Its portfolio of international clients spans a wide range of end markets including financial services, telecommunications, travel & mobility, gaming, and other industries.   This position is based in Rennes, France.   We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer who can strengthen our product quality across Web, API, and Mobile platforms. In this role, you will build and maintain automated tests, validate end-to-end workflows, and support the stability of customer-facing integrations. You will collaborate with developers, embedded QA engineers, and platform teams to ensure releases meet customer expectations.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AUTOMATION * Develop and maintain automated test suites for Web, Mobile (Appium), and Backend API flows. * Implement integration tests across microservices using mocks, stubs, and reference backservers. * Contribute to end-to-end automation of real customer workflows. * Ensure repeatability, scalability, and stability of automated tests. CI/CD & TOOLING * Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. * Maintain test reporting and monitoring dashboards. * Contribute to test data setup and staging environment readiness. COLLABORATION * Work closely with developers, embedded QAs, Product Owners, and DevOps. * Engage early in feature development to identify risks and testability concerns. * Support continuous improvement of automation and testing practices.   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE * 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with similar responsibilities. * Strong experience with Python. * Experience with Selenium / Playwright for web automation. * Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation. * Strong REST API testing using Python requests. * Knowledge of microservices and integration testing. * CI/CD exposure and understanding of pipeline stages. * Strong debugging mindset (logs, tracing, network calls). * Self-driven, proactive, and hands-on. * Strong debugging and analytical mindset. * Capable of owning automation tasks end-to-end. * Comfortable across backend, web, and mobile automation. * Fluent English and working proficiency in French is required. A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING * Create and execute testing scenarios for manual and functional testing on our products using available tools such as physical testing devices and BrowserStack, across multiple platforms * Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end test suites using JavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright. * Create and optimise UI and integration tests that support a multi-brand, multi-jurisdiction ecosystem. * Participate in development lifecycle activities: refinements, technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and quality gate definition. * Implement and maintain test data strategies, mocks, stubs, and service virtualization where appropriate. * Participate in the identification and troubleshooting of issues across frontend, API, and integrations. * Collaborate with engineering teams to improve testability, observability, and debugging capabilities. * Use dashboards and reporting tools (Allure, Grafana, Kibana, OpenSearch, etc.) to analyse failures, detect patterns, and improve reliability. * Drive a quality-first mindset, advocating for automation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across BX. * Mentor and support other QA Engineers and Developers in quality best practices, shift-left testing mindset, tooling, and design. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:   * Strong experience writing and executing test scenarios, covering technical and product requirements, identifying pitfalls and edge cases, to ensure high confidence in our Releases. * Hands-on experience with Playwright, or equivalent automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, WebdriverIO) using JavaScript/TypeScript. * Solid understanding of test strategies, including mocking, isolation, reliability improvements, and root-cause analysis. * Proactive ownership mindset, focused on continuous improvement and solving problems at their root. * Excellent communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts and mentor team members. BONUS POINTS FOR: * Experience working with microfrontends, component libraries, or distributed frontend architectures. * Clear understanding of all levels of functional testing, including Unit Testing. * Exposure to non-functional testing, specifically Performance Testing using tools such as K6 or JMeter. * Knowledge of contract testing (Pact or similar) is considered an asset. * Exposure to TDD practices. * Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions or TeamCity.
