The purpose of Platform Engineering is to enable Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem. As a storage engineer of our Storage team in Bengaluru, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining data storage systems and solutions. This role involves the end-to-end management of our organization's data storage infrastructure. This includes strategic design for scalability, hands-on implementation and integration, continuous performance monitoring, capacity planning, security, and troubleshooting. It also requires proactive maintenance with updates, backups, disaster recovery, and planning for future growth by evaluating and recommending new technologies for data availability, reliability, and efficiency.  SOUNDS EXCITING? What You’ll Do:  * Design and deploy storage infrastructure (SAN, NAS, DAS, Object Storage) in accordance with organizational needs.  * Monitor and maintain storage systems to guarantee optimal performance, availability, and reliability.  * Perform capacity planning and forecasting for future storage needs.  * Develop and implement strategies for backup, replication, and disaster recovery.  * Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage systems.  * Maintain documentation of configurations, procedures, and standards.  * Collaborate with other Platform Engineering teams on system upgrades, migrations, and integrations.  * Automate storage provisioning and management using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools   Who You Are:  * 5+ years of experience in Linux systems administration with a focus on storage (e.g., Ceph) {MANDATE} * Proven experience with enterprise storage systems (e.g., Purestorage, NetApp, EMC, Dell, IBM, Hitachi). {MANDATE} * You have a strong understanding of RAID, LVM, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing, and file systems (ext4, XFS, ZFS, etc.) {MANDATE} * Hands-on experience with enterprise storage systems and clustering technologies  * Proficiency in shell scripting;  * You have Python, Puppet or Ansible knowledge experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or KVM.  * You have familiarity with cloud storage solutions like AWS S3 and EBS.  * Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.)   Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments  Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives. The Infrastructure Operations organization is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Cluster Manager in Sweden. You will lead a large organization managing multiple data centers in the cluster, overseeing managers responsible for critical facility infrastructure. The pace, scale, and growth of Amazon's data center platform will challenge you. We seek experienced senior leaders who are highly strategic in managing their business unit, yet lead by example and roll up their sleeves when required. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data center and mission-critical MEP infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining 100% service uptime in our cluster, maintaining a high-level view while diving deep into details as needed. You will interact daily with global teams, representing Sweden Data Center Engineering Operations. Key job responsibilities Team Leadership & Development: Hire, manage, and develop the operations management team including Facility Managers, Chief Engineers, and Facility Technicians. Maintain 100% service uptime across your cluster. Manage all facility-related repairs in a timely manner. Organizational Structure: Build and maintain a sustainable organizational structure. Vendor Management: Manage colocation data center service providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLAs. Incident Management: Lead safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, incident resolution, and root cause analysis. Fluency in English to communicate effectively with global teams. Driving license valid in EU. Preferred qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related fields. Experience managing or implementing system health, performance monitoring, capacity planning, or process improvement and automation. Experience supporting procedures for production or mission-critical environments including ticketing, monitoring/metrics, and troubleshooting technical issues. Fluency in Swedish.
