ABOUT THE TEAM At its core, Stripe is a treasury company, and the Treasury Finance team is central to building the Global Payments and Treasury Network (GPTN). Treasury Finance Operations (TFin Ops) plays a critical role in the strategy, execution, and support of core functions of Treasury Finance, including cash management and forecasting, bank account management, investment execution and oversight, intercompany funding, and more. We're at an exciting inflection point and are investing heavily in AI to fundamentally transform how we operate. This role sits at the intersection of Treasury Finance expertise and applied AI and will be instrumental in building and scaling the Treasury Finance AI strategy. You'll work within a globally connected team to build AI-powered agents and automation solutions that make our operational workflows faster, more accurate, and more scalable. WHAT YOU'LL DO You'll work closely with Treasury Finance subject matter experts and the broader Finance AI ecosystem to build and operationalize AI agents and automation solutions that transform how Treasury Finance teams work. You'll move from understanding manual workflows to shipping effective solutions—and then enabling the team to maintain them independently. RESPONSIBILITIES * Build and operationalize AI agents for Treasury use cases such as cash forecasting, bank account management, alerting and reporting, and workflow automation, using internal agentic platforms and automation tools at Stripe * Deliver solutions end-to-end, from prototype to implementation and handoff * Automate manual and repetitive Treasury processes by identifying high-impact opportunities, designing scalable solutions, and iterating based on team feedback * Drive Treasury Finance AI strategy by maintaining a prioritized backlog of automation opportunities, tracking impact, and contributing to the team's long-term AI roadmap in partnership with Finance AI Solution Architecture and domain leads * Design and maintain knowledge layers and data pipelines that improve agent accuracy, including structured reference data, validation frameworks, and data quality controls * Independently scope automation opportunities, navigate platform constraints through creative problem-solving, and balance speed with quality to deliver impact quickly * Explore and prototype emerging AI applications to address evolving Treasury challenges WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in software development, data science, or treasury and finance roles * Experience with emerging AI and LLM tools, conversational interfaces, prompt engineering, automation platforms or RPA, and LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar tools used to build AI applications and agentic systems * Solid understanding of AI fundamentals, including deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI * Familiarity with modern data tools such as Python, Databricks, ETL and ELT processes, and data pipelines, along with experience coding with AI assistance * Strong proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and using CTEs, window functions, and joins for data analysis and pipeline logic * Track record of independently scoping and delivering technical solutions for process improvement, with strong ownership and self-sufficiency * Strong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to identify root causes of data issues, debug complex problems, and resolve inconsistencies PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Familiarity with the payments industry and fintech landscape * Experience with Databricks and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure * Software engineering experience in Ruby * Experience working in high-growth technology companies with rapidly evolving processes and tools

The Seller Systems team composes first‑party, custom Stripe components with best‑in‑class third‑party business systems to deliver configurable, auditable, and globally scalable workflows. Engineers on Seller Systems build services, APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and internal UIs that power seller productivity, reduce time‑to‑activation, improve deal velocity, and enable AI‑driven assistive workflows. Use cases include deal modeling and pricing engines, approval and orchestration platforms, CLM/CPQ integrations, onboarding automation, seller analytics, and AI‑assisted seller tooling. Finance Engineering — Responsible for building the robust and scalable infrastructure that powers the company's core financial operations, including payments processing, fund settlement, accounting, and business intelligence. The Finance Engineering team is at the core of Stripe to empower business-critical financial domains including Accounting, Finance operations, Finance and Strategy, and Treasury. Engineers on the Financial Engineering team build platforms, data pipelines, and financial products for the Finance team. The use cases include financial analytics and insights, accounting automation, auditing, financial planning and forecasting, and financial business intelligence. Marketing and Sales Systems — Responsible for building the most measurable, cross-channel messaging capability possible, to attract and engage customers. We do this through scalable motions, with the most relevant messaging and increasing reach of our marketing motions. We are a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts, marketers, and product managers that deliver the insights, internal systems and tools that fuel growth at Stripe. As part of the Marketing Systems team, you own systems that power go-to-market motions productizing gathered insights and intelligence. This includes building tools that 1/ power better digital experiences, 2/ accelerate customer journey with intelligent orchestrations, 3/ drive smarter decisions with CDP, and 4/ improve marketer and seller productivity. WHAT YOU'LL DO We're looking for Software Engineers who want to make an impact on managing money at a global scale with a passion for building ergonomic APIs. You'll play a key role in extending our balance management platform and in building out a new funds accessibility platform leveraged by enterprises and SMBs alike. Our team collaborates with many cross-functional teams — from Infrastructure to Product — at Stripe to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving user needs. We are the Financial Enablement team, acting as the centralized data analytics team for Internal System Org. Enable and empower F&S, GTM, Accounting, Product teams to achieve business goals, through dataset development, data analytics support, dashboards, AI, and operation efficiency enhancements.
