behave under thermal stress. Experience with materials (solders, underfills, adhesives) that must remain stable in high-vacuum or cryogenic environments. * Education: BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or Materials Science.   Don't tick every box?
