At Ledger, we’re proud to be the global platform for digital assets and Web3, with over 20% of the world’s crypto assets secured through our Ledger devices. With our headquarters in Paris, and offices in Vierzon, Grenoble, Montpellier, London, Portland, Geneva, Zurich and Central Singapore, we have a team of around 600 professionals developing a variety of products and services to enable individuals and companies to securely buy, store, swap, grow and manage crypto assets – including the Ledger hardware wallets line with more than 7.5 millions units already sold in 200 countries. The team To sustain the company's growth, Ledger is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Cloud Wallet team. This team is responsible for the backend services that power blockchain account management, transaction processing, and on-chain data aggregation across all Ledger wallet surfaces, from Ledger Live to the Ledger Enterprise platform. We believe in the power of functional programming to build robust and scalable platforms. We take time to share, challenge, and grow together through bi-weekly knowledge-sharing sessions, meetups, conferences, and open source contributions. What you’ll be doing * Lead and grow your team. Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and the professional development of your engineers. Run regular 1:1s, support career growth, and build a high-performing, engaged team. * Drive technical delivery. Own the team's roadmap and PI planning commitments. Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery across the team's service portfolio and ongoing architectural initiatives while coordinating across dependencies with Coin Integration, Ledger Enterprise, Ledger Live, and Infrastructure teams. * Maintain operational excellence. Own SLIs/SLOs for team services. Lead incident response posture, on-call culture, and observability standards for production-critical systems. * Architect for scale and reliability. Partner with tech leads and staff engineers to drive sound technical decisions on a polyglot stack (TypeScript, Scala) handling high throughput, multi-chain complexity, and strict reliability requirements. Review ADRs and ensure architectural coherence. * Champion engineering practices. Drive strong standards on CI/CD, testing (including end-to-end on testnets), code review quality, technical debt management, and AI-assisted engineering workflows. * Contribute to org-level initiatives. Participate in cross-BU architectural working groups, PI planning, and engineering efficiency programs. You will collaborate cross-functionally with: * The Blockchain platform team for data model alignment, indexing and event streaming * The Coin Integration team for coin module ownership and new blockchain integrations * The Ledger Enterprise team for enterprise wallet features and operational alignment * The Ledger Live / Wallet XP teams as consumers of the team's backend APIs * The Infrastructure and SRE teams for platform reliability and scalability * The Product team for roadmap prioritization and customer-driven requirements * The Security team for vulnerability analysis and compliance What we’re looking for * Proven experience (3+ years) managing backend engineering teams in a product-driven, distributed environment * Strong technical background in backend systems. You can credibly challenge architectural decisions, review design documents, and unblock engineers on hard technical problems * Experience operating services at scale and familiarity with high-availability architectures, event-driven systems, and observability tooling (RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Flink, NATS, Datadog or equivalent) * Comfortable with polyglot stacks. The team works across TypeScript and Scala; you don't need to be an expert in both but need enough depth to lead effectively * Track record of navigating complex multi-team dependencies and influencing across organizational boundaries without direct authority * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Bonus points: exposure to blockchain or crypto infrastructure (account indexing, transaction lifecycle, UTXO vs account-based models), and a genuine interest in the Web3 space

We believe AI is how we accelerate that shift, and it's our people who lead it. As we build towards a more AI-driven way of working, human judgment, curiosity, and creativity matter more than ever. We're looking for a Engineering Manager to join us, maybe that's you? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Job Mission 🚀 As Engineering Manager in House of Trading, you'll lead the team that sits at the intersection of electricity markets and algorithmic trading - the people, quants, and data scientists building the systems that balance the grid in real time. You'll be accountable for three things, and they reinforce each other: the people in your team, the delivery of your area, and the technology it runs on. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What you'll do ✅ People - Run the full management cycle for engineers in House of Trading , hiring, onboarding, performance, and development. Coach people at all levels and build a team where different perspectives and ways of thinking are genuinely welcomed. Delivery - help the team ship with quality Partner closely with the Trading leads and engineers to keep priorities clear and the team moving. Balance short-term delivery with long-term sustainability, and represent the team in cross-functional forums. Technology - stay close to what matters Keep a clear picture of the technical health of the area: architecture, quality, and risk. Work with the Staff Engineer to set technical direction and connect it to business outcomes. Ensure the stability of the trading platform, and know when to put reliability before new features Lead the agentic transition Help engineers shift their focus - from writing code to directing, reviewing, and owning the output of agents. Work with Staff Engineers to build team practices for quality, oversight, and good engineering judgment in an agentic world. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What we're looking for⚡ Experience leading people - You have a real track record of developing engineers through career growth, honest feedback, and building teams where people feel safe to take risks and speak up. Energy market domain fluency - You thrive at the intersection of algorithmic trading and electricity market physics. Whether you come from FinTech or Energy, you have a deep understanding of how software interacts with volatile markets and physical constraints. Technical fluency - You have a strong engineering background and stay close enough to architecture, quality, and trade-offs to make good calls. You know how to hold the bar without needing to be the deepest technical voice in the room. Curiosity about agentic engineering - You're excited about leading a team through the shift toward agents writing and shipping code, and you have a point of view on what good human oversight and engineering judgment look like in that world. Stakeholder communication - You adapt your language and message depending on who's in the room, whether that's engineers or senior leadership. A growth mindset -You treat setbacks as information, not failure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Tibber Mindset 💆🏻♀️💆🏽♂️ Tibber exists to drive energy independence - away from fossil dependency.
