YOUR MISSION *Full time or 30hr/week possible* As JUNA's Senior Accountant, you will own the full reporting cycle across our European entities — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information as we scale. You'll work closely with external accounting partners in multiple countries and serve as the internal anchor for group-level financial integrity. * Perform monthly and annual close accounting processes in close collaboration with our local external accounting partners. * Prepare financial reports and variance analyses; own consolidated reporting across all JUNA entities, aligning inter-company flows. * Manage communications with external accounting offices in Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, France, and Spain. * Take full ownership of group reporting, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines. * Ensure compliance with German accounting standards (HGB) and applicable tax regulations. * Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and support system implementations as JUNA scales. What That Looks Like In the first 3-6 months: * Ramp Up Quickly: Become fully onboarded into JUNA's accounting systems and tools, building a solid understanding of our entity structure and reporting flows. * Own Core Processes: Independently manage accounts payable and receivable, and complete your first solo month-end close accurately and on time. * Build Key Relationships: Establish reliable, trust-based working relationships with our external accounting offices across Europe. After 12 months: * Seamless Collaboration: Work in sync with external accounting teams across all JUNA entities, ensuring smooth coordination and minimal friction. * Consistent Group Reporting: Deliver consolidated reporting regularly within agreed deadlines and with minimal corrections. * Trusted Owner: Be recognized as a proactive, reliable owner of the full reporting cycle and balance sheet — the go-to person for financial accuracy and compliance. * Process Champion: Have identified and implemented improvements to accounting workflows, contributing meaningfully to JUNA's operational scalability. YOUR PROFILE What you bring: * Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field. * Fluent German (C1) is required for HGB compliance and communication with our German-entity stakeholders; English (C1) is required for cross-border coordination with our European accounting partners. * Solid knowledge of HGB (German accounting standards) — this is mandatory. * Experience managing accounts payable/receivable and performing month-end and year-end close processes. * Comfort working with external accounting partners across multiplejurisdictions. * Proficiencywith accounting software and ERP systems; experience with consolidation tools is a plus. Who you are: * Sharp and detail-oriented — you catch errors before they become problems and take pride in numerical accuracy. * Proactive and structured — you manage your workload independently and flag issues early rather than waiting to be asked. * Reliable under deadlines — you understand that close cycles have hardstopsand you plan accordingly. * Analytical mindset — you don't just process numbers, you understand what they mean and can explain variances clearly. * Collaborative spirit — you work well with external partners and internal stakeholders across different countries and functions. Bonus points if you have: * Experience with multi-entity or group consolidation accounting. * Exposure to scaling finance functions in a startup or fast-growth environment. * Familiarity with IFRS in addition to HGB. Total Compensation Range: €69,380 – €89,760 THE POSITION If you're excited about working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and passionate about Finance, this opportunity is for you! We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our Finance team in Berlin. You'll take ownership of the group's most complex accounting topics: with a strong focus on monthly reporting, group consolidation, year-end procedures and audit readiness across our multi-entity European structure, while keeping the bigger picture in view at all times. Your mission: You'll be the go-to expert and sparring partner for demanding accounting and reporting topics, helping us maintain the highest standards in financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency across all entities. With your structured mindset and hands-on approach, you'll own complex processes end-to-end and contribute to a Finance team that runs its processes smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will: * Take full ownership of the group consolidation process in Lucanet: eliminating intercompany differences, managing eliminations, and ensuring our consolidated financial data is consistent and audit-ready across all entities at all times. * Handle intercompany accounting end-to-end: including reconciliation and clear documentation of intercompany flows across the group's European entities. * Prepare and review complex accrual calculations, provisions and cost accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy. * Drive AP & AR clean-up projects, identifying aged items, mispostings, and open reonciling items, and working cross-functionally to resolve them. * Support transfer pricing, preparing transfer pricing documentation in collaboration with our external tax advisors. * Be the sparring partner for our external auditors, handling audit queries and coordinating documentation. * Support the monthly reporting cycle by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany positions: catching issues early and ensuring consistency across the group. * Contribute to the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB). Of course, you will also: * Collaborate with the Finance team to support a smooth and efficient year-end closing process. * Continuously look for ways to improve and automate consolidation, reporting, and documentation workflows. * Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that elevate the quality and scalability of our Finance operations. * Closely collaborate with Billing and FP&A functions to ensure clean and accurate financial data, forming a strong basis for reliable reporting and audit readiness. YOUR PROFILE We know, sometimes, you can't tick every box. We would still love to hear from you if you think you're a good fit! * Experienced & Reliable: You bring 3-4 years of experience in (group) accounting, financial reporting, or audit. Experience at a Big 4 firm is a strong plus. * Expert in Group Accounting & Consolidation: You have solid, hands-on knowledge of HGB (German GAAP), group consolidation, month end close. You're comfortable owning these processes end-to-end in a multi-entity environment. * Detail-Oriented, and Big-Picture Aware: You take pride in getting the details right, but you also understand how individual accounting tasks connect to the broader financial reporting landscape. You use that perspective to prioritise, flag risks early, and add value beyond the immediate task. * Reviewing Mindset: You enjoy working through financial data and outputs with a critical, structured eye: identifying gaps and inconsistencies in a constructive, collaborative way. * Tool-Savvy: You've worked with tools like Lucanet and DATEV and feel confident navigating finance systems to streamline your work. * Communicator & Sparring Partner: You're proactive and confident working with colleagues, external auditors, and tax advisors, and you enjoy being a thought partner, not just an executor. * Language Skills: You're fluent in English and comfortable using it in meetings, reporting, and documentation. German is a strong plus. * Education & Mindset: You hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and are motivated to grow in a dynamic, international environment.
