About the role We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Birmingham. This is a varied and hands-on role where you will play an important part in ensuring that our specialist alloy materials are received, processed and delivered to customers safely, accurately and on time. You will be involved in both warehouse operations and material processing, working with customer orders from receipt through to dispatch. The role combines practical warehouse work with quality control, stock management and production-related activities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic working environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. You will report to the Managing Director and work closely with colleagues across Sales and Quality to ensure an excellent customer experience. Your mission is to help ensure that materials are handled safely, processed accurately and delivered efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, traceability and workplace safety. What you'll do Your responsibilities will include, among others: Receiving, unloading and inspecting incoming materials and deliveries Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for shipment Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently Operating warehouse equipment and material processing machinery, including saws and cutting equipment Processing customer orders according to specifications and quality requirements Performing basic dimensional and quality checks Identifying, labelling and maintaining traceability of materials Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting inventory activities Processing orders and transactions in our ERP system Supporting stock management and warehouse organization Following Health & Safety procedures and maintaining a clean and safe working environment Collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure customer requirements are met Contributing to continuous improvements in warehouse processes and ways of working As our business continues to grow, the role may evolve with additional responsibilities and development opportunities over time. Your mission at Voi We’re looking for a hands‑on Fleet Technician & Van Driver to keep Voi’s vehicles safe, available and in great condition across Gloucester. You’ll split your time between the warehouse and the streets, using our e‑vans to move, repair and recharge the fleet. If you enjoy being on the move, solving practical problems and seeing the impact of your work every day, this role is for you. Here are some of the tasks awaiting you as a Fleet Specialist: In‑field operations (driving & logistics) You’ll use our company e‑vans to: * Collect and deploy our fleet in the Gloucester area to ensure availability in the right locations * Search for and collect damaged or incorrectly parked vehicles * Replace batteries in the field to keep vehicles charged and ready to ride * Support the local team with tasks such as clearing parking areas and setting up fallen vehicles Workshop & maintenance (repairs & safety) At our warehouse, you’ll: * Perform quick inspections and on‑site repairs of vehicles * Diagnose and repair damaged or non‑functional vehicles * Recycle and dismantle vehicles that can’t be repaired, following our sustainability standards * Help receive, unpack and prepare new vehicles and batteries * Keep the workspace organised, safe and efficient. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Gloucester team and your Operations Manager to hit our fleet availability and quality targets. What you'll need to embark * Mandatory requirement – Driving licence: You must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points and no major offences, to meet our e-van insurance requirements. Licence checks will be conducted during the recruitment process. As part of the role, you will be required to drive one of our company e-vans * In-depth knowledge of your city and you’re used to driving in your city * Responsible team player that can manage tasks alone and also work well together in a group * Ability to motivate others and to share knowledge within the team * Pragmatic problem-solving mentality that executes tasks, finds solutions and works hard to reach the team targets and OKR’s * Ready to navigate your city in a van under any weather and traffic conditions * Has the ability to react calmly to stressful situations (poor parking, traffic…) * You have a physical condition that allows you to carry heavy loads * PLEASE NOTE: You may be required to go through a DBS Check for this role Job conditions * Shifts: Flexibility to work shifts, including possible shifts during nights and weekends * Working hours: Part Time * Contract type: 6 month fixed‑term contract, with the potential for extension depending on performance and business needs Why Voi? Your mission at Voi For the position as a Warehouse Operative/Driver - (Fleet Specialist), you'll have the possibility of working in two different areas, depending on workload and suitability. We have our mechanical team, where you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our vehicles. This means keeping our scooters in top shape and provide strong support to our team on the ground. We also have our In field team, where you'll be utilising our vans to perform different tasks in the Cambridge area, making sure our operations runs as efficiently as possible.
